1 out of 5 eggsDying after < 1 yr. of use

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: The packaging and attention to detail with accessories, finish, etc. is great.

Cons: But about 11 months later, it's almost dead. No over clocking, no over loading, it's in a nicely cool NAS with an ITX motherboard and 6 hard drives with no video card. I checked and double checked my power requirements as 360 watts is relatively low for a PSU. An online calculator said I needed 280. I checked my components: 265. About 6 months of 24/7 run time, it started to lock up my system randomly. They became more frequent. 5 months later, my NAS won't boot. Swapped to another PSU, and everything's good. Tested the memory and all. Just a stinky, shiny, worthless PSU.

Other Thoughts: Good thing it has a 5 yr warranty: I want my money and peace of mind back.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsSolid after several years

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Been using this PSU in a home server build for several years. It reduced my servers idle power consumption from 65 to 40 watts without ANY other hardware changes (lower wattage + gold rating).

Cables plenty long for any system that only needs less than 400 watts.

Quiet fan and its a standard size making replacing it (if you feel like it) very easy.

Cons: No modular option for the 360 watt version.

Other Thoughts: This was my first seasonic purchase. I have been using their power supplies ever sense. Their reputation is so top notch that other top of the line brands use seasonic as an oem.

If you want a solid unit, go with a seasonic.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your nice comment and happy to see you like our G-360.
Have a nice day.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 8 months

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: It worked for 8 months

Cons: System started randomly restarting and then after a few days would not start at all.

Wasted $60.
Only lasted 8 months in a mini-ITX cube.

Other Thoughts: Asrock Mini ITX
4670k CPU
eVGA 750Ti
16gb (2x8gb) PC3-2133 G.Skill
Samsung 840EVO (RAID 1 mirrored)
It seems that there just are not any decent power supplies under $100 anymore. I replaced this one with another brand with a 10year warranty and double the price.
Goodbye Seasonic.....

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Thomas, sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you. I hope you have visited our website to start the RMA procedure. At the same time, you may want to also check your MB's VRM to make sure that is working properly as the symptoms you have described can be MB related as well. If you have questions or concerns, please write to: newegg@seasonicus.com Thank You.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and Efficient

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Excellent power supply, has been powering my A6-5400K based HTPC for over 2 years now with 100% up-time. The unit is extremely quiet and perfect for any small build not requiring heavy duty graphics power.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected, quiet and cool.

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: * Worked out of the box.
* Comes with mounting screws, zip ties and some velcro ties. A nice plus if you don't have behind-the-tray cable routing options in older cases.

Cons: A tad on the expensive side, but this system is going some place where power costs are higher than I'm used to. Every bit helps, I suppose. Also, the threads in the lower left mounting hole stripped rather easily compared to the other 3. But the two together add up to a lost egg.

Other Thoughts: This PSU doesn't offer an EPS12V 8 pin motherboard connector. I'm guessing that 400W is the barrier for that connector with Seasonic. (my 650W PSU's from 10 years ago both have them.) Just in case the lack of that connector escaped your notice on the spec sheet!

I sincerely hope it lasts as well as the aforementioned Seasonic PSU's I bought years ago. Been a great brand for me for a long time now.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Unit

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This PS is quiet and efficient. It works fine in my new I5-4690K / ASUS H-97M-E Haswell build.

Cons: It's not modular. But, I knew that going in.

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my 6 year old HEC Raptor 500 because I suspected that PS was the reason that my AMD 9600 / ASUS M3N78-EM box was not waking up from sleep mode. My suspicions were correct. I was pleasantly surprised by how much cooler and quieter this unit is. I did ultimately decide to build a new computer. But this allowed me to take my time. I did re-use this PS for the new box.

Other Thoughts: Like they say, you get what you pay for...Bought this PSU to replace a Cooler Master psu, much better, stable, and efficient Seasonic psu. Glad i spend the extra $$$ to purchase this power supply, Very happy with it.

3 out of 5 eggsLove Seasonic, but ...

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: Seasonic was first to emphasize efficiency. For this, I will forever put them first when looking for a PSU purchase.

Cons: Died in a lightly used NAS box after two years. RMA process, no reply after two days and will need to wait at least for two-way shipping. Bought a Rosewill today, will put the RMA returned Seasonic into another computer assuming I get it on the 5 year warranty.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Charles, Sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused you. I hope everything is now in process for your unit. As for warranty on the replacement unit, the length of time is the remaining time on the original G-360. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at newegg@seasonicus.com Thank You.

4 out of 5 eggsnon modular

This review is from: SeaSonic SSR-360GP 360W ATX12V v2.31 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: 80 Plus Gold
360W enough for any basic build with room
Seasonic

Cons: Its not modular. if you read the title, you know this. however i was originally considering the 550W version, but after some calculations, i realized that was more then enough. decided to save myself $20 and get the 360W, which is not modular, but I never noticed. It stinks because Modular was something i absolutely wanted, building a small M-ATX build, however, it wouldnt be worth it to pay the shipping to return it, AND pay the extra $20 for the 550W AND wait, since i need the PSU now lol.

Even the 450W is modular, I dont really understand why this model isnt. considering it would mostly be used in small builds, meaning small cases which done have room for cabled they dont need

Other Thoughts: as i said, just pay attention, its not Modular like all the others in this series. No complains about the Actual PSU, however I just built the computer today. Ill post back IF anything goes wrong, otherwise assume everything is all set as far as the PSU itself goes.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Ian, Sorry, I just saw your review.... Please note the G-360 is not modular is because modularity would add another 2cm to the depth of the case and we wanted this unit to have the smallest footprint possible. Thank you. If you have questions or concerns, please contact me at newegg@seasonicus.com Thank You
