2 out of 5 eggsI don't care for it.

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: Dull looking.

Glare without the 'pop' you associate with glossy paper.

Canned Epson ICCs do not work well with it - you'll have to do a lot of experimenting (and waste a lot of ink/paper in the process)

Other Thoughts: I see someone claiming they ordered one thing and got something else - S041271 has never been a double sided paper. I think the customer made a mistake. On the other-hand, Epson has had a bad habit of re-naming their paper and creating lots of confusion.

I've used this paper with three Epson pigment ink printers (UltraChrome and Durabrite and Durabrite Ultra. Plus, an non OEM set of pigment inks). Matter-of-fact, I tried it years ago with an Epson dye ink printer - can't remember the results - but probably a little better than pigment ink.

The paper has too much of a glare without having the 'pop' that you associate with a somewhat glossy paper. Shadows are dull, in fact, the paper over-all has a dull foggy look to it.

It shows off the unwanted Epson 'pizza wheel tractor marks'.

Anyway, although Epson recommends this for the Epson C88, it looks pretty crummy. It's a little better in my Epson 2200 - but I had to make a custom ICC.

There's better choices.

1 out of 5 eggsEpson Glossy Photo Paper

Pros: Ordering from Newegg is fantastic if you receive what you order. They are swift in processing their order and I have always been happy.

Cons: I ordered Epson Glossy Photo Paper SOO41271 as pictured in Newegg online catalog.I was excited to find this same photo paper I had been using for over 5 years. I ran out at Christmas and reordered from another company & they did not have it pictured in the catalog. I received 5 Epson Photo Paper Glossy SO41271. This is not the same as the Glossy Photo Paper and does not have the same claims even though it has the same order number. I have used the Glossy Photo Paper for all my greeting and holiday cards & it was fantastic. The product received cannot be folded nor can you print on both sides as I was able to do with the Glossy Photo Paper. I was so excited to see the same packaging for the Glossy Photo Paper on the Newegg site and immediately ordered 5 boxes to make sure I didn't run out. I was very disappointed that it was substituted with the Epson Photo Paper Glossy. This is not what I ordered and I feel that I should have received the same item as pictured.

Other Thoughts: I feel I should have been contacted if what I ordered (as pictured) was not available and that they were going to replace it with new packaging and indeed different photo paper. Even the clarity of the printing on the glossy side is not a good as the Epson Glossy Photo Paper. Therefore, I am having to ship the 5 boxes back to Newegg. I have ordered before from Newegg and received products that were ordered and had no problems. This was a big dissappointment to me. Wrong for Epson to repackage a product with the same Order #SO41271 and for the paper to be different.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Paper for Canon and Epson Printers

Pros: Price, image quality and longevity. I use these papers with my Canon Pixma 6000 and the results are fantastic every bit as good as the Canon Paper Pro that came with the printer. Of course you'll have to spend some time calibrating your monitor and fine tuning your printer to achieve optimal results.

Cons: At 20c per page none.

Other Thoughts: Only papers that come close to these as regards price/performance are Kirland's and Ilfords'.
