BAFX Products BAFX3127 Bluetooth OBD2 Diagnostic Scan Tool connects to your 1996 or newer OBD2 compliant vehicles and then can be synched via bluetooth with your Android based phone / notepad or Windows Computer to send and receivevehicle information - ALL VEHICLES SOLD IN THE USA AFTER 1996 MUST BE OBD2 COMPLIANT AND OUR OBD2 READER WILL WORK WITH THEM ALL!

The BAFX Products adapter will last longer, give you a more stable connection, provide a better data transfer rate and work smoother on ALL vehicles than many of its competitors. When used with Android or Windows based software this OBDII scan tool, can retrieve trouble codes, reset the check engine light and read MANY statistics not available with normal scan tools! You can monitor things such as O2 sensor readings, EOT, Revs, Throttle, Boost, Speed Fuel Trim and much more. When used with certain software you can also check your emissions readiness, track your 0-60MPH, 1/4 & 1/8 Mile times plus more.

• Works on all vehicles located in the U.S. 1996 & Newer (By law must be OBDII compliant)
• Read diagnostic trouble codes, both generic and manufacturer-specific, and display their meaning
• Clear trouble codes and turn off the MIL ("Check Engine" light) - This adapter DOES NOT read ABS, SRS, Oil Chang or other lights - It only reads OBDII information related to the check engine light!
• Connects to your Android phone or Windows laptop by using an app or computer program (Sold separately)
• Compatible with Android phones Only – Not for use with iOS devices

With the BAFX™ bluetooth adapter you will be able to:
• Read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTC)
• Display and read
• Engine data such as RPM
• Vehicle Speed
• Long Term Fuel Trim
• Short Term Fuel Trim
• Timing Advance
• Intake Air Temp
• Air Flow Rate
• Oxygen Sensors

* Not all vehicles will support all possible readings. The readings supported by your vehicle depend on the sensors installed by the manufacturer. The newer the vehicles generally have more sensor and functions.

We do not provide the software to use this on your Android phone or computer and software must be purchased separately from other vendors within the Google Play store or on-line for Windows programs.

5 out of 5 eggsReal time engine info, low entry cost

Pros: Under $30 for unit and necessary Android app
Wireless real time stream of engine data to Android device
1 year warranty
Responsive sales team

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This unit does not cost a lot and works great. It relays real time data directly to your Android phone or tablet when paired with Torque or a similar app. This tool provides the ability to read and clear engine light codes. It does everything that just about any backyard mechanic needs and more than pays for itself with the first code you read, address and clear. Vendor stands behind their product.

5 out of 5 eggssatisfying purchase

Pros: Works as it says it does. Hooks into the port under your dash connects to your bluetooth on your phone or computer and lets you see real time data while sitting there idling or while driving (be careful!)

Cons: To me its and little flimsy and just hangs from the port right next to my left leg. Im always afraid ill hit it and break it somehow.
Also dont leave it plugged it at all times only when youre using it because it will run your battery down because it does stay on as you can see from the blinking light when its plugged it.

Other Thoughts: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is amazing!

Pros: Tells me all kinds of information. It even cleared the codes from a 1995 Lincoln!

Cons: It's big under the dash. I wouldn't want to leave it under there.

Other Thoughts: Everyone should have one of these. It paid for itself the first time I used it.
Buy the Torque Pro app also.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Excellent

Pros: paired with my Galaxy S3 no problem, gives readout on a lot of pid's. Just like having your own little auto shop except its portable.

Cons: None that I have seen. Other than some readings aren't their, but thats not the tools fault, its the auto manufacturers who design the ecm and put what pid's they want on that particular model of vehicle, for some strange reason doesnt show oil pressure, fuel pressure, etc, but I have oil pressure gauge..weird

Other Thoughts: Great little OBD2 reader

4 out of 5 eggsworks faster than some more expensive tools

Pros: I'm a professional auto mechanic and I like this thing for what it is. It will read codes and give you some pretty useful data. I use it mainly to check cars for inspection. The car has to be ready for testing ( OBD readiness monitors all complete) and this little thing with my phone gets the job done faster than walking across the shop, getting a scan tool and waiting for it to power up to do this check.

Cons: Must buy Torque app (or some other app) to get full functionality. Free app is pretty useless. Don't be cheap! Pay the 5 bucks for the app!

Other Thoughts: You have to pay for the Torque to get the most from this device. Well worth it.
I have 2 of these. I keep one in my car (for friend/family emergencies) and 1 at work sitting on my toolbox.
If you know what you are looking at, you get plenty of info to help you actually fix a car. You just have to know what you are doing. Remember, no scanner, professional or not, will diagnose a car and tell you what's wrong. It give you a circuit (code) as starting point and data and you have to know what to look for. Also, if you want you car fixed by professionals, do not use this device to erase the codes. By erasing the codes and turning your light off you just wiped out all the information that is needed to fix your problem. Don't be your own worst enemy.

1 out of 5 eggsVery bad

Pros: It worked but holding Bluetooth connection is very iffy. It eventually stopped all together. Part if the problem is that when you attach it to

Cons: Iffy Bluetooth connection.
Stopped working.
Connecting to your port is not very firm so easy go fall off the port connector.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy. Waste if money, limited free software apps with lots of ads built in with limited functionality.

Pros: Informs of any codes
Clears codes if needed
Covers a huge range of vehicles
Android friendly

Cons: Instruction limited
Need to play with the settings depending on your android device
Only uses newer Bluetooth

Other Thoughts: Got 2 and gave one to a friend. WAY useful for checking out a used car before purchase :-)
