1 out of 5 eggsUltimately not worth it

Pros: Purple LEDs

Cons: Poor quality. Will not last the life of your case.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 4 of these at the same time. The first one burnt out within a month, the next two within 3 months, and the last one managed to keep going strong for close to 1 year.

1 out of 5 eggsMMMmmm

Pros: Cheap.. wont waste to much money trying to experiment with these stupid things.

Cons: I bought thse in conjunction with another red LED strip from the same company (Item #: N82E16812551002) Those work amazingly good. so i was like oh this should be cool. I bought two of them along with a fan controller (Item #: N82E16811992005) Which i know its for fans but i bought it to control my lights. It works very well for that purpose however it has a setting that reads if the fans have aproblem with them and the 3 LED red strips mentioned above it controled just fine and dimmed and turned off like i wanted it to. but the UV Lazer LED it read an error so i was like hmm they are kinda dim and maybe its not supplying enough power. With this being my first attemp at UV LED's i decided to plug them straight into the power supply still just as dim so i knew it wasnt a power problem these things just suck. I mean if the 18 red LED strip doesnt have a problem with the controller why is this little dinky thing having problems. IDK. But dont buy this unless u have just never had

Other Thoughts: lights before on the inside of your computer or if you like the color purple... even then there has to be a better solution than these. maybe a UV Strip like the red one except well... you know UV lol this company has maid me mad with this product not newegg buy logisys. still i do so love my LED Strips and i will probably just buy 2 more of a different color please make the UV into a strip i Hope someone from the logisys comp reads this and sees that its a good idea. especially since i plan on getting liquid cooling for my PC here soo and plan on getting some UV piping not fluid since it can damage things along with ur pump and stuff but piping.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible wireing

Pros: NONE

Cons: i hooked these lights up on my computer and it looked cool for about 5 minutes and then the wiring started melting. Ive done alot of business on newegg mostly good but this is the worse thing i have ever bought and it was a waste of my time installing them.

1 out of 5 eggsSAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

Pros: NOTHING! ...ONLY THAT IT WAS NOT DOA!

Cons: SHOULDA BOUGHT THE COLD CATHODE INSTEAD AND YET STILL I THINK I MIGHT BE AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT HAPPIER! NOT WORTH THE RETURN TO NEWEGG!
NOT NEWEGG'S FAULT THOUGH BUT TOTALLY REGRET GETTING IT... DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!!

Other Thoughts: TRYING TO THINK WHAT OTHER USES I CAN APPLY THIS DUMB THING FOR USE. MAYBE CUT THE WIRES AND ATTACHING A CIG-LIGHTER TO IT AND USE IN IT THE CAR SOMEHOW? MAYBE EVEN THEN I STILL IT'S VERY MUCH WORTHLESS OF THE HASSLES... COULDA BOUGHT ME ANOTHER PACK OF SMOKES WITH THE CASH INSTEAD.
NOT EVEN HEAVY ENOUGH TO USE AS PAPER-WEIGHT!!!
TOTALLY DISGUSTED OF THIS PURCHASE!!! ENUFF SAID! :(

1 out of 5 eggsNOT UV

Pros: only good if you want purple leds

Cons: false advertising. the light it produces is almost not UV at all, maybe 2% of the light being produces is UV. UV reactive materials don't really glow at all, just looks like a purple light is on them. i own real UV leds and this is a joke.

1 out of 5 eggsWARNING READ BEFORE BUYING

Pros: decent light

Cons: light doesn't diffuse well. the outside case is conductive, adhesive is a joke i know this because it killed my video card when the terrible adhesive they used failed in 4 days and it dropped on the video card shorting the contacts and destroying my card.

Other Thoughts: this 7 dollar light kit is going to cost me upwards of 300 in repairs so... can't say i recommend it. oh yeah and calling it UV is false advertisement imo, it doesn't cause uv responsive material to light up. so it's a purple light not a UV light.

2 out of 5 eggsPurple/Violet light is NOT UV

Pros: They illuminate your case. Other than not being UV, they are bright and produce focused visible violet/purple light.

Cons: Light produced is not UV. My drivers license has a seal that is only visible under UV light. If I put my license in front of these lights I cannot see the seal. If I put it in front of my cold cathode UV tubes, the seal glows brightly. This positively confirms that these LEDS are violet or purple but not UV.

Other Thoughts: These might be good for filling in dark areas of the case, but if you're going for a complete UV wash inside the case to make your UV active mods glow, then avoid these LED's because any visible light is only going to make the glow from the UV sources seem less spectacular.

I only give 2 eggs because it works and its not junk, but cannot give more because it does not produce UV as claimed.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Nice alternative to heat producing inverters with CCFL. Nice compliment to them as well. Fairly bright. Great for filling up those dark corners.

Cons: They are UV, but it's a bit washed out by it's brightness. Typical of UV LEDs I've seen though.

Other Thoughts: I'm regretting that I didn't buy two of them. It's plenty bright enough, but you can only get so much coverage from a single light source in the confines of a computer case.

3 out of 5 eggsUV?

Pros: These LED's are easy to install and can be placed in many areas which are lacking your lighting scheme.

Cons: It's really hard to tell if these are truly UV LED's or not. They're not as bright as I had hoped, and use a strange focal point that can create little circles of light in your case. (Not a nice diffused light as one would get with CCFL's)

I'm a bit disappointed with these as they look much better in their pictures (what doesn't, really) and after taking the time to sleeve the cables found out that they're definitely lacking in the quality department.

Other Thoughts: These LED's seem more purple than UV. I know that UV LED's do tend to have a slight purple hue to the light given off, but these don't really react well with my Primochill UV tubing. I'll probably yank these out after my next upgrade, and pop in some more CCFL's.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Lights

Pros: These lights did the trick for my case. These little guys pack a bright punch. I had to buy a couple of these for my COSMOS case and I might have to pick up a couple more. These are great for cases that have liquid cooling especially if the coolant is UV reactive.

Cons: They are really small so its not really a con.

Other Thoughts: If you have a full tower case I would suggest picking up 3-4 of them. These will only light up sections of the tower not the whole thing. I have mine next to my fans on top of the inside of my case and they only light up just the motherboard.
