5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Works great with no problems. Purchased with the discount code and $25 rebate to make it $25.99 after rebate. Mailed rebate off and received notification today that my rebate has been processed and should receive in 5-7 weeks. Powers everything I need, and has been steady since I installed. Fan is nice and quiet.

Cons: Would be nice to have less cords that I did not need, since I installed in a small case. Had to be creative in finding a place for them so they wouldn't restrict airflow.
Also would be a better deal if it wouldn't take 2 months to receive a rebate, and process the rebate maybe with paypal instead of a AMEX Card.

Other Thoughts: Need to upgrade power supply for a video card upgrade.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great Review. We appreciate the positive feedback.

If you have any issues with the rebate, please contact us to let us know.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Alive and Well

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Price and 5 year limited warranty

Cons: None encountered

Other Thoughts: Needed a spare power supply and $25.99 after promo code and rebate...just couldn't pass it up. Reading the reviews it seems hit or miss on this one. Tested it out after it arrived well packaged. Shows 12.23v on 12v, 5.15v on 5v, 3.41 on 3.3v, and -11.91 on -12v with a light load. Very pleased.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for the great review, we appreciate the positive feedback.

1 out of 5 eggsNot to happy....

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: None

Cons: It showed up broken...set everything up and it did not run... unhooked everything took the PSU plugged it into the wall and flipped it on and Still nothing... it was just completely dead from the start... Do not recommend.......

Other Thoughts: none really, just really wanted to set all of my stuff up and play but no, broken.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Dark

We're sorry you are having issues with your PSU. simply plugging a PSU into the wall and flipping it on will not yield a response. You could try the paper clip test. Have you tried any other PSU'S?

Please contact us if you are still having issues

1 out of 5 eggsDOA!!!

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: none can't test it.

Cons: doesn't work

Other Thoughts: Well I learned a good lesson with this one, make sure it works before You run all the wires and make it pretty. I Spent hours setting up the my rig to hit power and nothing happened. So after some troubleshooting I finally swapped out the psu and boom power on. Very disappointing. I cannot recommend this product.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We're sorry you had issues with your PSU. This model has an on/off switch in the rear ( I / O ). Are you sure you remembered to turn the power button to the on or ( I ) position?

2 out of 5 eggstrips my home circuit braker

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: quiet.

Cons: there is probably something sparking inside if the power supply because 70% of the time, my rooms arc detection circuit breaker trips whenever i turn on the computer. its not a load issue. all i did was change the psu on my dell xps 8300.

Other Thoughts: wasted hours installing this. hopefully the rma procedure is easy.

Manufacturer Response:

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Works well for a paper weight.

Cons: The 12+ Rail and the +3.3v rails were swapped. Don't ask me how. My +12 was showing at +3.3 and vise versa.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We're sorry you are having issues with you 550W. What software are you using to monitor the rails? Perhaos the software is confused? are you having any issues with the PSU?

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and solid. So far, so good.

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Quiet and great replacement for my previous Antec PSU, which I unfortunately had to replace because the back power button broke off during a move.

Easy to install with plenty of wires and extras for my needs. The price was nice with the rebate, one of the bigger reasons I decided to buy.

Cons: Not modular but not a big deal as I'm not a big modder. Also, the housing covering the cords seems cheap, as one of the wrappings ripped and is frayed now, requiring a strap around it so the frayed ends don't end up in my giant CPU fan. Not a big deal as the cords are fine but these covers could be stronger and more resistant to pulling and bending.

Other Thoughts: Excellent PSU, but think about making a modular version of this with stronger, better quality wire covers.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We thank you for the great review, if you have any questions, please let us know.

Thank you.

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: all the right connectors. Seems like good power and good quality.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: owned for less than a month but does what is supposed to and seems like a good quality psu. Got this with a rebate, so cant beat the price.

Pros: N/A

Cons: It was dead on arrival.

Other Thoughts: I should have checked the reviews as this seems like a common problem. I requested a full refund and ordered a different psu.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

This review is from: XFX TS Series P1550SXXB9 550W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Bronze Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Seems well built. Lots of cables for devices.

Cons: Should have paid attention to the bad reviews here. Arrived DOA like many other, so I have no idea if it would work well or be quieter than previous power supplies.

Other Thoughts: This was for a new build and now I have to wait as I have no other compatible PS. Went to the site listed for troubleshooting in the manual, but I had to register and create a ticket. I could not find any documents or help there, what a joke.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello MisterB,

The PSU arrived DOA? thats really strange. DId you contact Newegg to get a replacement shipped right out?

Please contact us at neweggsupport@xfxforce.com if you, or anyone else for that matter, need assistance.

Thank you
