Pros: - Very strong bulb, love the focus option - 3 modes, the sos not really necessary but 50% power is great if you aren't looking to waste battery life and just need to see. -good battery life! Cons: after a lot of usage the twisting head gets loose and the flashlight has trouble turning on. the reason I give it 3 stars: if you do not replace battery BEFORE they die or leave this in your car the batteries swell up and get stuck inside the flashlight meaning this thing is useless to me now. THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH THE "AA" and "AAA" mini maglight. Other Thoughts: After this thing died on me a few months later I was driving and noticed a light coming from the road. I got out being nosey and found a Streamlight Stylus Pro. It was raining hard that day, someone must have been in a hurry and dropped it. THEIR LOSS. Best small profile flashlight I have ever owned. Same price, no cons. Great click top button for easy use. sturdy metal clip to keep in pocket. I deliver pizzas and this thing is a DERP SEND in bad neighborhoods. Did you find this review helpful? Rebecca V. 3/18/2011 10:09:25 AM Ownership: 4/5	Rating: 5/5One of my favorite flashlights This review is from: Mag Instrument 2 "AA" LED Mini Maglite. Pros: Nice bright white. You'll surprised when you see how tiny the LED is. All battery drainage problems have been addressed, this is the new 2nd generation LED Mini Mag. Believe it or not, this light actually has some cool features. It has four light settings, high, low (25%), strobe, and S.O.S. that you select in sequence by twisting it off and on quickly enough. It also has something called "candle mode" where you screw off the top, and place it around the bottom making a base, and the light output is very broad, kind of like a candle. All metal construction is definitely a plus. Cons: Its an LED flashlight, as the batteries go down the voltage drops and it gets dimmer. On the other hand, its still perfectly usable until the last hour or so of battery life when it starts flickering (about 35 hours on high by my guess). Other Thoughts: I was pretty much raised on Maglites. I've owned everything from the 1 AAA solitaire to a 5 D monster. There are definitely better out there, Surefire comes to mind, but for the price Maglite is a really affordable company. I have three of these, one in my car, one by my bed, and one for hiking.
