4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Good ventilation
Lots of room, although my Strix GTX 970 barely fit in there without modifications.
Fits a Cooler Master 212X CPU Cooler just fine.
Almost no tools required

Cons: Only one fan

Other Thoughts: I used this case for my first Intel PC build, and couldn't be happier with it. For the price, I'm extremely satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT product!

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Great price! Everything I wanted!
-4 Total USB Ports(1 USB 3.0 even!)
-MANY tool-free options
-Functionality as well as simple design looks
-Case wires not attached to front cover-some computers I build do and it makes life difficult when installing front fans and you already did cable management.
-The 4 5.25" external drive bays allow me to have everything I want. DVD-ROM, Fan Controller, and a hot swap bay, and I still have one left over for future use!(Thinking about getting one of the drawer things for storing headphones, phone chargers, etc.)
-Removable Hard drive enclosure is useful if you want a larger graphics card, or if you just want to free up airflow.
-GREAT AIRFLOW-Don't really need many fans. I have 2-One that came with and one that came with one of my customers computers (He wanted LED fans) and I really don't need anymore (I probably don't need a fan controller, but what the heck, right?). However if your crazy about a cool computer you can put all SEVEN (That's a lot) fans in...

Cons: -Wish there was blue or green. Would have been SUPER happy if it had more colors (Red is very common for custom builds and white just looks too boring).
-I feel like I am going to break the case every time I open the front-Not hard, just a little nerve-racking.

Other Thoughts: -Still trying to find something useful to go into the 3.5" external slot

3 out of 5 eggsA good budget case, but you get what you pay for.

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: -Low price makes it easier on your budget
-Large side window lets you show off your rig
-Plenty of fan mounting options, allowing for many configurations
-Subtle, pleasing aesthetics. The matte black with red mesh make for a good combo with any RoG themed builds.

Cons: -Sub-par cable management; there just isn't enough room between the motherboard tray and the side panel to efficiently route cables, making the side-panel window an embarrassment if there are too many cables to contend with.
-The PCI slots in the rear are one-time use; they're held on by breakaway metal tabs, and once removed, they can't be replaced.
-The fan mounting options, while plentiful, are poorly placed. The top allows for two 140mm fans, but when the fans are mounted inside, the very top 5.25" can't be used as the fans get in the way of any optical drive. If fans are mounted to the plastic window, they tend to whine and make a ton of unnecessary noise. The front case fan mount is covered by the bottom 3.5" HDD cage, which is non-removable, and you simply can't get a screwdriver in to mount the fan to the front, completely negating one of the fan mounts, unless you use zip-ties.
-4 Front-Panel USB ports, but three separate cables. USB 3.0 supports two ports with one cable, but only one 3.0 port is installed, the other three are 2.0, but require two more separate cables, making the already sub-par cable management worse.
-If you have a long graphics card, you're losing out on another optical drive bay, as the graphics card will get in the way of anything you'd want to mount in the lowest bay.
-With all the fan mounting options, only one dust filter is included, and it's for the PSU.
-Possibly the brightest blue LED I've ever seen for the power indicator. Fortunately, it's easy to remove, and I quickly replaced it with a red LED to complement the rest of the build.

Other Thoughts: This is a decent case for a budget build, or if you simply don't want to spend a great amount of money on a case, or if you're not worried about internal looks and cable management.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case.....

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Seems to be a nice case, I have not yet received the rest of my build. I actually expected to receive this last but I got it first, so the shipping only took two days and I used standard 4-7 day shipping. From what I can tell, this is going to be a pretty pain-free build with the mostly tool-less design (Should only need a screwdriver for motherboard, Power supply and extra fans). Case looks to have lots of versatility for almost any build.

Cons: The only problem I can see is there are suppose to be rubber pads on the bottom of the inside of the case for the power supply to sit on, I would guess there should be 4 (one for each corner of PS) however I only have 3, hopeing it won't be a big deal on my build as I am going to try to make it work.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks awesome... very worth your money. Comparable to something that costs three times what this did.

Update: I recently bought another case, and one of the rivets was rolling around in the case when I opened it.

Cons: Update: I recently bought another case, and one of the rivets was rolling around in the case when I opened it. Couldn't find out where it went, so not gunna change the eggs as the case is still pretty epic. I will however deduct one egg because the new one I got has a nice deep scratch on the top, and the box was poorly taped when I received the package, so much so I thought my roommate had opened it already and left it open.

Other Thoughts: One of the things to consider, when doing cable management the CPU power cable that goes from the power supply HAS to be put in before the motherboard. It won't fit through the hole otherwise, just trying to save somebody a lot of hassle so they don't have to unscrew the motherboard if you put the power supply in last like I do to get perfect cable management. The cable management of this case is pretty good otherwise, if I could change one thing I would give it another 4mm of clearance to hide more cables in the back, but otherwise it is awesome for the price. Definitely will get more in the future. Plexiglas side shows off your brand new system, recommend lighted LED fans to further plmp it out.

5 out of 5 eggsNo fans needed

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Tons of cooling
Excellent USB 2.0/30 front panel placement
Tool-less
Bottom-mounted PSU location
PSU-intake filters

Cons: Stupid name.. "OSTROG" ?!?!
The top is almost completely open - be careful of spilling something on the case - component damage will ensue.

Other Thoughts: This case is pretty slick. Tons of passive cooling. It comes packaged with a fan or two (pre-installed,) and that's honestly all you'll need. The top of the case is almost completely open, allowing the hot air to escape. No fans needed to blow hot air out the back when it can simply rise up and out! Also, the bottom of the case has filter-screens for the PSU - another nice feature.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case For The Price

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is well made, lightweight, has plenty of room for case fans, and water cooling capability. I enjoy the USB 3.0, and audio plugs in front. The red trim looks nice. For the back of the motherboard under the CPU the case has a nice cutout to improve CPU cooling. The 120mm fan included is nice.

Cons: No SSD mounting but they are easy to stick anywhere without a designated spot. The case only has 1 filter for under the Power Supply.

Other Thoughts: The front 120mm fan location has the best filtering so that is the only intake fan I am running. I'm using 3x80mm fans on the top, another 80mm on the bottom near the Power Supply, and the 120mm rear fan all for exhaust. My hope is this setup will keep the computer cool and the case free of dust.

3 out of 5 eggsNice case; power button broke after 3 months of normal daily use.

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Well constructed, good thick metal.
Nice side panel.
Front fan options are good, removable drive cage is great.

Cons: You get what you pay for, and with this case using all good metal, the plastic holding the buttons and whatnot is cheap and brittle. The plastic holding the power button broke.
Top interface kinda sucks.

Other Thoughts: I would get it again at this price point, maybe for myself or somebody local. This was a customer's build I did and shipped out, it's very annoying trying to troubleshoot "my computer won't turn on" and trying to explain how to take off the front panel to try and fix the power button. Sigh.

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It does it's job and it does it well. plenty of places to tuck your wires.

Cons: The big huge enermax logo up top makes it looks kind of tacky.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case for the price!

This review is from: ENERMAX OSTROG ECA3253-BR Black/Red SGCC / SECC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Lots of extra space on the inside for installation of ATX boards and plenty of tool free options for all your optical and storage drives. Lots of available fan options and plenty of room for AIO and custom water cooling.

Cons: None so far.
