2 out of 5 eggsUSB 3 not stable

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: has USB and mini USB connector

Cons: Doesn't work well with usb 3

Other Thoughts: This flash drive does not work well with usb 3.0 ports, connection drops constantly when copying files over few hundred MBs.

I am using surface pro 3, using the docking station. I was never able to copy large video files over USB 3. It fails in less than 10 seconds if the files I am copying are over 500MB.
My other USB 3 flash drive from other manufacturer never have this problem.

Copying large over USB 2 ports is fine, but only at USB 2 speed.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear customer,

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with transfering over USB 3.0, we suggest that test this drive on another USB 3.0 port to see if the issue still occurs because it's possible that the port that you use could be causing the disconnects. If the issue is persists, we suggest that you contact us by submitting a ticket at corsair.force.com or calling us at 888-222-4346 and we'll be more than happy to ship you a new drive.

Thank you,
Corsair Customer Support

2 out of 5 eggsFirst one was DOA...

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: Large capacity and a great price for a USB 3.0 flash drive

Cons: I ordered 4 of these... one 64GB and three 32GB flash drives. The 32GB versions all worked great, the single 64GB version in my order was DOA.

Other Thoughts: I have an RMA with Newegg and hoping to get a 64GB drive that works this time around... I will update in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsGood drive for what I want to do

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: Large capacity, small.

Cons: Not rocket fast, but it's decent for file transfers between computers...

Other Thoughts: Only had this item since 11-14-2014, but I needed a larger drive than 16 GB and this fit the bill for a decent price.

Time will tell how good the drive holds up, but I like the Corsair company and their products.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little Drive

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: Great Capacity, Small, Fast and flexible

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This unique little drive is great. With 64GB of USB 3 space, I never run out of space, and I love the small size because it will not block other USB Ports on your computer. You may want to make sure you have this little thing on a lanyard, because it can be easy to loose without one. You Gota love the 5 Warranty. Nice Job Corsair!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing little device.

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: OTG and USB 3.0 in one device without an adappter
Small !!
Micro USB end has a cap.
Durable (see below!!)

Cons: USB 3.0 end has no cap or cover. Needs one!!
Small, easy to overlook when in a pocket.

Other Thoughts: Due to its small size I inadvertently left it in my pants pocket when I did laundry. The thumb drive went through the whole wash and spin cycle, although it came out of the pocket and I found it in the washer before it went into the dryer. After letting it sit for a while to make sure it was dry, I plugged it in and used it. Seems to be working fine.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat flash drive

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: Not the fastest transfers I've seen on flash drives, but its still pretty darn fast. Love the micro usb on the other side. Very easy to go from PC to tablet to smartphone etc. Mounts and operates just fine on all the OS and devices that i come across in PC repair.
64GB!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great quality you'd expect from Corsair, and unique design that works well!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing thumbdrive

This review is from: CORSAIR Flash Voyager GO 64GB USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive Model CMFVG-64GB-NA

Pros: Pros are the huge storage 57 gb after format.Android phone support is genius.A very small but sturdy case.USB 3.0 speeds are nothing to complain about especially when moving large files ,in the 45mbps range.Small files are average speed for usb3.0 but very acceptable
I was able to finally after years backup and transfer a friends xp computer to windows 7 ,all his personal files since 2002 transferred in less than 30 minutes!WOW
Another use i find using over and over is watching hd movies on my android phone .I would use it more often but seems everyone in the household cant keep their hand off this little wonder and it disappears for days..

Cons: All the cons are just being very picky, but other than it being so small iam afraid i will lose it.I found no deal breaking cons ,only other thoughts listed in the next paragraph.

Other Thoughts: Some thoughts on the otterbox and some other phone cases.Yes you will have to remove the case to access the micro usb port. Also i was dissappointed my Windows 8 phone wouldnt recognize the corsair.I am noticing on different devices ,laptops, desktops, phones, that sometimes you have to insert the corsair a 2nd time before it is recognized.
Now i have to buy a nice keychain to do this thumbdrive justice.Very Nice. 5 star flash drive.
