4 out of 5 eggsBest LED purcase yet!

Pros: Light was the color I had hoped it would be. Kind of yellowish like the incandescent bulbs we are used to. Pretty good amount of light for watt usage. Am using for summer in my track lighting to replace hot halogen lights to reduce air conditioning load. Very happy with purchase as long as they last a reasonable time.

Cons: 1 of the 4 did not work. trust Newegg will take care of the problem. Never had a problem with the Egg that wasn't resolved to my satisfaction.

Other Thoughts: Happy that I took the chance to try these out on a deal at 6.99. If they last as long as they are supposed to at 11.99 still a good deal>

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Bright, cool, and probably a lot more efficient than halogens. Also should last a lot longer before burning out.

Cons: NA

Other Thoughts: Got them on sale with free shipping. Newegg rocks as always.

3 out of 5 eggsWeak and greenish

Pros: Reasonably priced when discounted to $12. Construction seems sturdy, though the heat sink is not metal as you would think; it's painted metallic (probably ceramic - I hope).

Cons: At 3 watts, you are going to need a LOT of these to light up a room. The specs say 35 watt equivalent - I'd say more like 15 watts when you factor in the narrow angle. Bought 3 of them - are they even close to the output of a ~100 watt bulb (35 x 3)? Probably closer to a 40 watt bulb when arrayed together.

The light of the Rosewill RLLB-12001 is not the familiar bluish white of cheap LEDs; unfortunately, it goes too far in the opposite direction, offering pretty much what you get a with a quality CFL, but no better.

Pretend metallic heat sink (see above).

Other Thoughts: I could see these being decent balance for pure white or cool white walls, but off white in the traditional sense (warm, cream, etc.) is going to cast a greenish tint no better than a full-spectrum CFL.

5 out of 5 eggsgood light

Pros: -great light output
-cool, almost no heat
-low energy consumption
-solid built

Cons: -warm white ? -not at all
-split second lag, but no big deal

Other Thoughts: -these bulbs are just great, I live in Florida and trust me these things saved my life in the kitchen, because when I used 6 of regular bulbs, they produced so much heat in a small kitchen it wasnt even funny, now I dont even have to turn these on and off often because they take only like 4W so im using 24 W instead 240W !!!
- I had to replace regular bulbs about every 6 months what was not only annoying but expensive , these run 6 months + and still good
- the light is not warm white its more like bright white, but Im Ok with that
-the light output is decent, I didnt trust LED technology to replace regular bulbs but this is close enough
-you can get these as low as 7 $ a piece when on sale an let me tell You when it comes to lifespan/energy saving/heat producing , these things are win/win/win

4 out of 5 eggsWish I took 2 bulbs

Pros: I hate to brag as I just put one in service, uh, the only one I bought.

I was skeptical. I am still skeptical. I only can muster $7.00 of skepticism.

I was enamored by the heavy build of these bulbs but that could be their Achilles heel. I keep waiting for the axe to keep slipping lower and lower inch by inch. This torture is intense. I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

OK....in five years I will be happy.

The sale price was too good to be true. I keep waiting for the next shoe to fall as so often happens with online purchases.

Cons: I will let you know.

Weirded out by the base. I got Edison Screw Bases adapters at about $1.50/ea.

These bulbs are not 100% cool.

Other Thoughts: no.

2 out of 5 eggs3W GU10 Base LED Bulbs

Pros: Cost @ $7 each,
Fast delivery, cool to the touch compared to the incandescent bulb that it replaced.

Cons: The 3 Watt GU10 base bulbs just aren't as bright as the bulbs they are to replace. The comment after replacing all 4 of them in the kitchen was "It's too dark in here". I replaced two of the 4 bulbs to ease the lighting situation. Perhaps the 5.5W bulbs would be the right choice if the cost came down.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Lights

Pros: These lights perfectly match the GU10/MR16 base and lamp.

Lamp color is pretty warm, not the typical blue from LED.

Cons: Not quite as warm as standard halogen, can tell the difference, but they are close enough.

Would consider the output to be a little less than 35w equivalent.

Cons not worth dropping an egg.

Other Thoughts: I would, and have, bought them again. I hope they last their rated hours, only time will tell...

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Light bulbs seem to be well made. They are the correct dimensions for GU10 standard, unlike some other bulbs that are talller than the standard GU10 fixture, and stick out. These fit perfectly.

Cons: The light is not warm white as indicated, but rather has a green tint to it. I have warm white light bulbs from other brands and those are very close in color to warm white incandescant.

Other Thoughts: I hope these last as long as they are advertized to last. I have had other non-branded bulbs die on me after 30-45 days, right outside of the return window from the retailer.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Upgrade

Pros: I already had some LED lights from a couple years ago with like 30 LEDs in them. They were really dim though. When I had them in my kitchen light fixture, it felt like I was in a cave! Really bad.

These are MUCH brighter, like 5 times as bright as before. The technology and price have come a long way, and I am definitely satisfied with the upgrade. On a scale of 1-10, I was at a 2 with my previous LED lights. Now I would rate it at about a 7-8. The bulbs are cool to the touch, but warm colored - not overly yellow and not too white/blue either. It is a whitish-yellowish light.

If you were waiting to get LEDs until the technology improved and price dropped, this is it. The time is finally here.

Cons: If I could change anything about these lights, I would make them have a wider beam. These do spread considerably - not a narrow spotlight for an art gallery, but they don't blast as wide as a halogen. I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase and will buy them again, if I have more fixtures that need GU10. If they make the same light with a wider spread, I will give them a shot instead though.

Other Thoughts: Really happy to see this quality of LED light available for under $15 each.

NICE JOB, ROSEWILL!
