Compared to the Spectre Fan Series, the Spectre Pro PWM comes with an all-new design and enhanced performance. The high-pressure CFM design is controlled by PWM technology for finer speed control - perfect for high-performance CPU coolers. Its unique dual-ring construction helps to dampen vibrations, resulting in less noise. Reinforced fan blades prevent warping at high RPM levels, while focused airflow ensures that cool air can reach all of your installed components. With FDB technology for low noise and long life, and availability in both solid black and solid white variants, the Spectre Pro PWM is the new gold standard in performance CPU-cooling fans.

  • newegg PWM Technology True to its namesake, the Spectre Pro PWM uses pulse width modulation technology to adjust fan speeds. This technology enables your system to control your cooling with much greater precision than conventional linear voltage fans, making them perfect for CPU coolers.
  • newegg High Pressure/CFM Design Engineered for maximum pressure and airflow, Spectre Pro PWM delivers a torrent of air that will keep your CPU cool, even when the action heats up.
  • newegg Dual-Ring Construction With its dual-ring construction, Spectre Pro PWM fans not only offer aggressive looks, but also vibration-dampening properties to keep noise levels in check.
  • newegg Reinforced Fan Blades High rotation speeds can actually warp fan blades while in motion, resulting in more turbulence and noise. The Spectre Pro PWM features reinforced fan blades that resist warping, even when spinning at high speeds for maximum cooling performance.
  • newegg Silent Operation and Long Life The Spectre Pro PWM features fluid, dynamic-bearing technology for minimum noise and maximum operating life.
  • newegg Two Color Versions No two setups are alike, which is why the Spectre Pro PWM comes in both solid black and solid white versions.

3 out of 5 eggsAbove average performance

Pros: The fans have a clean black design. The PWM control to be used with cpu fan connector on mother board is a positive as I control all my other fans with my fan controller. It appears to have decent air pressure as I'm using it with my 240 xspc radiator on my custom water loop.

Cons: The specs on this fan do not seem to match up with some of the fans I've used up to this point (and I've gone through quite a few fans recently). It is very quiet until you hit full blast then you can hear it well (still not as bad as Corsair SP120 High Performance fans as those sound like an airplane engine). One thing threw me off about this fan is that it is more quiet standing vertically than horizontally (when arranged at the top of my case, they were noticeablly louder than when I moved my radiator to the front intake). More like a whining sound when horizontal but still bearable. The air pressure is okay but I expected better air pressure (unless this fan is at full blast, it does not force a great deal of air through the radiator in my experience when compared to some other radiator fans I have).

Other Thoughts: If you get these fans on sale like I did (were only $11 each on Newegg with special discount code and free shipping) these fans are a pretty good deal (decent air pressure and quiet at low RPMs). The issue is if you buy these as quiet fans for your radiator, when they rev up when you need them during gaming session or other high cpu load conditions, the fan speed ramps up and gets pretty loud at 1800 RPM (not just noise from the air flow, it's the motor). The noise to performance ratio doesn't appear to balance out to me (when running at a silent speed, there hardly no air being pushed through the radiator). Buy them if they are on sale. Not a bad fan, just didn't meet my expectations for my custom loop.

5 out of 5 eggsBlows Pro's

Pros: Great fan and super quiet. The fan was installed on my Corsair CORSAIR Hydro Series H50 Q/E Liquid CPU Cooler.
The Fluid Dynamic Bearings and the 26.1dB make it a true winner along with a 4 pin WPM connector.
The balck edition is perfect for my Black Thermaltake CA-1B5-00M1WN-00 Case.
It was installed instead of the stock fan that came with the cooler as i wanted a better fan for the job at hand.
Can't go wrong with this fan - a real winner.

Cons: Did not come with a Free CORSAIR Hydro Series H50

Other Thoughts: Makes a great fan for just a case fan if you want Quite and controllability. Made very well and i would like to be able to afford to put in 4 more, but they are not buy one get one Free. lol

5 out of 5 eggsNice and silent

Pros: I at first have never used bitfenix but this fan was easy to I install. I used the rubber screws that came with it instead and it works great a few days in on a newly built system.

Cons: No instructions. When I got the spectre pro I had no instructions on what the rubber screws where or how to use them. If a new pic builder is just starting they won't know either unless they go on YouTube and find a video. I never used rubber screws before I always used the rubber rings with the regular screws. But now that I know I like the rubber screws best.

5 out of 5 eggsPhenominal

Pros: Quiet, min RPM is ~570 at 12V with PWM. No ticking or weirdness, just works. Dead silent, especially at idle. Keeps my 3570K @4.2GHz with CNPS10X extreme at <700RPM!!!

There's not much secret sauce in fans, if it's spinning fast it's loud. The non-pwm version is great too, but PWM lets you control case fans with the CPU temp.

Cons: Hard to find? Included screws aren't self-tapping so it's hard to screw them in the first time. A noise-reducing adapter could have been included, but with PWM on they're slow already.

Other Thoughts: A great blend of silence, performance, aesthetics, and value. Includes optional rubber mounts for super quick mounting. Cord is ~14", and all black. If I was decking out a case with 120mm or 140mm fans, Spectre Pros are a great, and cheap!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: this is an update. It has improved my over clocking by 7 - 3c. My 4670k doesn't go past the high 50s. Awesome fans!

Cons: none.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case fan

Pros: It's good case fans, but I don't think it's what I really needed. I don't know when the pc is on. The loudest thing in my pc is the psu. I bought three of these fans for my coolermaster hyper evo. I haven't overclocked, due to the I feel like I need a new psu. my psu is four years old. I believe I can do better overclocking with the way I have the fans.

Cons: No cons, other than it was kinda hard to screw in it to place.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat fan for my watering system!

Pros: Sturdy construction.
Relatively quiet operation.
High flow.

Cons: Loud when it is turned up, but not really a big con. Fans get loud when they push a lot of air.

Other Thoughts: Love Bitfenix.

5 out of 5 eggsBlowy

Pros: Near silent at idle. Seems to push a solid amount of air. 4 pin PWM cable is long enough that it can reach most headers without much issue. Looks pretty slick, too. No gaudy stickers or loud colors.

Cons: Has a very slight buzzing noise when it's laid horizontally. You have to put the thing next to your ear to hear it, but it's just enough for me to only want to use the thing standing up vertically.

Other Thoughts: The corners aren't open, so if you're using anything besides the standard self-tapping screws, like those rubber mounts, they need to be long. Not a problem for most people, so not really worth docking any points over, but it's probably still worth mentioning.

5 out of 5 eggsGood fan

Pros: Quiet fans with lots of airflow. PWM control.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: Installed 2 of those in my case, replacing dated fans of the same size running off 12V with no RPM control. The system is very quiet, although of course CPU/GPU coolers and motherboard RPM control have a role to play in this. Under load, the fans are moving lots of air and still remain really quiet. Really satisfied with the purchase.
