1 out of 5 eggsABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. STAY AWAY

Pros: Quiet.

Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE.

Cables are too short for a full case.

My first one failed after about 4 months of use. Had to pay shipping to RMA the unit.

Second one failed even sooner than the first unit. I asked the RMA department if they would be able to just refund my money and when they asked me for the first RMA# (which I didn't have), they said they couldn't locate the previous RMA information using my email address, name and address.

Other Thoughts: Stay away, seriously. You're better off just paying the $20 extra for a reliable PSU manufacturer than this garbage.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible on nearly all fronts

Pros: Price is about the only thing going for this product.

Cons: We ordered over 50 of these units back in November. By December we had already sent close to 10 of them back to Newegg for replacement. Fast forward a month and a half in and we now had to RMA nearly half of these units back to Newegg and coolmax and more are dying by the day. I suspect the issue is with the quality of the capacitors being used as our lab monitor has noted hearing a discernible crack just before the unit stops working. Considering it is a 900 watt power supply it should be able to handle the 700 watts that are being pulled easily but this does not seem to be the case.

Other Thoughts: Coolmax's RMAs process could be infinitely better. All are RMAs are processed via email and correspondence seems to be one email per day. If that wasn't enough it usually takes approximately 3 emails back and forth to get an RMA authorisation numberin order to send the product back. It has since been at least a week and a half since we sent the dead power supplies to coolmaxand have yet to receive replacementsor even an acknowledgement fat the broken ones have arrived. Beware

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I bought this after my last power supply blew out, and so far I've been VERY impressed.
The wires are all heavily insulated which is nice.
This thing provides more than enough power for upper mid range pcs. The boost in power has noticeably affected my gaming. The thing has really consistent power, so I'm getting very good framerates in my games that I simply didn't have before.
I've yet to try overclocking anything, but I will soon. This thing runs so cool I'm not worried. My old power supply could have been used as a space heater, this one seems to consistently blow out air at a little warmer than room temp.

Cons: The wires take up a lot of freaking space. And while most of the wires are modular, a few are not, and you likely won't need them, meaning they take up space in a small to mid sized case. One of the wires was so absurdly thick that I had to do some uncomfortably sharp bending with the sata cord just to get it into my hard drive. It's very cluttered in my case now, which worries me for fire hazard reasons, but because it runs so cool this will likely not end up being a problem.

Other Thoughts: Seems to be really good quality. They provide you with more modular cables than you'll need, which is always a nice thing. The design is very nice too.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet, Modular and Stuff!

Pros: Lots of power for my GTX 590.

Quiet, but not silent. I would have gone for a corsair silent psu, but I wanted the extra fan power to keep my older case cooler. (it only has 1x 80mm fan and 1x120mm fan ports)

Much quieter than a disk in my bluray drive.
However, on the side of the box, it says something about running at 92 dB, which frightened me, but so far hasn't been true. (and I really doubt it'd ever be true)

Carrying case for the modular cables.
Now I can take my cables on ski trips and anywhere else I might need and extra modular power cable.

Cons: 4+4 and 8 pin are not modular, so I have to hide the 4+4 pin.

Modular cables each have 3 SATA or 3 Molex connectors on them, which aren't all necessary.

Only 2x 4 pin PCI-E connectors. (probably not a big deal for most people)

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom 1100T
GTX 590
12gb RAM

Upgraded from a 550W coolmax cooler which wasn't powerful enough to run a GTX 590.

1 out of 5 eggsJUNK. dont gamble with this thing

Pros: NONE.
1st one failed in about 45 days..Corrupting my RAID as well. The RMA took so long I forgot about it and I was suprised when a package was delivered.

2nd one doing the exact same thing. Random freezing, raid errors, etc...

Cons: Put back the old 750 watt PSU (FOR A SECOND TIME) and everything is perfect, raid ok, no freezing etc..... The 750 watt was used to power BFL Singles and this PC before the 900 watt Coolmax.

Other Thoughts: STAY away from Coolmax if you need reliability. $30.00 for 2 trips to the slow RMA department. Fool me once shame on you Coolmax, fool me twice and I never use your hardware again and tell the world about your garbage hardware

The 750 watt was replaced because I was easily loading it to 650-700 watts on the UPS. The 900 watt PSU dropped the UPS wattage load by 10-15%, as expected, under the same load.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: It works! Was a quick and easy install. Not sure the deal with the little carry cases that power supplies come with these days, kinda silly. Fancy box too

Price played a big part in buying this vs something else

Cons: Not fully modular

Other Thoughts: My 600 watt couldn't keep up so I went with this 900. So far no regrets.

5 out of 5 eggsWow, modern PSUs are awesome!

Pros: I was completely surprised with the modular technology. Ive never seen it before and it is GENIUS! Dude, they send you a bag with a ton of different cables so you just have to run the ones you need. It has separate 'ports' for components that don't require extra power (drives) and ones that do require extra juice (GPUs). It is capable of powering two GPUs if needed.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The bag of cables is awesome. I feel like a real man with all these cables. This PSU should be able to stand on its two feet for awhile. With plenty of options for adding power to more peripherals I think this PSU will last a few computer upgrades. I'm not sure how long 900w will last me but for my use I assume I should be good for at least the next 5 years.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy for a power house.

Pros: This thing is a power house and for a great buy. Modular is a plus and I never have to worry about taxing this to the limit.

Cons: I cannot think of any after using it for a while.

Other Thoughts: I was skeptical at first because of the price and the overpowered 900W. Now after owning it for a while it became a great investment and due to previous RMA PSU from my build this product has earned my trust. I have bench-marked and Overclocked everything on my board to the max and it ran impressively.
