1 out of 5 eggsExtremely disappointed

Pros: Plenty of programmable buttons

Cons: Horrible tracking

Other Thoughts: I have owned the Anywhere MX Darkfield mouse for my laptop for years and it performs flawlessly on any surface. I assumed that this one would too. WRONG This thing Stops, starts, and hesitates for no apparent reason on any surface I have tried - even a mousepad!. Darkfield is supposed to be the best and it is on my laptop mouse but this model is a disaster. Frustrating beyond compare to not be able to mouse smoothly. Shame on you Logitech for messing this up so badly and charging so much to have the privilege of being frustrated.

4 out of 5 eggsNot as good as G700S

Pros: Lots of customizable buttons
Ergonomics
Fast spin or traditional click mouse wheel.
Large glide pads.

Cons: Price, and simply not as good as the Logitech G700S. The G700S has all of the features of the MX and some extras. The main advantage has to be the logitech gaming software over the setpoint software. The LGS software allows you to create more complex macros specific to each application. The G700S cost less has on the fly DPI adjustment, left right scroll wheel, and a few more buttons. Having owned both I can say that G700S is definitely the better product. Don't let its gaming marketing deter you.

Other Thoughts: Save your money get the G700S the best mouse ever created.

5 out of 5 eggsI hope they never discontinue this mouse

Pros: I've had 4 of these mice (total) at home and at work over many many years. I love it. The only problem is it sometimes drops off of my keyboard tray one too many times and then I have to buy a new one (completely my own fault nothing bad with the mouse). I hope they never discontinue production of this mouse. It's the best mouse I've ever used.

1 out of 5 eggsDarkfield should be "DarkFail"

Pros: Nice ergonomics. Metal scroll wheel is nice, but not as nice as previous generation of this mouse, and it feels a bit too narrow.

Cons: Where to begin. First, on OSX, the software is just bad. The universal software won't recognize or pair with the device, though the mouse works just fine.

YOU MUST HAVE THE WIRELESS RECEIVER PLUGGED IN FOR THIS MOUSE TO FUNCTION WHEN USING USB. That is just amateur hour. I cannot believe they made a mouse that can be plugged in that still requires the wireless receiver.

The tracking on this mouse is just terrible on dark surfaces. Whatever they have done to make it "work" on glass has completely trashed its performance on other things. I have a Razer Manitcor aluminum mouse pad, and it is barely useable on it. Even with a full battery, I have to plug the mouse in to USB to get it to track on this surface at all. Even plugged in to USB, the mouse skips, jumps, and sometimes flat out won't move. With multiple 4k screens, it's just awful. If I switch to just using it on my desk, which is dark wood, it's a bit better, but the tracking is still horrible, exhibiting the same skips and jumps. If I switch to using a piece of paper, or the top of a Mac Book Pro, it works perfectly.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to like this mouse. I got a great deal on it new at B&H, and really enjoyed the previous generation. This one is going in the guest room.

1 out of 5 eggs3 months longevity

Pros: It functioned well for 2 months, good accuracy, precise. I bought this model hoping for a suitable replacement for the discontinued MX Revolution but it is not.

Cons: Bought three months ago and it no longer charges. The battery is fine but the charging cable is very poorly designed and contacts already fail even after cleaning. My other major complaint about it's function is the scroll wheel. MX Revolution gave the option of metered or free spinning scroll wheel. Free spin is no longer an option.

Other Thoughts: Flawed design, extremely overpriced for the quality.

1 out of 5 eggsbattery drains in 1 day

Pros: it's a mouse

Cons: * Battery drains after one day's use so I have to tether it constantly. Not acceptable for a wireless mouse. Logitech quality is slipping. After many years of being a customer I think this is the last Logitech product I buy. Tried an alkaline battery and lasts about 4 days.

* left/right scroll wheel function feels soft and unresponsive

Other Thoughts: epic fail

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mouse

Pros: I purchased this mouse in 2011 and it still preforms as new. I am still using the battery that came with the mouse and it holds a charge for about a month.

1 out of 5 eggsDisgusted with Logitech

Pros: As a paperweight with a $99.99 MSRP sticker, it makes an interesting conversational piece. It's all i can say since Logitech doesn't stand by their product & will just string customer along

Cons: Rechargeable battery drains in less than 2 days whether it was in use or not. Logitech quality has been steadily declining the past couple of years but didn't realize customer satisfaction had been ditched completely

Other Thoughts: Bought it for friend just back from Afghanistan but it's defective. Logitech Support was slow to respond to emails and made it clear from the beginning that they had no interest in helping resolve this known issue with their product.

Friend is now happy using a $15 Gear Head mouse that he says seems to be better quality

5 out of 5 eggsA PRECISION INSTRUMENT

Pros: This Mouse Rocks! Yes, its a bit pricey but like all things in life you get what you pay for. Sometimes you just have to spoil your self and say what they heck, a Benjamin for peace of mind is worth it considering that most people use a mouse every day and never think about what it would be like to experience luxury computing with precision clicking. If you are a graphics designer professional then this mouse is for you because you can customize the software to do what ever you want it to do, plus its great for gaming, the battery can be replaced if and when it can no longer hold a charge from the USB cable and what I love most about this mouse is the look and feel. Logitech is a great company, every product I have every purchased from them has always impressed me. This product was so well designed that I actually hated it at first because I did not understand how to operate it correctly and that was my fault, its a mouse that is designed not to be moved much, so less energy, less movements, less stress, less fatigue on your overall computing experience. Once you switch from an average mouse to a precision mouse everything else just sucks. You will never ever want to go back and over the course of time your hand will begin to mold into this perfectly sculpted masterpiece. Once you learn how to hold it and move it correctly you will fall in love just as I have learned how to operate it correctly. Initially I was very disappointed, but that's because I had the wrong expectations of what I thought it was, how it should operate and how it should feel. If and when you purchase this product you will begin to appreciate its architecture and in life everything comes down to structure! Well worth the Ferrari Sports Car Precision Instrument Gear Shifting Performance Price!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: It takes some time getting use to, but once you get the hang of it the previous mouse you used to have will start to feel awkward and before you realize it, what used to feel normal and comfortable will feel different and that's what happened to me out of the box I did not understand that this mouse was hand crafted as a a precision instrument designed to be operated with the least amount of energy for the most amount of effectiveness. Thus its a learning curve, so keep using it and practice with it every day, in about a week or month you will ask yourself, gosh how did I every get along with out because everything else sucks and this mouse rocks. I used to hate it because it felt different but now I love it! When you start to measure millimeters you start to appreciate this mouse because everything is so close together that it either feels terrible after you unbox at first, yet give this one some time to get used to and it will fit you like a glove!

1 out of 5 eggsFor a 100 dollar mouse it should last longer

Pros: Compared to most wireless mice at the time of release, best battery life.

Cons: Double clicking issue. Skips in gaming.

Warranty expired. With a high end mouse it should be at least 5 years.

Other Thoughts: Logitech as a company aren't what they used to be.
