Pros: The fan produces a decent blowing force so even if you mount it on a wall on the other side of the room, you should still be able to feel it. The hang down string you pull to change speeds isn't too hard. Very Simple and basic with no buttons. Just pull the string to change speeds and push down the notch on top to oscillate.

Cons: This fan is far from being quiet. The LOW setting, for example, sounds like the HIGH on other models. YES, it's that noisy. But HIGH feels like a tornado, which is great. So there is a trade-off. It's advertised as the grill not rusting. That means it's made out of plastic... not the strong kind but the kind that's cheap and will bend and flex if pushed in. It tilts, but there seems to be only like 2 or 3 tilt positions.. it's a bit hard to move and scary because I don't want to break the fan.. I just received it today.. so just make sure you mount it at the proper height so the tilt won't be an issue. Also, the mounting plate only has 2 screws in it and it does NOT come with anchors. You have to use them if you don't screw into the stud. Obviously, there isn't any remote or timers on this fan... not really an issue with me since I can just get up and turn it off manually when I need too.

Other Thoughts: I think my last few fans have been Laskos. It's not the best brand out there... just all I could find. I bought a Lasko Pedestal Fan last year that made an annoying noice when it oscillated.. it was driving me nuts and forced me to keep it locked in one spot... then the fan blades lost their shape and that fan stop blowing air to the point of me not hardly feeling anything. This new fan feels great... and blows like the last Lasko, but has the same exact design flaw that most fans on the market have... the cheap fan blades. Fans from like 20+ years ago had blades that didn't bend or flex.. the hard plastic (that kind that would break if hit hard)... those are the type of fan blades that never wear out.. these flexible ones lose their shape after a few weeks and you have 2 bend back in shape every few weeks... I expect this new Lasko Wall Mounted Fan to last about a year.. but it's still ok.
