5 out of 5 eggsGood bye bottles water!!!!

Pros: It took me 30 min to install. The water quality is great. Filter replacement is easy as long as you remember to turn off the storage tank and shut off the water. I did one and not the other and got a quick shower. The first stage filter after 4 months was brown and the second stage wasn't any better so this thing is doing it's job. We go though 2 gallons of water a day easy and use it for cooking and drinking and never had it run out or not produce on demand.

Cons: The runoff drainage noise can get annoying since as it filters it causes a small stream to drain off into the main water line which echos in the pipe and you can hear it 20 feet away. I recommend maybe drilling the runoff hole in the pipe a little lower so the waste water doesn't drip in from a high point and makes the dripping noise.
It is a pretty big system so be prepared to not have too much storage space left under your sink.

Other Thoughts: I can't believe I spent so much money on bottled water before.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding product

Pros: No problems installing, I installed it in the basement below the kitchen sink and ran the tubing up to the sink and drain. Also connected it the refrigerator, it produces great ice. Had to remove the internal refrigerator filter to gain enough pressure. Once I did that I got more pressure than just with the refrigerator internal filter. We get plenty of filtered water with a 4 person household, used for drinking, cooking and ice. Overall I would defiantly recommend this product to someone who is in need of bottled quality from the tap.

5 out of 5 eggsPure, delicious water at a low price and minimal maintenance

Pros: If you're already using messy, expensive Brita/Pur carbon water filters in a pitcher, you are wasting your money for inferior water.

If you can follow basic instructions, you can install this thing yourself in under two hours (including clean up time). After that, you only need to replace the pre-stage filter every six months (instead of monthly or more). Your healthy water will always taste perfect, and you'll save money!

Compared to carbon-only filters, this thing pays for itself in under two years. After that, it's money in the bank. And it's healthier.

This is a no brainer!

Cons: I've had zero problems with this unit.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Unit

Pros: Picked this up on sale via Newegg. It was a replacement for my Microline/Clack tri-filter system. Microline stopped making the ceramic element a few years back, so it was time togo with a newer system. I kept my existing lines and simply put this one in place. Tested water with one of the mineral testing meters and it is running about 92% efficiency over tap water. A little lower than I think it should be, but still with in good range. Water produced tastes fine. Radium in our water is my main concern. I have not tested it yet since it requires a special lab, but will get around to it at some point. If 92% efficient then one would assume the calcium particles are out that carry the radium.

Cons: Only cons with an RO system is the waste water that is produced. Having a well and septic system one doesn't want to port all that extra waste water into the septic tank. I am also a little leery of all the tubing that runs between filter systems. Although OK now, it always seems like a point of leak failure at some point in my opinion.

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping, nice set of instructions. As long as Apec continues to produce the filters and support the unit all will be well. I like the USA made push as well. It does matter to me, thanks Apec.

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than bottle water

Pros: Easy to install, everything was color coded. Tech support was there late on the weekend to assist us. Excellent tasting water. My wife is a water snob and we were spending around $25 on bottled water. Thanks for saving us time from going to the store and money!

Cons: Not really a con but there is a slight rumble for 2-3 seconds as we are filling up large containers. It's not loud but is noticeable. The only other thing that freaked my wife out at first is the amount of bubbles in the water. There are a lot of them and I told them is was aerated for purity. SHHH Don't tell her.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat find!

Pros: So I never heard of these guys and bought mine at Lowes... the handle started to leak but the manuf kindly sent me a replacement which I treat very tenderly (the mechanism is plasticy.) So anyway I bought this one instead for my mom even though it cost a lil more because it would work with pretty much any counter hole size and save me from drilling. Now, let me tell you, this one is the real deal: it is gorgeous and well made. Plus they don't gouge you on the filters... you can order them shipped to the door for a fraction of what I'm paying on the other one. If it made any $$ sense I would throw out the other one and get another of these. Also can't forget to tell you how helpful they were over the phone.. that was why I bought it... actually got an american who knew everything about the products and what I was trying to do.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: drink good water... don't settle for water that turns your expensive green tea brown.
