You have to hold the iPad Air to believe it. It's just 7.5mm thick and weighs just 1lb. The stunning Retina display sits inside thinner bezels, so all you see is your content. And an incredible amount of power lies inside the sleek enclosure. You will do so much more with so much less.

The new A7 chip in iPad Air was designed with 64-bit architecture. It delivers killer performance — up to two times faster CPU and graphics performance than its predecessor — without sacrificing battery life. So you get incredible power in a device you can take with you wherever you go.

iOS 7 was designed to take advantage of the 64-bit architecture. So it's every bit as advanced as the iPad Air it runs on. And with new features like smarter multitasking, Control Center, and AirDrop, iOS 7 makes the experience of using an iPad Air even more beautiful and simple. Because iOS 7 and iPad Air weren't just designed to work together - they were designed to enhance one another.

The redesigned Smart Cover and Smart Case are a perfect fit for the iPad Air. It automatically wakes when opened and goes to sleep when closed. The cover and case also fold to create a great stand for reading, viewing, and typing. And they come in a whole range of colors. So they don't just work smart, they look smart.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat! Except 1 minor flaw

Pros: Cant go wrong with Apple devices!

Cons: I noticed my screen would wig out occasionally shortly after I purchased it. I wasn't sure what was the issue until I closely examined the screen by tilting at an angle. I notice some sort of moisture in the inside of he screen. I know It was not from being dropped or damaged since I did not take it out of the box for long until the Life-proof case came out for it. I just contacted apple regarding issue and am sending it to them for repair/replacement

Other Thoughts: Other than that. I love Apple products

5 out of 5 eggsIts Great.

Pros: Its very light weight and the battery last forever. I use it for college and store all my text books on it via e-book. I would highly recommend this to those looking for something light and simple. Note This is not for intense work purposes in my opinion. just more of a friendly easy rouse tablet for games, books, browsing, that sort of stuff.

Cons: None so far to my knowledge because i knew what i was getting.

Other Thoughts: In regards to my cons statement, Please do your research before purchasing. Youtube is an excellent source of comparisons between any tech gear your interested in. If your looking for a multi task intense tablet, Get the windows Microsoft Pro tablet. If not then the iPad will be perfect for you.

1 out of 5 eggsSoftware Regulates Charging?

Pros: Since New Egg doesn't allow editing prior reviews, I had to put in this one.

Cons: So a bit more investigation on my part lead me to believe that Apple may be regulating charging with software. When the iPad is turned on, putting in the cable brings up the message "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPad." This means that the device will not charge, even hours later. After turning off the iPad, without removing the cable, the tablet is recharged back to 100% hours later. Of course, the downside is you can't use your device while charging. Hopefully Apple can patch this issue in a later iOS release.

2 out of 5 eggsLightning Adaptor Brings Down Experience

Pros: Stable OS. Apple apps store has plenty of free apps. Decent camera and video capabilities, good enough to replace cheap pocket cameras if you don't mind carrying a bulkier device. Relatively easy to use.

Cons: Does not multitask. Must buy Apple memory at far above market price compared to other vendors. Safari browser still lacks capabilities/ease of use compared to PC/Linux workstation/laptop. Not ideal for office work and obviously image editing. Speakers near home button can get clogged with dead skin cells depending on how you hold the device. Don't forget to update to iOS 7.0.6 if you frequent public wifi hot spots and don't want strangers obtaining your Facebook, bank, or other account information.

Biggest pet peeve is the lightning adapter cable. After owning it for just a few months, I need to spend several minutes to hours cleaning the lightning adaptor port of lint/debris in the iPad with every other recharge to get it to charge at all. Keep in mind this is with the factory charger and cable that came with the product. Very poorly designed component overlooked by Apple, or maybe not. Official Apple replacements are costly at ~$20 for the DC converter and ~$15 for the lightning cable.

Other Thoughts: For such an expensive item, I expected something as basic but critical such as charging the device to be a non-issue. Instead I find myself dealing with this several times a week, sometimes waking up in the morning to the unpleasant fact that I've only got 5% charge. Based on my experience with my cable failing in just a few months, users can easily spend +$100 more in the lifetime of this device on the lightning cables alone. Very disappointed.
