5 out of 5 eggsUnexpected

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W SLI/CrossFire Ready Continuous Power ATX12V v2.31 / EPS v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 5 Year Warranty Active PFC Power Supply Haswell Ready TR-700

Pros: Very reliable

looks sleek

runs cool and quiet

very cheap

Cons: no room for upgrading past my current hardware as Im getting about at the max power output this baby will give me (480w) see other for hardware comparison

Other Thoughts: I would totally recommend this to someone who is on a budget

this is not a 80+ bronze PSU due to its actual power out put of being for me 490w which is not 80+ but it still runs everything just fine which takes it away from the cons section. Anything more that what I got, even another stick of ram or a wifi card and the pc will not boot so I know im at the threshold.

I see allot of people reviewing this and not stating what their powering

MSI 990fxa
FX 8370 OC (4.7)
8gb DDR3 Adata 1x8gb
Sapphire R9 390 Nitro
2x Corsair 120 gb SSD's
seagate barricuda 500gb

very cost effective power supply will buy again

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W SLI/CrossFire Ready Continuous Power ATX12V v2.31 / EPS v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 5 Year Warranty Active PFC Power Supply Haswell Ready TR-700

Pros: Works just fine.
Mobo is telling me that everything is at the correct voltage.
Looks great.
Quiet.

Cons: It says on the box easy able management. The wires are too long and a little awkward, but not a big complaint for the price.

Other Thoughts: Unless you want modular, this works just fine for a good price.

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W SLI/CrossFire Ready Continuous Power ATX12V v2.31 / EPS v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 5 Year Warranty Active PFC Power Supply Haswell Ready TR-700

Pros: great quiet power supply, cheap, worth the price and good for my pc

Cons: couldn't get the power supply with 1000w without paying a lot more.
could use more modular cable selection but not a huge deal for what i use it for

Other Thoughts: i recommend this to people who need a decent power supply or are just looking for a slight upgrade

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing could power the sun!

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W SLI/CrossFire Ready Continuous Power ATX12V v2.31 / EPS v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 5 Year Warranty Active PFC Power Supply Haswell Ready TR-700

Pros: I bought this because it was cheap, and it was before it was rated at 80 Plus Bronze. It's powering my ASUS Sabertooth 2.0 motherboard, two sticks of DDR 3 memory, power hungry FX8350, four HDD's, two optical drives, and two GTX 760's. I've never had an issue with power loss or any hiccups. I have ZERO complaints about the power supply. I wish it was modular, but ehhh. I got it for super cheap.

Cons: None.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works.

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W SLI/CrossFire Ready Continuous Power ATX12V v2.31 / EPS v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 5 Year Warranty Active PFC Power Supply Haswell Ready TR-700

Pros: Good power supply for the price.
Enough Watts for most people.

Cons: Not the best for cable management because of lack of modular cables. I have to bundle all the excess cables together and they look ugly.

Other Thoughts: good enough for budget builds. 700W is plenty for my build. I have used it for about 2 months and it performs as advertised but cable management can be an issue. No cable sleeves means you have to see the yellow and red cables colors.

5 out of 5 eggsPure joy

This review is from: Thermaltake TR2 Bronze 700W SLI/CrossFire Ready Continuous Power ATX12V v2.31 / EPS v2.92 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified 5 Year Warranty Active PFC Power Supply Haswell Ready TR-700

Pros: Amazing 700watt psu, plenty of cables for sli/crossfire, cables long enough to cleanly route through a mid size tower, all cables are hard-wired, consistent, quiet, overall great

Cons: All the cables are hard-wired. Yes it's in the pros too, and while over all it is a food thing, less connectors, mean less room for corrosion and voltage drops and what not. But with all the cables hard-wired in, you will be left with several cables that just kinda hangout... And now, you have to find a place to put them, or have them clutter up the bottom of your case.

Other Thoughts: Over all its amazing. Comes with the ability to run sli/crossfire gpus, and the cables are designed so you only need 1 pigtail running to a gpu or other device that requires 2, 6 pin or 8 pin connectors. It's a strong power supply that has served me well over the last year, and I've not even needed to consider upgrading it. Worth every penny

(For the record, I bought mine from Fry's, but newegg is a few $ cheapercheaper)
