2 out of 5 eggsNot Very impressed however Cool LED logo light

Pros: Arrived less than 3 days after I ordered it ! this does impress me. also pros-> small and light - neat keyboard layout and the think-pad logo has a cool red LED for the dot on the i .....

Cons: Biggest con was the screen had some think lines in the display as soon as I powered it up. second problem was I spent 3 hours on two days each for researching and then either removing or tweeking the Lenovo bloatware that came with the Win 7 64 bit OS. I think the password management and the reach it cloud storage were the only useful proprietary utilities that came with it. Rest are useless and degrade the performance. that gets to the 3rd & 4th con the AMD A6 processor has a low tdp which is good for battery life and it can turbo to 3ghz, but it seems to really only handle 2 threads at a time and not very fast, I had an AMD tk57 years ago that smoke this in performance, could be also they put a single 4gb module in memory (4th con) and that means memory runs in single channel mode killing the already sluggish performance of the AMDa6 - Lenovo would have been much smarter to put two 2gb modules running in dual channel mode and get much better performance this way. 5th con the 500gb standard old school HDD had OK performance considering the fact that low prices on SSD and buying in bulk lenovo could have made this much zippier in performance by putting a 240gb ssd in- they likely only pay same price this way - If these changes were made the machine could have pretty good out of box performance and a battery that might last as much as 7 hours... I will never understand a large company with talented employees yet they cripple a machine by putting stupid hardware in when for same price they could turn out a machine that performs 50% better..... anyway back to con Nr # 1 each day the lines in the screen get worse...so by day 5 the machine has only 2/3rd s of a screen! I guess it might be the shippers fault rather than lenovo's ... I have a G570 lenovo and a t400 lenovo think-pad and they have taken much more abuse than normal wear and tear and their screens are still going strong..... I will have no choice but to ask for RMA... I think Lenovo should hire me to help them kit out the machines to get max performance for same price... their guys are doing a poor job..

Other Thoughts: I think Lenovo should hire me to help them kit out the machines to get max performance for same price... their guys are doing a poor job.. i mean really why cripple dual channel machine with single channel memory then add a HDD THAT SLOWS IT DOWN SOME MORE, AND adding IN A SPECIAL SOFTWARE called airbag protection or whatever it was, that software cost them money also... for same price they could use SSD with dual channel and no extra software etc etc etc Please Lenovo wake up - your think-pads used to be awesome this thing is substandard and more like a netbook or something for a child's first laptop for school .......
