Next thing you know, you have an instantaneous MPG gauge on your car. Nice! Key feature for this device is the sleep mode which means you do not have to unplug the device when the car is going to be parked for awhile. Very happy over all. Only disappointment (not the fault of this device) is that my vehicles (1996 Civic, 2003 Tacoma) do not output all data types (such as fuel tank level, or in the case of the Civic, fuel consumption). Pros: Compact
Inexpensive
Sleep mode

Cons: Could be even more compact

Other Thoughts: This device creates it own Wifi network, which you join with your smartphone (iPhone 6 in my case) and then use one of the many OBD (On-board diagnostics) apps in the App Store to display the data that is sent over Wifi.
