1 out of 5 eggsNot so good

Pros: It looks great and it does charges of the sun it least it indicates so when I place it under the sun and one of the lights turns on. So I kept it like that for 3 days figured since it said that it takes about 11 hours to be charged fully and that once it is charged it will remain so until you use it. I pluged my iPhone 4 to see how it works the iPhone made the sound like its being charged and showed that its charging I was amazed I thought wow this is cool device, but my exaitment did not last long:( 5 seconds that how long it was charging my iPhone, first I thought the wire disconnected, but it wasn't that, after I reconnected the wire it did not make any sound and show no charge being applied. Then I charged the panel via computer just to see if maybe it was not enough sun lite, unfortunately same exact scenario. I don't have any other advice to charge to see if iPhone consumes so much energy that may be this device is not compatible with it.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wish this device would work as it should

5 out of 5 eggsIntel Employee Gift? A Cell Battery with a Solar Panel on it. COOL!

Pros: Small, smaller than a phone. For some reason, I thought it would be bigger Built-In battery. It has a mini-usb input for charging the built-in battery, and full-size usb for output to the device youre charging, like a phone. Comes with short coiled usb cable with adapters, just extra, still standard connections on the unit itself, which is awesome. Takes 3-4 hours to charge from usb on my laptop, so it must be basically a whole cell battery with a solar panel on it. Cool toy, and maybe a lifesaver if the world ends, lol.

Cons: It needs direct sunlight, or it doesn't charge. It takes 11 hours to charge fully in direct sunlight only, which is pretty difficult in one day. It's not like your old-school solar-powered calculator, or a keyboard. You need serious power to charge a phone, comparatively. But it works, off the grid, lol. It has a big Intel logo on the back, which is interesting, since Intel is down the street. Someone will think I work there, which I guess isn't so bad.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had the chance to test how well it charges in direct sunlight while I am calling someone. Other bigger issue, I live in Portland, Oregon, which is cloudy a lot greatly limiting my opportunities to charge by sunlight, so I guess it's only a useful device where it's at least sunny on average. Great doomsday survival tool. Cool toy too.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It has a built in solar panel. And it has multiple plug connections for an assortment of devices.

Cons: This device was far below my expectations. I had the device in the sun for days, and it never fully charged. And in Colorado, we have great sunlight. Even if you charge it in the wall, it still won't fully charge my phone.

Other Thoughts: I'm definitely disappointed with this product. But maybe for a smaller electronic device, it might be useful as a backup charger.

* Charge through solar or usb and works well
* Fast charging on my phone

4 out of 5 eggsVery Cool Little Gadget

Pros: Charges quickly for iPhone.

Cons: No instruction manual, specs, or additional information online about this little thing.

Other Thoughts: It's just about the size of a credit card. I was surprised that it comes in a very plain gray little box, nothing that makes it seem like it is an actual Intel product, although it does have the insignia. It does say very clearly, MADE IN CHINA, which doesn't surprise me.

4 out of 5 eggsGood utility charger

Pros: * Multiple connectors
* Charge through solar or usb
* Fast charging on my iphone
* Free shipping
* Got it at a promo

Cons: * No detailed specs even on the web

Other Thoughts: I'm located in TX and we've had the longest sunny days on record this year so I thought this would be a a great utility for my phone then it started raining.

Anyway, this product has very few technical details ie; peak power output, full power charging time, etc. Surfing for information has lead to very details. Wish the company provided more info.
