2 out of 5 eggsdisappointing

Pros: Still working, appears brighter than the 40W equivalent CFL it replaced.

Cons: Surprising delay to light, consumes nearly the power of CFL (6w instead of 7w). For LED, I expect instant-on and *much* lower power consumption compared to CFL. Otherwise, why pay more?

Other Thoughts: Haven't noticed significant benefit over CFL. Costs more. When one quits I will disassemble it to inspect circuitry, especially whether it's LED or CFL. Unsure how it's wired, but I'm so mystified by the behavior that I wonder if it's a CFL with the customary high-voltage starting circuitry. Recently flickered, just like CFL. If it's not CFL in disguise, perhaps it has voltage/current regulation typical of CFL.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: I replaced my 40W track bulb with this. It works far better than expected. Functions slight brighter than the old bulb but it's just as easy on the eyes.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsLED Tech bulbs and energy efficiency and durability

Pros: Energy efficiency and durability, works in existing fixtures. Light quality is good and turns on quickly. Kill-a-watt shows 4.8 to 4.9 watts and light output was comparable to a 40 watt incandescent bulb, but with visually the same light output.

Cons: Warranty is less than the projected life, so time will tell how long it lasts.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap kinda

Cons: will not work with electronic switches --keeps flickering
Cannot be used with outside fixtures - is not rain proof
Slight delay to power up

Other Thoughts: Wait until they get cheaper or pick up better ones in a costco sale

5 out of 5 eggsNice Lights Newegg Trick

Pros: I am giving five starts because the product is good for that price.

Cons: However, NewEgg had it as a buy one get one, making them $5 each in my mind, cheaper than I can bring them in from China direct with my much better LED Grow Lights. When I only received the 5 of what I thought was 10, the NewEgg rep said it needed to be purchased with a combo special

Other Thoughts: I have spent 1000s of dollars in a dozen years with NewEgg and I know how to look at the "too good" offers and the add, in the title clearly said BUY ONE GET ONE FREE, there was no fine print that said too get a buy one get one needed to be in a combo deal. SHOW ME ONE other offer they have ever done this with. Buy something and get this break in a combo, yes. What was the COMBO, they would not tell me. Maybe one needed to buy a lamp shade? It cost them money, as I have not been as loyal since. Spend my money, when possible at the Growl animal other place. Not a lion but a ....

5 out of 5 eggsNice bulbs.

Pros: Much lighter heatsink than the 7w bulbs I bought previously makes this a good option for ceiling fans.

Cons: Didn't buy more.

Other Thoughts: The delay when powering on is quicker than waiting for my old CFL's to warm up.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: About equal to a 40 watt incandescent, as described.
No heat.
Very pure and even light.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There is a slight delay, maybe a full second (as opposed to a delay of <.5 seconds with other bulbs) - not a big deal.

Great black Friday deal at $5 each. I purchased 10 and gave them out as xmas presents
