Pros: Works well; no problems.

Cons: Sometimes gets stuck trying to eject discs; pretty sure that's due to the case putting abnormal pressure on this unit so not docking any points for it.

Pros: Used in place of a more expensive DVD drive in a HP IQ505 Touch screen computer.

Cons: Not a con, as I had to modify the case slightly to make it work.

Other Thoughts: Saved the customer a bunch of dough......

Pros: Used in a HTPC and has been working very well.

Cons: It's the loudest part of the HTPC I built. It's not terrible but can be head once in a while. The blinking access light gets annoying when watching a movie so it got painted over.

Other Thoughts: Good if you need a slim drive.

Pros: good speed and reliable

Cons: kind of flimbsy so that when installed the door only closes by pushing on one side of the drive. in addition the disk sort of catches many times and you have to be very careful while inserting

Other Thoughts: this drive sits in a media PC that is more internet driven than CD/DVD driven, so if you are more DVD driven it might not be the best solution. I could easily get more irritated if I had to put in disks more often. the occasional insert doesn't seem to boil my blood too much. not sure there is better out there for strength, but should be since I have had better in laptops. I have also had worse on laptops and so I am not sure what is better or price and reliability. if I had a choice again I might see if paying a little more got a better drive.

Cons: This thing won't fit in any of the 3 Dell Latitude laptops I've tried it in. It says it's compatible with laptops, but it's WAY TOO BIG. The laptops I own have ROM's that are much slimer than this one. I think they need to specify that it only fits mini atx computer towers, not laptops.

Pros: does its job

Cons: No cables (but OEM so....), not normal sata cable (don't think it says), not really black

Other Thoughts: its noticeably a different color from my black case

Pros: Fit mounting bracket of Antec Mini Itx case perfectly
Easy plug Sata Power and Data cables
Quiet operation
CD's snap mount like a Laptop, rather than drop into tray. A plus for Vertically mounted drives perhaps.

Other Thoughts: Mounting screws must be 2/56 or equivalent metric...Poor eyesight..... Drive holes yielded perfect alignment of bezel with front of case (wow).

Cons: It doesn't polish my CDs? I only wish you could find laptop optical drives with a WHITE bezel

Other Thoughts: Bought this for a SFF build with a Silverstone SG05W

Pros: Havent had a Chance to test is yet as I was unaware that there were no cables included and I don't have a mini-sata power cable.
