5 out of 5 eggson 2nd one and still love it.

Pros: Keeps the water hot :-}
you can set the temperature
lasts 5 years in average

Cons: Dies soon after warranty expires.

Other Thoughts: I had one of these and it lasted 5 years. And it dies 5 years and 2 months after purchase. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one in 2011. It is now 2014 and it is still working well. I like the instant hot water. I'm thinking of buying another one for master bath area which is far from main water heater. anyway, even thought my first one died after 5 years, I still recommend this.

2 out of 5 eggsPoorly engineered for reliability.

Pros: It is fantastic to get hot water almost instantly. It is nice looking, It plugs into 110vac outlet.

Cons: Unless you are a plumber or very handy around plumbing, this may not be for you. To install it requires some plumbing knowledge. Once installed, the book advises you to drain and disassemble it once a year to replace the anode rod and seal. This rod and seal will cost about $25.00 plus shipping. If you don't do it, the tank will rust out and start leaking in about three years. The warranty on the tank is six years, but is void if you tell the tech that you hadn't replaced the anode as suggested in the manual. Beside the expense, replacing the anode rod is a pain to do every year, and if you need to call a plumber to do it it could be very expensive.

Other Thoughts: If you do decide to install this tank. be sure to cover anything below it, or put a pail below it to catch the water when it goes. It will.
I only gave it two stars because it was so nice to have, before it leaked. I made the mistake of installing two of these.
