XCLIO took two facts into consideration when designing the A380BK. First, today’s systems run hotter than ever before and therefore need better cooling. Second, the larger the fan the more air moved with less noise. Instead of messing around with smaller fans they installed two 250mm monsters, one on the front and one on the side. These seven bladed powerhouses can move over 150cfm at maximum speed at only 32.1dB. A speed control lets you adjust the fan speed as needed.

And you’ll need that cooling power if you fully load out the case. There are five external 5.25” and one 3.5” external and seven 3.5” internal bays. And they’re all tool-less for easy installation. The tool-less convenience extends to the expansions slots which have a locking hold down to make installing and swapping cards fast and easy.

The case’s large size allows it to support E-ATX motherboards at 12”x13”. This makes it a great box for servers or data farms.

  • newegg Excellent Expandability with 13 Drive Bays Boasting five external 5.25" drive bays, one external and up to seven internal 3.5" drive bays, the XCLIO A380BK provides superb expandability.
  • newegg Excellent Cooling Performance The XCLIO A380BK features two enormous blue LED 250 mm fans on the front and side panels for great heat dissipation of the CPU and hard drives with a VR fan speed control to achieve optimum cooling performance with minimum noise.
  • newegg E-ATX Motherboard Support The XCLIO A380BK supports multiple motherboard form factors including the Intel P4, AMD K7, K8 micro ATX and ATX form factors as well as the MP dual-CPU E-ATX server motherboard (12’x13’). This remarkable level of motherboard compatibility is perfect for computer system upgrades.
  • newegg Tool-less Installation With the tool-less rail kit, installation of 5.25" and 3.5" hard drives is convenient and quick.
  • newegg 1.0mm SECC The XCLIO A380BK features a 1.0mm-thick SECC (Single Edge Connector Cartridge) with steel coating for the minimum risk of damage to computer components inside.
  • newegg Convenient Top I/O Panel The convenient top I/O panel enables easy access to two USB 2.0 ports and one IEEE 1394 port.

2 out of 5 eggsLooks can be deceiving.

Pros: -Looks great
-I like blue
-Nice side panel
-Almost not terrible

Cons: -Very cheap feeling plastic on the front panel + side whatever those things are

-Fans went out on me in a little under a year, didn't bother replacing them because:

-Fans do not put much air out. You're better off going with a dual 120mm or 140mm front panel than 250mm anything. These things should be seen as aesthetically pleasing and nothing more.

-Side 250mm fan goes too far into the case and the case isn't large enough to fit larger heat sinks. My xigmatek dark knight 2 wouldn't fit so I had to mount the fan backwards and the outside of my case.

-Few cable routing options

-bad airflow in general. There's a lot of space inside the case that the air just kind of sits in and doesn't move.

-I don't like top mount PSU cases.

This one really really annoyed me. I wanted the side panel that showed off all of my parts to be facing me. I want to be able to see my parts and also see the codes from my motherboard while I'm using it. When I set it up to where the windowed panel is facing me, the door opens from the opposite side and I can't see my blu-ray drive.

Other Thoughts: It looks awesome, I regularly got positive comments on the looks while I was using it

I loved it at first, this was on my first build and I didn't realize the importance of a case

stayed cool until I started overclocking, airflow just couldn't keep up with the heat dissipation

You can find MUCH better for the price. I'd pay $30 for it but that's it.

5 out of 5 eggsstill going

Pros: Fans have never been oiled... Still working. A bad egg can ruin the bunch. It's been discontinued, but I wanted to give a testament to xclio for this case. It came with the 750 silver psu over 5 years ago and it's currently keeping my vishera at 35 and under over clocked to 4.4ghz. Never had a voltage issue yet, but after so long I'm sure it's just around the corner.

Cons: Ummm I broke a plastic foot off being an oaf

3 out of 5 eggsGood but be aware

Pros: cool looking design. nice tooless set up.

Cons: Parts of the case are very cheap feeling, but the biggest con of all is this case will not work with my current build for a customer. I have a COOLER MASTER RR-T812-24PK-R1 cpu cooler and the top of it hits that huge fan on the side. I can not put the side cover back on it. Will be either finding a new case or a new cooler.

Other Thoughts: I think this case would be great if the side fan had been thought out a little better to consider the size of new air coolers.

5 out of 5 eggsA Good Case for the money

Pros: I have owned this case for three years and its still doing great. The two large fans do move a lot of air. I have to clean everything out about twice a year being a smoker and a gamer. I did have the front fan fail on me after 2.5 years but Xclios support team are great about getting the parts you need shipped to you and quite cheaply to boot. For the most part its a conversation piece having two giant fans sets you apart from 95% of all cases. This case is also as big as it gets. I have a large aftermarket tower cooler for the cpu "Cooler Master" and plenty of room for a Radeon HD 7950. Thats something because I have not seen a larger vid card.

Cons: Trying to sleep with the large LED blue fan spinning may give you nightmares.

Other Thoughts: Its a large sturdy case that is supported well from there staff in china. Its really a conversation starter for the most part. Most people that were disappointed are most likely goobers jacking around with the case too much or don't understand things very well.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy it.

Pros: Outstanding case!
Good layout with lots of room.
Clip in drives are handy and durable.
Decent cable management.
Overall durability is superb. I literally dropped this case with components inside down 5 stone porch steps. The feet broke off, but everything else has been fine for three years.
Lighting still going strong, and everyone who sees it comments on how cool it is.
Cooling is outstanding, I can't stress that enough.

Cons: Little feet are flimsy, but unnecessary and bulky.
Case is less than friendly to lug around: it's a little topheavy, the fan duct on the front and the frontside usb mount on top both make it ungainly.
You must disassemble the front portion of the case to clear dust properly, and it is less than a simple procedure at times.
As you can see, I'm scraping the barrel for complaints: This case has been loyal, absorbed abuse without complaint, kept my critical components cool, and been the envy of all for >3 years. Buy it

Other Thoughts: My wholehearted recommendation goes to this case, buy it.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

Pros: - Beautiful Looking Case
- Very Roomy internal
- Really good access to all internal components, with thumbscrews to remove the plexiglass side.
- Lots of Bays for Disk and Hard Drives, as well as PCI ports on the back.
- Really useful drive sliders that connect to a drive and make adding/moving/removing drives a snap
- Neat internal storage compartment for unused snap slides and any other bit or bauble.
- Fantastic airflow with the two major fans - for a long time I didn't even bother with a case fan on the back, and I never once overheated.

Cons: - After several years of constant wear, the side fan finally broke, but I simply bought a new one and it works just fine. Considering the fact that I never turn my machine off, that fan probably had 30,000+ hours of use on it before it actually failed, so I hardly consider that a real con.
- The case is so huge that it's actually difficult to maneuver around. If you move a lot, it's a pain in the posterior - that's why I got a desk with a big side panel to put the computer on, so that I never have to move it.

Other Thoughts: I've had this case for almost 6 years. I love it. I've upgraded nearly all of the internal bits (PSU, MoBo, GPU, CPU, HDD) but I have absolutely no desire for any other case. It's stylish, functional, and completely awesome. This is the best computer case I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I cannot recommend it enough.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, Runs cool and unique look

Cons: Fans need oiling every 5 months or so and the side fan is dying. No filters. If you have a big cooler the side fan will get in the way

Other Thoughts: If you can spend a little more and gamble with something else, otherwise good for a budget build.
