2 out of 5 eggsDead after 2 years

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: The "kit" was good at the time but now they all come with adapters so no big deal anymore.

Cons: Purchased June 2013 and just died on me today not quite making it two years.

Other Thoughts: Using this in a Galaxy S5 and started seeing issues today with with the "Gallery" app having trouble displaying images on the phone. A little later the phone stopped seeing the SD card and the computer wont read it at all. Lifetime warranty isn't even worth it when I have to ship it back myself - I would rather go to another brand.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Joshua,
We apologize for the inconsistent behavior experienced with the Class 10 microSDHC card. The standard warranty process is for the part to be shipped to us then we ship the new part back out. Please contact us and we can see what other shipping options may be available for you in our RMA department. Reach us at 1-800-435-0640 (USA and Canada only) M - F 6am - 6pm PT.

Thank you for using Kingston flash cards,
-Jewel, Kingston US Technical Support

1 out of 5 eggsHonor your warranty

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: Pros? None. It was just a simple, inexpensive Micro card. Worked in both my tablet, phone, as well as my laptop for a while.

Cons: Where do I start? Card died and took 2 months of hundreds of photo coverage with it that can never be replaced. Yes I know to back up but was not in a place to be able do so.. I am a retired Network Systems Analyst so I know what I am doing.

Other Thoughts: Kingston's original response said it was Newegg's place to honor warranty, which is not true. Newegg sent me back to Kingston. If they fail to honor my warranty again, I will look elsewhere and never look back. And I make recommendations on a lot of purchases for business as well as family and friends.

1 out of 5 eggsSeemed great, but turned out not so much

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: The USB adapter is amazing and fast, great for loading movies and music onto the Micro SD that my ASUS Andriod Tablet. This was one of the main reasons I bought this particular model.

Cons: When I first got it, I loaded it into the USB adapter and plugged it into my computer. It was able to read and write to the card with no problems. When I plugged it into my tablet, it recognized all of the movies, and I was elated. It even recognized the movies and music when I plugged it into the USB port on my BluRay player. I was overjoyed until I attempted to play the first movie. The movie played fine for about 20 minutes, and then the entire drive crashed. The only way to recover from this was to physically disconnect and reconnect the device. But like clockwork, after 20 minutes of playing ANY video files, it fails in the same manner. Video file plays great from my computer hdd, so its not the files. It is something with this micro SD. I have another 32gb drive from another mfr, and it works with no problems, so I'm not sure if I was given a defective device or what. I'll be seeking RMA or some other assistance from Kingston for sure.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well.

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: Works as it is supposed to.

Cons: I wish it came with a case.

Other Thoughts: The card works well with the USB adapter, and both my laptop and my Avatar 10" tablet had no trouble reading it. I liked this flash-card kit so much, that I bought a second one for use with another tablet.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for 4 Months

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: Price and storage. When it worked it worked really well (except for the usb adapter, that never worked).

Cons: This stopped working after 4 months in my Galaxy Note II. I had purchased it store my music on to keep the phone memory free. One day it just stopped working. I reformatted and re-loaded my music. Stopped working after 1 day. Now the card is not even readable in any device.

Other Thoughts: Should have paid more attention to the other reviews, apparently this card has failure issues in Android phones.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: High price was absolutely justified.
I don't trust critical stuff, e.g. work/designs/drawings/etc. business (Engineer here) for long-term storage on flashmemory; and if I do transport data would be typically on a normal USB-connectorized stick with much lower data density (less capacity ==> more reliability).
However this little unit took me by storm.
It DOES write as fast as Kingston advertises, and 32GB coupled with USB MobilityPak made me abandon other devices. I didn't expect this to be as good as I originally intended it to be only to replace stock memory in Motorola Atrix (Smartphone).
BUT! I ended up using this card for all kinds of things.
FYI:
USB MobilityPak included with it, is amazing, tiny SMALLER than SDcard, you insert SDHC card into it turning SDHC into a regualr USB flash/thumb/stick drive (whatever you call it), fast, high capacity, I won't trust my life to any flashmemory & I can afford top grade stuff like Iron Key, but this Kingston one is well done!

Cons: None. Given good performance I won't cite even price as being a con.

Other Thoughts: It arrived in 1 day, 2 days faster than 3-day delivery I paid for, thanks NewEgg.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this and I'd buy it again!

This review is from: Kingston 32GB microSDHC Flash Card (Multi Kit / Mobility Kit) Model MBLY10G2/32GB

Pros: I've had my Droid since the week it came out 3 years ago, and decided I'd better prepare for a new purchase of the Bionic (once some deals come out.) De-fragged the data on my class 4 16G SanDisk that came with it, then transferred the data over to the new Kingston SDHC. Now I'm not a techie by any means, but the speed difference was EXTREMELy noticeable. Again, I have nothing to compare it to except my old flash card, but this one blew it away!!!!

Cons: The price.

Other Thoughts: Where's the 64 now!?!?!?!?! :)
