1 out of 5 eggswarning!

Pros: It's a cool light.

Cons: This will interfere with your rig. After installing, the computer wouldn't POST. After a couple tries, it finally booted to windows, but all the USB components were unrecognized. Come to find out, the entire USB hub was unrecognized. Once i got the light out of there, the computer worked fine again. Fortunately nothing was damaged. The light and power box was on the bottom of a metal-free all clear case.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: While it lasted it looked AWESOME in my case. My case has a small green tinted window and with this behind it everything looked really cool.

Cons: After about a week i went to turn it on and it went on for about 5 seconds and then randomly shut off and no matter what i did i couldnt get it to turn back on!

Other Thoughts: I'm not able to return it because i don't have the original packaging so that was my own fault. The look of it was awesome while it worked and i may have just been unlucky and received a defective item.

5 out of 5 eggsShocking, Indeed

Pros: Excellent effect, very durable. Ordered mine in 2008 from Xoxide.com, still runs strong.

Cons: As the previous reviewer has mentioned, yes.. be careful with it. I was playing Wow on one computer, reassembling another with this and as I went to plug it into the inverter (with the computer on, of course, like an idiot) I received a shock the likes of which I am unable to describe. There was a burn mark on my thumb and I physically had to pry the inverter from my skin with my other hand. It's the voltage that these inverters create to run these things.

Other Thoughts: Thing is durable as it gets, excellent construction. Just don't be an idiot like me and pay attention to what you're doing. Came here to see if they were still in production and thought I'd throw in my 2c.

1 out of 5 eggsShocked! and dismayed

Pros: Looks cool.

Cons: First, my newly-built computer wouldn't boot if the light was near the motherboard. Once I came here to read the bad reviews, and verified that the light was interfering with other components, I then attempted to move it while still on to discover a "safe" location in my case. While moving the light by grabbing what looks like an insulated base, it gave me quite a strong shock. My hand and arm are still tingly while I type this.

Other Thoughts: Believe the bad reviews with all the up-votes, and pass this one by. It's unsafe for your computer components and you. I won't be purchasing any more lights from this company.

Before it shocked me, I tested the interference by moving the light with inverter, and was able to disable parts of my computer specifically, such as a USB hub.

5 out of 5 eggsvery cool

Pros: Very sweet blue water effect. Far more impressive that a regular blue neon light.

Cons: To get that light to make the water effects, you have to use this rectangular box that's about 1"x3" (as shown in the item pics. I was able to hide it under a hard drive bay, but keep it mind, that's what you have to deal with.

4 out of 5 eggsImpressive visuals, low price, a few obvious flaws

Pros: The visual impact is absolutely impressive. I have this mounted in the top angled vent in my NZXT Phantom case. Wow! People noticed it quickly and thought it was awesome. I have to say, it does look pretty impressive in blue. "It looks like running water", I've been told. For the price, this is a steal.

Cons: Despite its beauty, it does have some shortcomings. As mentioned in other reviews, the double sided sticky tape is weak. You'll want to find your own. I wish that the endcaps for the tube were smaller because it would have opened up more mounting possibilities for me in tight spaces. The cords could be a little longer. (Or does NewEgg sell any extensional especially made for these kinds of voltages? I couldn't find any.)

Finally, I don't think it is entirely insulated. When it is operational, my Gigabyte motherboard constantly senses an audio device being plugged and unplugged. Windows 8, of course, constantly notifies me of this event over and over and over. To get rid of it, I had to unplug the audio connection from the motherboard to the front jacks that were built into my case.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if LOGISYS listens to feedback or not, but with some minor tweaking, they could have a really nice product.

3 out of 5 eggsgood not great

Pros: seems to be good quality with no issues. very cool looking light. product was exactly what was described.

Cons: there were only 2 things i was a little unhappy with but 1 is very minor. the minor issue is the double sided tape/velcro that came with the light to mount in my case didnt hold 5 minutes before it fell. after multiple times fixing it i decided to zip tie it and done. perhaps a stronger adhesive tape would be great but no reason to not buy product. My reason for taking 2 eggs was the light is not that bright. I assumed that this light being 12" and others are much smaller then this would have to be one of the brightest...wrong. It maybe good for some people who are looking for just a very small amount of light but i was looking for a well lit pc case and this light is not able to do it alone. i ordered another light (different kind) to assist this one with lighting the complete inside.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a very good product if you are not looking for an extremely bright pc case. I only took the 2 eggs as i was very set on having a well lit case and was disappointed that it didn't hold up to my expectations and now i have to play the waiting game again for another light. No performance issues and light works great and very easy to install.

2 out of 5 eggscheap

Pros: It works?

Cons: My main complaint(s)1: it runs hotting than my other CCFLs 2: you CANNOT use a custom inverter like G-Van, it will simply not give it enough power. The cheap blue one they give you has 1 port blocked on it and I guess it's different than the other 3 I have laying around because they won't power it either. So why make something that is incompatible with all other inverters.

Other Thoughts: Give me a week and i'll have this replaced with more CCFLs, this is truly junk even for the price.

Simply Don't buy

5 out of 5 eggsPurchased in 2008, still ticking

Pros: Beautiful to look at blue plasma effect.

Cons: None. A little thicker than I expected, wouldn't fit where I wanted it. I want it in more colors.

Other Thoughts: I suspected the little DC to AC inverter is a bit on the cheap side so I routed the supply voltage through a spare fan controller knob. I keep it tweaked at 70-85%. After 4 years it is only now beginning to show signs of typical plasma ball age.

5 out of 5 eggsBRIGHT

Pros: I bought this for my first computer build and I didn't really know what to expect considering I've never seen these in person before.
But the thing is pretty big.
I only need one to illuminate my entire case.
The setup is a breeze, but mine didn't have any instructions, some people might need those.

Cons: No instructions, but I didn't really need them.
