Pros: I wanted a set of headphones that would be good for travel (small, sturdy, blocks out ambient noise), but would still have a good response over a wide range of frequencies (because I'm a bit of an audiophile) and would still be fairly inexpensive. No pair of headphones does all that perfectly, but I think this one strikes a pretty good balance.

The headphones aren't exactly small, but the ear covers do fold into the space under the headband for storage, which makes them reasonably compact. The construction seems sturdy enough that I can put them in the included leather bag and not worry about the headphones being damaged. And they do an amazing job of blocking out ambient noise at the level of a crowd of people having conversations, or reducing the sound of airplane engines to the point where you don't notice it anymore.

Meanwhile, the audio quality seems good over a wide range of frequencies. Bass is not overly strong, but definitely present, which may be at the perfect level depending on your preferences.

And of course, the price is definitely on the low end for serious headphones. I definitely feel like I'm getting at least as much as I'm paying for with these.

Cons: There's no physical volume control on the headphones themselves. I don't consider this a big enough deal to lower the rating, but it would definitely be useful if there were one.

The included cord is a little long when trying to manage it in an airplane seat, but again this is not a big deal. If you're not using these in a cramped space, this is a non-issue, and in fact it's probably better to have the extra cord length in that case.

Pros: All my production equipment for the most part is Sony and the MDR-7506 is proof of why this is the case. Great spread of sound. The dynamic headphones are lightweight and project a strong balanced sound. They also came in a fun gift box that only proves how Sony goes above and beyond to make a product us users not only want or need but love.

Pros: The absolutely best 100 bucks I've ever spent on a set of headphones.
Everything from the way they sound to the way they fit is perfect. For myself, anyway.
Of course, YMMV.
Distinct highs and a very good bass.
They're even better with a discrete sound card.

Cons: I had not heard of them earlier.
They do get to being a little hot after a couple of hours, but that's okay. You need a break after a couple of hours anyway.

Other Thoughts: They fold up rather nicely and fit just right in the included plastic storage bag.
The cord is the right length for me and the headset feels quite sturdy.
I'd recommend these for anybody that likes music.
They also work flawlessly with a Corsair Speaker breakout box.
For the price, I doubt that you'll find anything that comes close to the performance.
