5 out of 5 eggsFit my need.

Pros: Lots of light. Beams in different directions. Needed to shine some light to the middle of my system and this works perfect. Quality for the price.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsPretty sweet!

Pros: Very attractive to the nerdy eye.

Cons: a little too bright when it's pointing your way.

Other Thoughts: Not necessary but something extra if you really want a flashy looking build.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Special, just normal 5x5mm LEDs

Pros: It's just 5x5mm LEDs on a PCB. You can even take off the housing and just point them wherever. It's not any special 'Lazer LED'.

But 5 blue LEDs are nice, if that's what you need.

Cons: You could easily mod yourself the same thing with soldering iron or even just glue and twisted wires. If you don't want to spend the time to do that, there's plenty of other LED kits, but in order to want this thing then you would specifically need 5 LEDs arranged as they are in this product. Most cases have LEDs on them as it is, your phone uses an LED for flash, you can simulate what an LED is like with that.

Other Thoughts: Nothing special about this thing. If you need 5 LEDs arranged in an array or plan to take off the casing so you can have a strip of 5 LEDs to point at whatever, it's great.

I had planned to put this under my case for a sort of underglow (like a car). It didn't work well because the lights don't really come out the side, and they aren't really shining on the ground hard, most of the light is going outwards. The best way to do this would be to use a strip of high density LEDs like the bitfenix alchemy, or better yet, 3528 LED strip.

The best application of this LED would perhaps be to light up your case inside like a spotlight from the top right or bottom right, with an obvious look like the lighting is coming from a certain spot (maybe a strip of light on top of case, and this on bottom right).

3 out of 5 eggsIt's ok...

Pros: Works great. Looks cool.

Cons: its not bright at all. I wouldn't recommend using this if you want to show off your components.
also, in the picture it looked like it was a blue light. Turns out that its actually PURPLE. Not really a con, probably just a mistake on my part for not paying attention.

5 out of 5 eggsLOL. Pretty bright.

Pros: More than bright enough to cause you to get flash blindness for a few minutes if you look directly into it. Very impressive intensity.

Cons: Not really any cons. People have mentioned that the velcro that comes with it is useless. That's probably true. I wouldn't know, because I use my own adhesives/velcro that I bought at Home Depot for like 36 for $3, so seriously folks, go buy some, before you pan this product over its 2 cents of velcro.

Other Thoughts: I actually have this, and the red version of this, juxtaposed together. My intent was to make a super annoying magenta pattern of light on the walls coming out of my case to annoy my wife.

Mission: Accomplished. Magenta does not even begin to describe the intense swirl of red and blue (and magenta) that is created by a clever daisy-chaining of this product with the red version.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Its cheep
Its blue
Its brite
what more is there to it?

Cons: Nune so far

Other Thoughts: Several ppl complain about the velcro not working. I found that if you use it on a CLEAN FLAT surface is works perfectly. Any dust or dirt will make it fall off so clean your case before you try to use it. I have mine hanging upside down on the top pf my case and it is holding.
