I use two to adequately light the lvg rm....14w with great indirect light off the ceiling from out the top of two table lamps/shades.....very good! Leave it on an hour and screw it out. It is that cool running. No heat no watts burned....is that mathe right? I guess you do not need an engineering degree to understand the math is correct. Pros: In contrast to the other review I thought the light output was very similar to a 60W incandescent bulb that I had on nearby, not cool but tending toward yellow. I haven't bothered to put my light meter on the bulb but it was bright enough for my purpose. I have a desk lamp that we leave on constantly so the primary reason for trying this LED lamp was for longevity and low electricity use. I don't think I would have paid the regular price but the sale price made it tempting to try. Rated for 25,000 hours which is about 2.85 years of constant use. Feels right on the edge of cool tilting more towards cool. Also comparable more to a 900 lumens than the 550. Other Thoughts: I'm still keeping it. Just not what I expected. When you find something you like, buy bulk because it is difficult to match anything with new technology CFLs and LEDs. 2 out of 2 people found this review helpful. Did you?
