3 out of 5 eggsLouder than I expected

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Great air flow and has great static pressure

Cons: It was noticeably loud, almost like a high pitch humming. It was very distracting and had to take it out. Unless you have a fan controller to lower the RPMs, I wouldn't buy this product.

Other Thoughts: Hope this helps!!

4 out of 5 eggsNice fans. Great color

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Whisper quiet at low RPMs, price, nice "sickle" blade design that will move lots of air, very nice deep green LED glow. Really like the smoke tinted plastic as well.

Cons: Can be a bit loud at max RPMs, cables are not very long and are not black for those mounting on a window, too early to tell but might have longevity issues. I do have one making a little bit of a grinding noise every now and then. Sounds like its coming from the bearings. I will monitor it to see if it continues.

Other Thoughts: I bought 6 of these to put in a Corsair carbide 300r widowed case, all hooked up to a NZXT SEN-MIX2 fan controller. They look really mean!! On low settings they are super quiet while still moving tons of air throughout the case. On high settings, they will let you know they are working, but that is overkill in most situations for my setup. Even while gaming, i only crank 4 of 6 them halfway and they provide more than enough air flow for nice temps. As stated by others, I did find that the fans I have that are mounted (intake) behind mesh are in-fact quieter than those mounted (intake) behind plexiglass with holes drilled for airflow. But that's just an observation listening up close (less than a foot away). Doesn't bother me at all and more than a few feet away can't tell at all really. I do wish that the cables were black for hiding them easier. I do recommend these fans especially with a fan controller.

4 out of 5 eggsGreen is good

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Moves a TON of air, cheap for not being blue or red, dig the smoked grey look of the plastic, looks 30 times better than glossy black.

Cons: Louder than expected

Other Thoughts: I got this for a silverstone sugo series front fan. This thing friggen MOVES some air. My cpu fan barely spins up during gaming and temps stay below 30c cause this thing is a beast, unfortunately my cpu fan is quieter at full speed than this one lol. As others had mentioned i think the fact that the fan has some obstruction in front of it (fan filter and grille) makes it a lot louder. I plugged it in before installation to make sure it worked and it was not as loud as when installed. I have another 120mm slim fan that has a higher db rating but is much quieter than this one. Other than that observation this is a solid fan for airflow, i wouldn't put this on a radiator or anything though

5 out of 5 eggsNice, Cheap, Green LED Fan

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: - Good amount of Airflow
- Nice Deep Green LED
- Quiet

Cons: - None

Other Thoughts: I was surprised with how decent this fan actually is. The fan moves a good amount of air, and is quiet under most conditions. I did notice however, that when restricted, like in the front of a case, the fans do get noticeably louder. My only concern with this fan is going to be longevity. I have had it running 24/7 for about two months now without any issues, but I fear it won't last as long as a more expensive fan would.

4 out of 5 eggsDoes the Job

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Works as advertised (other than "Silent"), and the LED's are perfect not too bright and and look stunning in my case without lighting up my room

Cons: Marketing these as "Silent" should really not be (a)loud, 19 dBA is not 0 dBA, so its not silent. Granted if anyone really thinks a 2k RPM fan is going to be silent think again. The fans themselves may be silent, the airflow sure isn't. if you want a silent fan get a lower RPM fan. Also turning the fans down using my fan controller on my case creates a slight whine which is far more annoying than the fans at full blast

Other Thoughts: Good if you don't mind the little amount of noise.

5 out of 5 eggsFixed a regular problem

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Not overly loud, stylish if you're going for presentation, works effectively

Cons: n/a

Other Thoughts: I put two of these on the side to replace the original fan in my machine. Running my machine for a few days straight, no overheating issues have been occurring. Definitely a start to some renovations.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for specific uses

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Attractive blades, can be quiet and effective.

Cons: Can be loud, too.

Other considerations: short wires (Though could be good which is good because the clear colored sheathing only appeals to those with peculiar aesthetics). Use rebate money to buy an attractive extension.

Other Thoughts: As someone downstream snarkily but correctly noted, using this as intake instead of exhaust can make a big difference, as it did in my C70 case. Originally had a pair of them acting as exhaust above the CPU -- quiet and good temps. Got it in my head that I wanted the green lights in the front of the case, acting as intake. Bad idea: it ROARS as an intake, even at 1000 RPM. Perhaps removing the screen would remedy that, but I'm not interested in finding out. Currently using one as a rear exhaust, but will probably return to original of 2 sickles above CPU.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Fan

This review is from: Cooler Master SickleFlow 120 - Sleeve Bearing 120mm Green LED Silent Fan for Computer Cases, CPU Coolers, and Radiators

Pros: Love the color and silence of these fans.

Cons: You will have to replace at least one of them yearly (I have 8 fans total)
