3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Design and case are very nice, light are very bright if it get enough lights and last overnight.

Cons: solar panel are not water tight and leak inside compartment which can be a problem.

Other Thoughts: they need to put water tight seal around solar panel

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good if on sale

Pros: Excellent soft white light production. They cover a larger area in my opinion than many solar landscape lights.

The first day I installed them (I live in Arizona where the sun is plentiful) They came on at dusk and stayed on all night.
I will see how long it takes the batteries to weaken, but running all night initially is an excellent start.

These are a bargain at the 60% off price I got them for. I would have been irritated if they had actually been $10 each and had this flimsy base and spike. But they were only $4 something each... so yeah that is a bargain for these. They seem like a very good light.

Cons: The base and ground spike are made of plastic. So is the top piece, but the tube is steel. The base that the spike goes into, and the spike itself are too flimsy for this design.
They base or spike break fairly easily.

Use the large flat head screwdriver suggestion someone else made in their review. It is a requirement or you will break them.
This is a pretty easy thing fix as I describe below. The rest of the light seems pretty nicely made, so I did not really ding these for that.

Other Thoughts: The Easy Fix: Replace the base and spike with a piece of 2 inch PVC pipe works great. Just saw one end off at a 45 to 60 degree angle to make the spike. Pound that into the ground (use a 2x4 wood board as an anvil over the pipe when pounding it in or it will break) Leave about 2 inches above ground, slide the light down over the pipe.

Note:
You have to sand down the end of your 2 inch pvc where you want it to go into the light housing. But you do not have to do much sanding.
The inside diameter of the metal tube of the light is 1.95 inches. So you do not have to do much to have a nice snug fit, and much better mount than the one provided.

Make sure you prefit each light with its base before pounding them into the ground. There is minor variability in pvc pipe and in these tubes also I am sure.

You can even add a self drilling sheetmetal locking screw down low if you want it super secure.

5 out of 5 eggsgrat path lights

Pros: give off a nice bright white light that lasts as long as stated.
These lights look great and do a great job at lighting up a path. I'm using in my long driveway and they work great. Even though they are blocked from direct sunlight for most of the day from trees, they still brighten up my path. Awesome product. Getting more for the back yard.

Cons: a bit large, but some may like that fact.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks nice

Pros: Soaks up sun and makes light useful for marking paths in low lighting.

Cons: Probably not as bright as I may wish, but they still work and do their job illuminating a path in your back yard per say.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if worth the 40$ tag

Cons: Hasn't recharged/relight since the first night. :-( Newegg wants me to pay $14 return shipping for $19 order. Guess I'm stuck with them,

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome! Recommended! Buy!

Pros: My tech knowledge may be "5 stars" but nothing techy here! These solar powered lawn lights are awesome in my backyard. They give off good, lasting LED light that is actually fairly soft (which is nice) but illuminates plenty well, and also lasts about 8 hours on a full charge. Setup was really easy- the batteries were all installed, I just had to flip to the on position and attach the pointed base that they stand in the ground on. The price though, was LUDICROUSLY low. If they only gave off 45 minutes of light I would still recommend them for the balance of quality and price. I fee like this is, across the board, one of the best deals I've found in ages, seriously!

Cons: the plastic bases- the "pointed base" i mention above, are the only cost to such inexpensive items. While the lights (i guess actually there is plastic up top too) and housing themselves are stainless steel, the base is kind of cheap plastic. I broke one i as tried pushing it into the ground. HOWEVER- after that, I just got out a long flathead screwdriver, shoved it into the earth to loosen it a bit, and all of the other ones went in without trouble at all.
Additionally, there's almost no way to ensure these won't get snatched up out of your front lawn unless you have a gate or fence- I recommend them for backyard around a patio, and some more permanent ones out front. Nevertheless, the light housing itself sits high off the ground, so you could easily pour a little concrete and have even the stainless steel shaft set into it without functional issues. If you buried the shaft 2 inches into concrete, your light would probably sit about 6-7 inches off of the ground, and is itself about 3 inches tall- seems like it would work to me!

Other Thoughts: Newegg tells me I wrote more characters in the "cons" than in the "pros" but the point is BUY THESE THINGS THEY ARE AMAZING CAPS IS NECESSARY TO EXPRESS THIS. My cons are more like tips, and you will enjoy owning these. Rosewill always seems to deliver quality- I just didn't expect it on something that goes in my lawn instead of in my tower!
