Pros: I have had this unit for 3 years now. It still works great on the original batteries. It was pretty simple to program with the instructions provided.

Cons: the unit is bulky compared to the oem remote, but you can still attach it to your windshield visor no problem.

Pros: Seems sturdy enough. It works at the beginning of my driveway which is about 25 feet from the garage door.

Cons: The instructions are very limited and generic as they support so many devices. The website the instructions tells you to go to for help no longer exists. The parent company's instructions aren't much better.

Once I got the device to finally work (instructions below) I discovered that if I program the first button, all of the other remotes I had from Overhead Door Company stop working. When I fix them, the first button stops working. The only combination seems to be to use the second button on this device.

Other Thoughts: Took me about 45 minutes to get this to work with a Overhead Door Company Legacy 696CD/B because the instructions provided with this device were just flat out wrong.
1) Slide cover off
2) Press the program button on remote
3) Press the second button on the remote six (6) times waiting for the led to stop flashing before pressing again.
4) Press the "Learn" button on the back of the garage door unit.
5) Press and hold the second button on the remote for five (5) seconds.
6) Press the second button on the remote a second time and all LED's should turn off.
7) Press the second button on the remote again and fingers crossed, the garage door will open!

Pros: I was able to program two different models to this remote effortlessly.

Instructions are clear which is hard to find on products such as these.

Cons: The range is not great, but that is not an issue unless you are forgetful and expect to close your garage after you've already pulled out of the driveway.

The unit is bulky, see other comments.

Other Thoughts: while bulky, the buttons are much easy to press and it seems like the unit could hold up to plenty of abuse.
