Redesigned with a precision unibody enclosure crafted from a single block of aluminum, the MacBook is thinner and lighter than its predecessor as well as stronger and more durable. But Apple didn't stop innovating with the body's design. The MacBook also includes a new 13.3-inch, LED-backlit glass display (instead of an LCD panel) and a glass trackpad that doesn't include a button (for larger tracking area) and features includes Apple's Multi-Touch technology.

Under the hood, the MacBook is powered by a powerful 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (with 3 MB L2 cache and 1066 MHz front-side bus), which runs applications faster and more efficiently as well as helps to reduce power requirements and save on battery life. And the MacBook features the integrated NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor, which delivers outstanding 3D game play with up to five times faster graphics performance than the previous generation.

It's pre-loaded with Apple's Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard operating system, which enables easy backup of your most important data via Time Machine, a redesigned desktop that helps eliminate clutter. It also comes with the iLife '08 suite of applications--including iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband, and iTunes--and the newest version of the fast-loading Safari web browser. Other hardware features include a 160 GB hard drive, 2 GB of installed RAM (which can be upgraded to 4 GB), an 8x combo Superdrive (for burning dual-layer DVDs as well as CDs), built-in Gigabit Ethernet for high-speed networking, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR (Enhanced Data Rate), and Mini DisplayPort video output (for DVI and VGA connections).

Can run current MacOS 10.10 (Yosemite) Cons: From 2008 but what is it? Headline says 2.4GHz and Overview says 2.0 GHz. Apple released 2 models of MacBook that year: The MB466LL/A was 2.0 GHz and the pricier MB467LL/A was 2.4GHz and had a backlit keyboard, not available with the slower model. Although both of the models qualify to run Yosemite, I wouldn't try it with either one unless replacing the slow stock HD with an SSD. Other Thoughts: Maybe the confusion over speed is an innocent mistake, but I'd worry about purchasing from a vendor who is not careful about describing their product. Read the "other thoughts" below Other Thoughts: I bought a supposed refurbished Apple Macbook, It is used!!! not referb. Refurbished means the factory has cleaned it up and put a new outside shell on it. This was all scratched up (it would have been fine if I was buying a used laptop not refurbished) and it was dirty, there was dust and dirt under the battery cover and on the keyboard. Note to seller: If you are going to sell used products make sure you list them as used NOT refurbished!!!! This review is from: Apple MacBook MB466LL/A 13.3" Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard Notebook Pros: A great price for any MAC. The system is in great shape with all required accessories. I found it easy to upgrade and add memory to make this older system still good for years to come. Cons: Only shipping option was ground. Waiting a week is not that bad but being able to upgrade the shipping would be nice. Although the pricing is good for a MAC a PC with these specs would have been a fraction of the cost. Other Thoughts: As a heavy PC user with experience with Windows and Linux I always wanted a MAC. This was a great deal on an older model. This came to the house is great condition. I upgraded the memory and the OS. This little system is running great and I expect it to work just fine for my basic computing needs.
