5 out of 5 eggsPlug n Play

Pros: Cost 60 bucks for it with 3 day shipping!
Fast!
Boot times dropped
Load time dropped
7.9 on Windows Experience test

Cons: Doesnt come with a sata cable. It is faster than a magnetic drive but not quite as other solid states for the price this is a must have for 60 bucks.

Other Thoughts: If you can get it for 60-65 just get one if you don't already have one.

5 out of 5 eggsSSD + Android = Awsome

Pros: Put this SSD on my X61 and I am running android. Is awesome, fast and I don't have to worry about bumping it and destroying a traditional HDD. Only moving part is the fan, now to do something about that.

Cons: A traditional HDD uses less than 1 amp to work.
On the SSD it says 1.6 amps, so your battery life might not be that good if you use this in a laptop. but for the price still good product.

Other Thoughts: Its like a use drive but better.

4 out of 5 eggs$60 Gem

Pros: For the $60 sale price, hard to go wrong (unless you get a dud, and even then it's probably still worth it including the RMA).

Cons: Toolkit software thinks I need a firmware upgrade, even though it shipped with the latest.

SanDisk support is a bit lacking: Some of the primary online documents are out of date, and don't always provide written instructions (if you can make a professional how-to video, you can write a few lines of English which make text searches easier). Made it rather frustrating trying to figure out the firmware situation, especially since the firmware update requires a reboot to their custom bootdisk (made by the toolkit), only to go "ERROR" with no explanation or code, and they don't use a standard version number scheme.

Drive is all-plastic construction, which feels rather flimsy. A bit disconcerting when it bends during installation into a 2.5" aluminum mount.

Other Thoughts: Using as a games drive. Beats the tar out of my RAID-1 Seagates Barracudas.

Packaging isn't sealed, you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between a fresh one and an open-box. - no tear-open static-proof bag for this drive.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Value King

Pros: I spent quite a bit of time hunting for a deal on a 128GB SSD to use as a boot drive in my HTPC - nothing special needed, but I knew an SSD would be a huge improvement over the 1TB Green that I've been booting from for the last few years. At the current price, this just can't be beaten.

Sure enough, the performance of this drive - the snappiness, the speed of installation and loading of programs - is very, very noticeable when coming from a platter drive.

The point of this SSD is that it *is* an SSD - It's not the latest and greatest, but for the money, you won't find more performance for dollar from a storage device. If you are still using a platter drive and you have sufficient money to buy this drive in your bank account, then I can't fathom why you haven't bought it yet.

Cons: As mentioned previously, this is not the fastest SSD in the bunch. However, for that incremental increase in read and write speeds, you may easily pay double the price of this drive.

Reliability has yet to be seen on these drives - Solid state is inherently pretty reliable, so I have no particular worry here. I perform regular backups of my important information, as everyone should, and this SSD resides in my HTPC anyway - I'll happily re-install Windows and download VLC again if need be.

Other Thoughts: The SSD is like a drug. Once you use a computer that boots from one, everything else is archaic. SSD speed becomes normal, and everything else slow. This is, however, one drug that I advocate for - the only downside is the expense of the technology, and that is why I'm glad this drive exists - SSD performance is now attainable by the masses.

1 out of 5 eggsSanDisk Ultra Plus SSD (Not so good)

Pros: So far the only pro I can put on here about this drive is it is light as a feather.

Cons: So light that maybe the insides where not even there??? The drive would not respond at all, Nothing showing up in windows. I tried it on two computers and even in a hot swap bay but I couldn't get the drive to appear.

Other Thoughts: RMA it, Already in the mail on it's way back to NEWEGG. Hope they can get this processed quickly so I can get the replacement back and into my system. I need the extra storage. My first SSD is a Samsung 840 Pro, No issues at all with that brand.

5 out of 5 eggsIf the price holds up...

Pros: I paid $54 for this drive & that translates into a good 64GB USB flash drive. It's a great boot drive at 128 GB as you're not going to want to write much onto that drive as often; however, you've got plenty of room for several more games and so on.

I'm always amazed when I look at an SSD and my old mountain of HDDs. I'm probably going to get a few more and setup one specifically for all of my Bethesda/ Elder Scrolls/ Skyrim games.

Cons: Absolutely nothing at all.

Maybe that the "PUBLISHER" of Titanfall didn't opt to just sell/ distribute the game on this drive as opposed to the 50 GB downloads.

1 out of 5 eggsFlimsy Connector

Pros: Good drive, good speed, low price

Cons: Flimsy connectors - both the power connector and SATA connectors broke off during my first attempt in connecting the drive. I have been building several thousand of computers during the last 25 years (it's my main job) and I have never broken off a connector before; so, it's definitely not me. My advice, be extra careful with these connectors because they are very flimsy.

Other Thoughts: I used electrical tape to tape the pins to the cable for both power and SATA and it worked. Thank goodness because I really didn't want to ship it back for exchange, considering how expensive shipping costs these days.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great.

Pros: 1.) Light.
2.) Cool to the touch.
3.) Fast.
4. Easy plug n play installation.

Cons: 1.) Nothing.

Other Thoughts: I upgraded the HDD in my 2006 intel Imac using this SSD drive. I cloned the existing hard drive, swapped them out and the computer is much snappier - boots up faster, apps open much quicker etc. The drive has functioned flawlessly to date, boosting performance.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little SSD!

Pros: Fast and inexpensive

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It does exactly as it says. Some reviewers are commenting on what doesn't come with it, but if you read the description, it tells you exactly what you will get - an SSD and nothing else (that's why it is so cheap!)

I cloned my PC's drive with Acronis True Image, removed the old drive and was back up and running in less than an hour. My Win7 x64 boot time went from around 4 minutes to less than one. No more waiting once the desktop appears for everything to settle down.

I can't say what this would be like in a high end system, but for my old Triple Core Phenom, it made a huge difference.
