Pros: Have been using these for a few months now. Very bright!

Cons: Only drawback is it takes a couple seconds for them to come on.

Pros: Works until it doesnt

Cons: Made it almost a year when bulbs started flashing on off on off.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps newer model will last longer than these ones.

5 out of 5 eggsBright and tough!

Pros: Like how bright this bulb is but what I really like is how resilient it is. I put one in a pole lamp and it tipped over just after installing it. As I watched it fall I thought to myself "well there goes an expensive little accident", but it didn't break! Let's see any other bulb out there do THAT!

Cons: No cons yet.

Other Thoughts: I rather like the look of the LED bulb.

4 out of 5 eggsNot for use in totally enclosed fixtures

Pros: Seem bright, I like the CCT, usual LED benefits (low energy usage, long life, no mercury)

Cons: Warning on box and on bulb not shown online - Not for use in totally enclosed fixtures - and that is where I had intended to use them. Bummed me out, but I'm giving them a shot in other fixtures. Made in China.

Other Thoughts: Insignificant (IMO) differences from specs shown in overview lighting facts although same model number.. uses 6.8 watts, efficacy 88, CRI 73, CCT 5400 - and output shown on 1 side of box is 595 lumens, another 610 +/- 10%.

2 out of 5 eggsUgly and causes sleep problems

Pros: It's an LED lamp, so it will be efficient and last a while. The price is acceptable for you and me.

Cons: The color rendering index (CRI) or "color accuracy" is absolutely atrocious. With 70 CRI, you can expect every red color to look brown-grey with this bulb. This is stressful on your eyes and it is unpleasant as a lighting solution. Real LEDs do not have 70 CRI. They have much higher CRI (85 to 100). These are cheapos. Avoid them.

Also, the color temperature, "daylight," (6500 Kelvin) is NOT good for your mental health. If you use these bulbs at night, you will have sleep problems, because this bulb fools your brain into thinking that the sun is still out, even when it's 9 or 10 pm at night. Now, imagine this bulb staying on while you do homework until 1 AM. You are ruining your circadian rhythms. Do not abuse your Suprachiasmatic Nucleus (SCN). You won't like what happens. Believe me. I can't get to sleep before 2 or 4 AM any more.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Bulbs

Pros: It Saves you money. Prob not really going to notice difference in savings, but makes me feel like I'm saving a tree. Bright, daylight color works well to light a 20'x15' room.

Cons: None really, guess they were a little cheaper but that would be me being a cheap bas-tar|).

Other Thoughts: Makes you feel like your saving the world. oh they also dont get really hot a plus for the summer. Dont really see what tech level has to do with light bulbs. But i guess i was smart enough to screw it in.

5 out of 5 eggsgood led's

Pros: they work and seam to have a very very nice light for my daughters bathroom

Cons: no cons but I am hoping to see the price on led's go down soon

Other Thoughts: I tried another brand and they had loose bases so I bought these and they work. If they last as long as claimed it will be nice as I am putting these everywhere my girls leave lights on at.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasently surprised

Pros: They are bright and white. They actually appear brighter than the new 60W equivalent CFL (11W) bulbs that they replaced in 1 room, and the 60W incandescent bulbs they replaced in another room. This might be an optical illusion since both the incandescent and CFL had more of a warm yellow tint, and these are just intense white, but I love them. No warm up time like CFLs. For reading or working at a desk or computer, these are great.

Cons: They are still a bit pricy.

Made in China.

Other Thoughts: Others have complained that the snow-cone shape of these bulbs causes too much directionality. They are more directional than an incandescent bulbs, but I don't see it as a problem, and I don't think it is any worse than with a CFL.

These are extremely bright, and blinding to look at, so they might not be ideally suited for a downward facing desk lamp. A lower wattage bulb might be more appropriate for this application.
