5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Engineers and Software developers

Pros: This is the *best* experience for engineering work. I use CAD tools such as Solidworks, Fusion 360 and Altium Designer and do most of my software development in Eclipse. 40" is the perfect size to get lots of work area without having to use any scaling.

Cons: A little bit of backlight Bleed but is otherwise a great experience. Worked out of the box @4k 60Hz

Other Thoughts: I plan on purchasing this again. I needed to use "dark" themese for everything and turn the brightness down. Full white is a bit rough on the eyes

2 out of 5 eggsPurchased 3 Of Them - Big Mistake

Pros: These monitors were the most inexpensive option for the large 39.5" / 40" size 4K monitor to run at 4k 60Hz.

Cons: This monitor does not run at 4k 60Hz consistently. They started that way after setup then dropped off to 4k 30Hz. Now they will not even run at 4k at all, 1920 X 1080P is the best they will do at the current time. The Seiki Pro monitors came with Displayport cables which are supposed to be 1.2 - with capabilities to run 4k @ 60Hz - don't you dare believe it.

Me being In diagnostic mode to try an fix this problem of not getting the full 4k 60Hz. I purchased an expensive certified 1.2 Displayport cable from a different vendor (WHICH A CUSTOMER SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO DO AT ANY TIME!) to see if the fix would be that simple...it's not working either. All three monitors are exactly like this...what a disappointment.

Other Thoughts: My eventual end goal for the new custom computer rig is to run three, 4k monitors of large size at a true 60Hz. simultaneously, however I am aware there exists no video cards that are capable of doing this at the present time but there are certain GPU/Video cards that can run one 4k monitor at true 60Hz. if overclocked. I have spent much time and money building such a system so I know the computer rig is not the weak link in the system.

X99 motherboard
32Gb. of DDR4 RAM
i7 - 5960X CPU
Swiftech H240 liquid cooler
EVGA 1300watt modular power supply.
Thermaltake Commander X9 case. (It has it's own set of problems seeking a solution.)
EVGA overclocked Classified 980TI GPU card/cards
Windows 10 Pro O.S.

2 out of 5 eggsLook great 4k 60Hz BUT has some issue with turn on after going to sleep

Pros: Great screen 4k 60hz using DP1.2

Cons: The monitor often does not turn on after my desktop go to sleep and wake up. I cannot get the monitor to turn on. The power light is orange and does not turn green. I have to unplug the monitor and then turn it on. I am almost ready to return this monitor.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat monitor

Pros: This is the perfect size for a 4k monitor because at this size you don't need font scaling. I hate font scaling per se because it introduces several problems with games etc. in Windows 8 and lower.

Cons: The monitor will appear too big and almost imposing in the beginning. This happens because you will place it right where your older 20-something inch monitor was. This is a mistake. The correct way to use this monitor is to either wallmount it, or increase the distance between the monitor and your eyes by 6 inches. This method also corrects the "dark edges" that some people notice.

5 out of 5 eggsAn exceptional product!

Pros: -Giant 40" display
-Not really heavy
-Easy setup
-Touch bezel controls are a nice touch

I researched this monitor against others in the same category (Phillips, etc.) and finally chose Seiki. I've had it up and running for a week now and am very happy with the performance. Definitely change the DisplayPort setting to 1.2 to get 60hz at 4k. Other than that I really haven't made any setting adjustments.

Cons: -PiP settings are a little restrictive. I would like to be able to do a split-screen between 2 computers. It seems to default to only 1/4 screen per input.

Other Thoughts: -A remote with a PiP button would be nice

4 out of 5 eggsVery Clear 4K Monitor

Pros: Very nice monitor – very clear. Easy to set up, thanks to the other reviewers here. Even at 200%, the text is crystal clear.

Cons: No remote. No speakers. OSD is not that good. Must use displayport 1.2 and 60Hz to make it work well (no mouse lag) at 3840x2160 (4K).

Other Thoughts: On monitor’s OSD, set the displayport to 1.2. Then go into Nvidia control panel and scroll down to PC setting. That is where the 60Hz is available on the right. After that, I set my text size to the maximum, 200%. This is a good deal when it's on sale.

4 out of 5 eggsIncredibly large. 60 Hz. Can take some getting used to.

Pros: -Large. 40 inches guarantees that you'll get the most out of your 4K experience. Scaling at this size is no problem. Everything looks beautiful.
-60 Hz. Although it's not setup out of the box, you'll need to enable DP1.2 from the OSD. It's a PITA using the touch-bezel, but once it's setup you're ready for goodness.
-Connections. 2 DP, 2 HDMI, DVI-D and VGA cover all your video needs. If you don't like digital audio (I prefer analog), a PC audio passthrough port is available. A headphone out will cover your speaker or headphone needs. I assume you can play HDMI/DP audio through this headphone jack as well but I haven't tried it. Includes a USB 3.0 hub on the back of the monitor. Excellent if you have a webcam but a short cable.
-Price. It was on sale for $450. I had $50 left on a gift card I got from Groupon. So essentially I got this for $400. Score!

Cons: -Setup. For some reason the display can handle 60 Hz on 2K/4K resolutions, but you have to set it up in the Nvidia/Windows Display control panel. The two settings clash with each other, constantly trying to override the other settings. It's a pain and reverts to 30 Hz every once in a while when playing video games but it's something you have to deal with on a beautiful screen like this.
-It's... too big. It barely fits on my desk. While gaming I need to sit a good distance away, but this is more a problem with my own setup than with the screen itself. Highly suggest getting a wall mount stand for it. That being said...
-VESA 100x100. Why? Just... why?? This monitor is essentially an HDTV without the input lag. There should be more mounting options beyond 100mm. Most VESA monitor mounts clamp onto the desk, so if your desk is wobbly, prepare to make it worse (the monitor itself wobbles a bit but it's not a big deal). So... I highly suggest a wall mountable (or sturdy floor mounted) stand.

Other Thoughts: 1) Don't forget to enable DP 1.2 in the OSD!
2) In Windows 10 with an Nvidia card installed, there are two places to set 60 Hz. The Nvidia settings window may be confusing. Make sure you scroll down the resolutions menu to select your 4K resolution to enable 60 Hz. Alternatively, go to the Windows Display Properties menu, choose the Monitor Display Adapter Properties and select 60 Hz from the dropdown box.
3) If all else fails, look up a guide for "Custom Resolution Utility" to force the 4K 60 Hz setting if the video card is not reading the EDID from the monitor correctly.
4) Don't expect to perform 4K gaming at 60 Hz on Ultra settings on most games. A Titan can barely push 40 FPS @ 4K on Metal Gear Solid V. I have two GTX 680 cards in SLI. I can run "Very High" settings on 1440P/2K and barely reach 40 FPS.

BUT IT STILL LOOKS PRETTY.

I heard about some longevity issues with this screen. If I have any problems I'll update this review as I see fit.

3 out of 5 eggsJust wait for something that doesnt suck as much

Pros: -Price

Cons: -Glossy Screen
-No HDCP 2.2
-No HDMI 2.0
-No DP 1.3
-Terrible touch buttons
-No height adjustment on stand

Other Thoughts: You can't actually use this monitor to consume any 4K content because it lacks HDCP 2.2 support.Having a 60hz refresh rate doesn't really help this with gaming. I was still unable to play anything on this monitor for more than 10 minutes before I got a headache from the tearing and lag. I was going to switch from my ROG swift to this, but after 30 minutes on the main part of my desk it got moved to the side... I'm sure this is great for editing photos, but for anything with movement or action, you are going to get a headache watching it. I'm not sure if thats from the PWM backlight or just the terrible lag/tearing. Maybe I am just used to gsync displays now but the advert says its great for gaming.... just no.

Update: For some reason SLI got disabled and that was casuing that majority of the tearing. Its still a problem but its not nearly as bad. Thats on 2x 980Ti with vsync on. I also disabled the dynamic backlight, or whatever they call it and that helped with the glare. Changing my rating to 3 stars as you still cant use it for any protected 4K content, which is pretty much the only type of 4K content you can get right now. I'm also not sure why they bother with the audio pass through, it has no speakers and changing the volume with the garbage buttons takes a minor miracle.

4 out of 5 eggsHuge Monitor! Great Price! Why Yes I will take two for $448 each!

Pros: Wow these monitors are really big and beautiful! 4k 60hz only possible with aftermarket Display Cables and the DP 1.2 menu option selected. I have two running at 7680x2160 for productivity and I drop down to one for games. I bought these to replace 2 30" cinema displays and it really was a game changer. I will mainly be using this setup for 3d design and vsfx work, I was a little weary about Seiki Pro as a brand but I am more than pleased with the quality, and with proper calibration the colors are actually quite nice. I was disappointed that they removed the daisy chain feature advertised during the companies CES product launch (although I suspect that it would not work with 4k@60hz due to the limitation of DP 1.2. I can't comment on how well these hold up in the long run, but out of the box it is definitely on of the most satisfying purchases I have made with Newegg!

Cons: Colors are a little dull out of the box, but at the price point with a proper calibration it is not really that much of a con. The Display Port and HDMI cables included are absolutely terrible and really just an annoyance. I would rather a company not include the cables then to include something useless that actually detracts away from the users initial product experience. The menu is a little clunky but totally usable.

Other Thoughts: If you want a huge 4k monitor for a great price, I recommend giving this monitor a try. If you want to experience the future buy two! (just make sure you have the GPU to support it)
