This review is from: STW 2-Port PCI-E USB 3.0 Express Card with 5.25 bay usb 3.0 front panel and 5V 4-Pin Power Connector for PC Pros: The PCI-E card allows you to add USB 3.0 ports to your pc even if your motherboard only has USB 2 connectors free. Also, I didn't need the drivers, my Win 8.1 pc recognized the ports without any problems Cons: No documentation for installation of device or drivers. Also, pins for the USB connector on the PCI-E card are very flimsy & bend easily. Other Thoughts: My motherboard is USB 3 compatible, but I had to use USB 2 for my pc's front panel USB ports because the board didn't have USB 3 connectors. Pros: The PCI-E card allows you to add USB 3.0 ports to your pc even if your motherboard only has USB 2 connectors free. Also, I didn't need the drivers, my Win 8.1 pc recognized the ports without any problems

Cons: No documentation for installation of device or drivers. Also, pins for the USB connector on the PCI-E card are very flimsy & bend easily.

Other Thoughts: My motherboard is USB 3 compatible, but I had to use USB 2 for my pc's front panel USB ports because the board didn't have USB 3 connectors. This device gave me 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front that I can actually use as USB 3 ports
