5 out of 5 eggsGreat beginner case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Altas ATX-295WU Blue / Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Has great features bottom mount psu case is nice and light color looks nice and my daughter likes it since she picked it out for her.

Cons: The exansion slot covers just pop out and you can replace it back and even though it being light is a pro the metal arount it feels like it might easily bend.

Other Thoughts: My daughter wanted to build a computer with me so she can play mine craft and figured for the 30 dollar price and I received it pretty much next day way to go Newegg I and she could not be happier with it.

Pros: I got this case on sale for $35. WHAT a steal. It is top quality, rugged, easy access to everything, fully upgradeable as far as adding liquid cooling later on. Plenty of room, and lots of options for cable mgmnt.

4 out of 5 eggswhats not to like

This review is from: RAIDMAX Altas ATX-295WU Blue / Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This is a very feature packed case for the price i got it at "$30". It has plenty of space for a mid level gaming build, and fan placement is decent to say the least . I purchased this as a budget built for my 9 year old, and he could not be happier with it. Visually its striking and stands out in the room.

Cons: The back plates are break out and not freely removable. Be prepared to add an expansion cover if you botch the job. Don't plan on putting in that extra long 290x or gtx 980 in this thing. The drive cage is fixed and runs the entire distance from the top of the case to the bottom. Be sure to measure before you buy a huge card. Other than that and the thin metal its a great case. Mind you this is not as thin as the $40 DIY case i bought several months ago from here. That was also a great case with plenty of fans, but the metal was so thin it dented on the top due to a toddler climbing on it. However i feel this case could survive that unscathed.

Other Thoughts: I'd buy this again and still may.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

This review is from: RAIDMAX Altas ATX-295WU Blue / Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Tool-less bays.
Light.
Good airflow potential.
Decent cable management.

Cons: Back plates ARE NOT replaceable so make sure that you know the PCI slots you're going to use.
Plastic parts are very plastic so be careful, especially trying to secure the tool-less bays.

Other Thoughts: If you're on a budget and like how it looks, then go get it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Altas ATX-295WU Blue / Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This was for a build for my son for Xmas. I got it all wired and work on the first try, no weird glitches or anything. It came with everything I needed an it is really sturdy, not cheaply built at all (for its price point). My son loves it and it was very easy to install the MOBO and Video card, a Galaxy 660ti with extended PCB), fit with room to spare.

Cons: The instructions for which case cable did what was useless. I am glad that I have assembled and disassembled many computers in my time, other wise the power + - could have been a pain, presumably; I am not new to pc builds so it was pretty clear to me. I looked at the instructions for like one minute and got all it had to offer, that's all I'm saying.

Other Thoughts: I love it, and my son loves it. for 65 bucks how can you go wrong? It is sturdy and tool-less, all you need o install anything is the case! Great gaming case, I just would not put more than 2 video cards in it if you are air cooling your CPU.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Case

This review is from: RAIDMAX Altas ATX-295WU Blue / Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I bought this case because it looks awesome!!! It looks like it would cost alot more than it does with the removable bay covers on the front (with dampening foam in them) and window on the side. It also has great air flow and plenty of spots for fans! The USB on the front is pretty nice too, and the power and reset buttons have a satisfying click to them. The pros definitely out weigh the cons for this case in my opinion.

Cons: Its obviously a budget case. The case could have been planned out more! There's a spot in the front of the case for 120mm fan, but its hard to get at. Besides that, the slots are not replaceable because you have to bend/break out the covers, and many things arent placed in an ideal spot. Its slightly flimsy and doesnt seem like the most solid. But, its still a budget case.

Other Thoughts: I have Blue Cathodes and a blue LED fan in this case, and it looks AMAZING! I love it!! I went back and forth on whether or not this was the case i wanted for my first PC build, but I couldnt be happier with it!... I gave it 5 eggs, because, yes, theres a handfull of flaws. BUT! Its not an expensive case. So for the price. You cant go wrong!!
