Cons: My refurbished unit came full of dust and greasy smudges. I should have returned it immediately but decided to clean it up and install it. I should have known there would be problems just from the condition it was in. The unit would not stay connected to wifi even though it was placed right next to the router, it kept dropping the signal. Returning it was a hassle, e-mailing the seller back and forth, no return label provided as I was told Newegg would not let them send me one. I had to contact Newegg's customer service which of course was excellent! They credited me for the return postage immediately. When the company found this out they actually gave me a refund minus the return postage so Newegg credited my account once again and charged the company so I would get a full refund. Newegg apologized for the company. I purchased many things from Newegg and never had this experience before! I have four other blu-ray players with wifi in my home that I installed and they are working perfectly. I definitely would not recommend buying this refurbished unit, returns are a huge hassle with this third party company.

Pros: -Has 4:3 mode to display picture correctly on my old 4:3 HDTV
-Recognizes NTFS formatted hard drives.
-Plenty of streaming apps
-Upconverts SD or lower files nicely

Cons: -It has problems playing certain video files. Most Xvid files play fine but some that I have been playing flawlessly for years on PC and other dvd players are suddenly "corrupt or unsupported" on this player. Philips players have much better Xvid file support.
-Remote is cheap and teeny tiny. hands actually start to hurt after using it for a while.
-TV sideview app is buggy

Other Thoughts: -The seller receives 5 stars for providing a quality product at a lower than retail price.

Pros: Refurbished item shipped in the original box with all originally included items. Packed with care, a big deal for me. Very easy to set up and nice, fast interface.
I feel very confident buying referb items because someone took the time to make sure everything works properly.
