Trackball comfort
Your trackball stays in one place, so you don't have to move your arm to move your cursor. Its sculpted shape supports your hand to let you work all day in comfort.

Compact footprint
Because the trackball doesn't move, it's perfect for tight workspaces and busy desks.

Time-tested shape
Millions of people have loved the Logitech Trackman Wheel. We've refined its proven shape to create the M570.

Logitech Advanced 2.4 GHz wireless
You get the reliability of a cord with cordless convenience and freedom—fast data transmission and virtually no delays or dropouts.

Wireless freedom
The robust wireless connection lets you control your laptop, desktop computer of home theater PC from up to 30 feet (10 meters) away.

Tiny, wireless receiver
It's so small it can stay plugged in a USB port. You don't have to unplug it when you move around or worry about losing it. And your trackball is always ready to use.

Logitech Unifying technology
Easily connect up to six compatible wireless devices—keyboards, number pads or mice—without the hassle of multiple receivers filling up your USB ports.

Storable receiver
If you do need to remove the tiny receiver, just tuck it away right next to the battery.

18-month battery life
The long battery life virtually eliminates the hassle of changing batteries. The On/Off button saves power, while an indicator light helps you avoid surprises.

Work—and play—anywhere
You get precise cursor control wherever you want to use your trackball. Hard tables, comfy sofas and lumpy beds are all no problem for the M570.

Adjustable speed
The M570 now sports an adjustable laser sensor, giving you a wider range of cursor speeds—and the perfect amount of control.

Scroll wheel
You can easily move up and down through Web pages and long documents.

Programmable buttons
You can customize your trackball's buttons to help you do what you want faster.

5 out of 5 eggsIt deserves to be cast in a Joss Whedon movie.

Pros: I'm a gamer, I want to say that first, so you understand that response time to me is critical, and that's why I kept my corded trackman wheel forever. This one was the "eventually I'll have to.." that stayed in storage until my much beloved, corded trackball finally had to be euthanized.

I'm a gamer, response time, and sensitivity are critical.

The little number is a star performer, I expect to see it with Malcolm Reynolds, or Steve Rogers some day. Ok, serious time: I think between buying one in April of 2011, and writing this review in July of 2014, I've had to replace the battery about 8 times. I won't pretend to give you an hour count. Suffice to say the "expected battery life" listed is a pretty "Durned" conservative guess.

As you can probably guess, I've put it through its paces, and I'm confident it holds up.. not only to use, but to abuse as well.

I wasn't a fan of wireless, I have been in groups where someone went "AFK, need to change my battery" and was gone for 3 minutes, and frankly, I dreaded the day I had to bust this rodent out and use it.

I had no idea it was "Blanking" Mighty Mouse tripping on horse testosterone.

Cons: There is one con inherent with the design of trackballs: Contact points. They point up. Wash your hands before use, or clean the contact points about once a day for maintained sensitivity.

Your mileage may vary.

Other Thoughts: Care and Maintenance:

Flip it upside down.
Give it a tap against your hand, so as to catch the ball in your palm.
Put fingernail into the Bottom of the U curve, and flick(Away from laser eye).
Repeat twice for the other two contact points.

Provided you can operate a screwdriver(And I'm not talking the sonic kind), its remarkably simple.

5 out of 5 eggsM570

Pros: Like the track ball and it works like a mouse should

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: My previous Logitech mouse had the same issues with double clicking as some reviews for this one. That one lasted me about 3 years and that is good considering how much I used it.

4 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: More responsive than Logitech's older version. Way longer battery life. Comfortable, easy to use. Buying a second one, after my first one met an untimely death.

Cons: Wireless receiver only works a short distance. Not water proof (not the companies fault, shouldn't have a full glass of water near my laptop anyways).

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Trackball Mouse

Pros: I love this mouse these are basically the only kind I can use to feel productive. I don't have to have my desk completely clean and a 5 foot area to move my hand around. I can simply keep it in one spot and use my thumb to move around on my computer.

Cons: I wish it came in a bigger size, its a little small for my hands.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Thumb mouse

Pros: We have between 50 - 100 of these company wide and have only had one go bad (probably due to abuse more than hardware failure). The battery life and range is great!

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to pull the marble out every once in a while and clean it.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this trackball.

Pros: Faster and better than my old Microsoft one, because it is 15 years old. It's time to retire that old one. It fits my big hands the best.

Cons: Size, almost not big enough for my hands. Wish it was a little bigger. Not worth removing an egg for. FYI I find all mice too small and most trackball mice too for that matter.

Other Thoughts: Didn't buy from new egg. Found it for about $10 less somewhere else.

4 out of 5 eggsM570 TB

Pros: Hard to get used to after using the incredible mx revolution mouse. I bought this due to wrist issues. The thing I dont like about this arent enough to warrant any negative ratings. However, compared to a $107 mouse like the revolution, one would feel this is 'cheap.' I do wish there were more to it, the scroll wheel feels like it comes from a $5 usb mouse.

I own two of these, I use the unifying receiver for both one of these and the solar keyboard for work because the Logitech got it right. Link the devices and be done. This mouse is extremely comfortable. Again, difficult to get used to especially if your thumb movements are feeble. I constantly clicked the right mouse button while getting used to this. After a year and a half, the only problem I have is my back button is no longer springy. Easy to clean, good software. Just wish there was more to it, different colors would be nice as it isnt very sleek looking by contrast of other devices Logitech debuts.

Cons: Coming from using a wonderful mouse, this will feel very cheap. It will be difficult to get used to but this is by far the most natural feeling device for a right handed mouse user. I can rest my hand on it and its second nature controlling it it is so comfortable I hardly notice its there. If you are experiencing wrist pains and discomfort, switch to this as it will be the most natural transition from a basic mouse. Albeit, the thumb is not always as dexterous and accurate as other fingers, give it time and this baby will alleviate any discomfort.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure what is keeping these beyond the $50 price bracket, its a great device but there's only 4 moving parts. I feel like this should be $30 especially for a Logitech loyalist. Maybe some lefties would like a thumb driven trackball?
