3 out of 5 eggsGood ideas, bad execution

Pros: Roomy case with the potential for good airflow. Has nice rubber grommits for water hoses, too. Looks great, hits all the checkboxes (tool-less drive mounts, rails, clips, filters, magnetic doors, potentiometers, front ports). I like that the metal bay shields are not breakaway but instead can be unscrewed and later put back in place for proper RF shielding. 1.0 mm steel thickness and no sharp edges to be found. The three front independent fan doors are a great idea and lets me put in hot-swap bays without having to look for (and worry about extra power for) bays with integrated fans. The size of those fans are large enough that I can move a good amount of air with a minimum of extra noise, and all case fans have an independent speed control.

Cons: Poor execution on most of the above checkboxes. The rail mounts are just posts and use friction to stay in place. Not very secure and the posts come out. The clips for the rails to the chassis are hard to reach. Comes with two "3 blocK" covers and 6 single covers for the 5.25" bays, but only the single covers have foam filters. Also, the single covers are not compatible with the 3.5" drive bays, and vice versa, since the mounting bracket shares the clips! Big wire bundle was loomed but it was hanging down right from the center of the top bay, instead of routed sensibly down the side or something. The drive bays are shared and in blocks, so really you can have external bays to internal bay ratios of only: 3:12, 6:8, 9:4. The rubber strips meant to dampen PS noise push the screw holes outside the tolerance with the case. It's as if it wasn't really prototyped at all. It's extremely hard to mount 3.5" drives into the cradles: you have to flex the plastic around them.

Other Thoughts: This case was never intended to be shipped, evidently. It was designed by someone who isn't really an engineer. When it arrived, it was significantly damaged, and, upon opening, it was easy to see why. Absolutely pathetic amount of padding and foam. All the plexiglass is held in place with very narrow and brittle plastic standoffs (into which metal screws are inserted: abhorrent design). The thumbscrews in the back are plastic-covered metal and will eventually have similar plastic/metal interface issues.

If I wasn't on a deadline and didn't need something with good front bay cooling for my 24/7 home server, I would have sent this back and gotten a different case. There was JUST enough right with it to make me to begrudgingly keep it.

4 out of 5 eggsxclio

Pros: this is one of the biggest cases i have ever worked with lots of room for everything under the sun lots of fans and nice lighting on them easy to put everything u need in them

Cons: wish the fans ran a bit faster not keepping my motherboard with my 2 vid cards cool enough for my taste had to add back fans helped out alot the legs seem a little cheap in fact mine broke the first week fan controls seem a little cheaply made for that price was hopeing for better but all in all a good case just wish the fans put out more air

Other Thoughts: hope the cons dont stop u from buying this case its really nice just seems for that price u would get the rear fans for free and the other fans would put out better air flow and a nicer fan controler would be a big plus

5 out of 5 eggsSuper Tower!!!

Pros: Too many to list. Plenty of room. 8-180mm fans with the option for two 120mm rear fans. Looks GREAT! Lots of room for devices....3-5.25 bays and 3 bays that hold 4 HDD each. 4 HDD EACH = 12 HDD's....WHY? Server? Lots of music and vids? The 3 HDD bays are removable to allow for 3 more 5.25 bays each, thats a total of 12-5.25 available bays!!! You could use a 5.25 for a 3.5 and have like 6-5.25's, 3-3.5's and 4 HDD's or what ever combo you what....so many options. Front Panel snaps off for easy access to "break away" bay covers that need to be unscrewed witch is nice cuz you can replace them if needed. Snap off front cover is nice for other things too like painting (see cons) or bay configurations. What els....cable management, anti-vibration P/S mounts, fan controlers with on/off switch, LED on/off switch, top mounted audio/USB/FireWire/E-SATA/power & reset switch, eccessories come in two NICE bags like what Crown Royal come in.....THIS IS THE CASE TO GET!!!!!!

Cons: I DO NOT REVIEW BROKEN OR NON WORKING EQUIPMENT. That is not what a review is for. a review is for telling people how good or bad a working product is and eggs should not be deducted from a non working product, only a working product that is not perfect. See other thoughts for my issues. I do have a few nit pics however. The inside is not black. Aside from the snap-away front panel, dis-assymbly was a bit of a pain. For those of you who like to have a black inside and take your case appart to paint it, (i use one coat of flat black spray type) this will be a chore, mainly the top fan. The top pan was screwd to the top befor it was rivited to the frame so two of the screws are out of reach due to frame configuration. I thought I may have to drill (holes would be out of sight when put together) but I was able to use a thin flat head and slowely "wheasle" the screw out and I didn't replace them as they were not needed. Top fan controllers feel flimsy. No side window.

Other Thoughts: Awsome customer service. My case came with a broken wire from the power switch (i think I did it from taking the front panel off so many time and not being carfull). I didn't want to RMA it and figured I would just contact Xcilo (by email) to see if they sold replacement parts. I told them the wire was broke too close to the base of the switch to be soldered back on and I didn't want to RMA it, that I would rather buy the parts and fix it my self. They sent me a email replay the same day, asked for some info like product name, shipping address, invoice#, purchase date and photo's if possible to validate waranty. I sent it all the next day, two days later they replyed "We already sent the power and reset switch to you yesterday, you will received it in 10-12 days..bla..bla..bla.. It was that easy, and I told them I would pay for it to fix it my self!! They sent the power and a reset witch (same witch type) so now i will have a backup part. Who does that in a few days? navydad3athotmail

1 out of 5 eggsgood luck

Pros: Nice lights lots of fans lots of space...

Cons: The first one i got was broken so i returned it and they shipped me another right away and the second one just like the first one had the bottom bashed in and broken :/
not to mention the fan control knobs are lose and cheaply made.

Other Thoughts: looks nice but good luck getting one that isn't busted :/
It is not Newegg's fault Xclio just made a cheep case with poor packaging :/
Newegg was very quick about fixing the situation for me

5 out of 5 eggsMonstrosity.

Pros: There's a LOT of room to work with. Cable management was pretty easy (I don't do well with that generally). 8 fans keeps this thing cool and smooth. Drive installation was a breeze. All fan LEDs can be toggled on or off. My friends see it and are instantly jealous. Overall a good purchase.

Cons: Doesn't come with a rear system fan. The top 2 fans are the only ones that pump air out, so if you're planning on gaming and such, I'd recommend getting one or two 120mm fans for your rear panel to help heat output.

Other Thoughts: Fan controls on top work fine, but seem a bit awkward. Also, I had to move my desk a bit to fit this thing next to it, since it wouldn't fit on top!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This case is absolutely huge. It does have cable management with two holes in the Motherboard panel of the case which allows for great air flow. 8 fans for great air cooling. There are also two additional fan slots in the back for in air flow and out exhaust.

Cons: It is extremely heavy. Once I got everything installed I would say this case weighs about 80 lbs. Not a big deal if you plan on leaving it stationary but it does make it anti-portable.

4 out of 5 eggswow

Pros: MASSIVE, my buddy had a full tower, assumed be that size.... i was wrong, this isnt a full tower its a super tower. its huge... the side and top fans have good air flow. looks really sexy

Cons: the front intake isnt the best.... the grill holes are 2 small, and there are 2 of them. then a 3rd to cover hdd took them out. the fan speed is 500 rpm to 1000 rpm. wish it came with 1500,

Other Thoughts: CHEck to see if you have room to put it in ur house.....

5 out of 5 eggsthis is a great case

Pros: This is one sweet case. To say that this case is huge wouldn't do it justice. All 8 of the fans work along with all the controllers for them (there are 5 controllers in total, one for each of the front fans one for the side fans and one for the top set)
This case also has a pretty good cable management system going on even though it can get a bit tight behind the motherboard tray if you use long cables.

Cons: This may not be a con for some but if you get a modular PSU like the thermaltake 850, the PCIe power cables are almost to short to reach a second graphics card should you put on in this case.

The HD racks that have the aluminum heat sink in them are a bit of a tight fit to actually put HD's in but once that is done its all smooth sailing.

Other Thoughts: Other than this case being awesome there really isn't much else to say, I would gladly get another one of these cases but next time I may chose a different PSU just to make sure that the cables are long enough to reach the bottom of the case which is a pretty good distance to be inside a case.

4 out of 5 eggsHuge

Pros: This is a Huge Case. Plenty of room and ability for future expansions. Fans are nice and quiet.

Cons: Feet seem somewhat cheap, fan controls seem cheaply put together. No fans on the back of the case. With so many fans on the case already I thought there would be more air movement, but not noticing much.

Other Thoughts: Great overall case just a few things that could be changed.

5 out of 5 eggsThis case is a BEHEMOTH!

Pros: This case is absolutely massive. For those of us for whom cooling is the primary focus when looking for a case but don't want to start using liquid cooling just yet, this case is perfect. The case is incredibly solid considering is size and i was skeptical about the controls on the top of the case but it works for it well. Cable management is a dream, there are a couple bars about 2/3 of the way up the case that work fantastically with the zip ties included. None of the pictures on NE do the front panel justice. Each of the fans on the front panel open and close independently of each other. This case is just plain fantastic.

Cons: First off the thumb screws on the back of the case come with this bizarre black plastic coating on them, which if your going to be working on your case frequently are irritating beyond belief. Easily fixed with an exact-o knife or a razor blade.

Next, when you buy a new case you typically get it with a set of breakaway panels just behind the front panel. Typically these break away panels are only broken away when your going to use the slots. However, with this case it makes sense to break them all away to let the fans better cool the case. Unfortunately they aren't break away but instead secured by screws that when you remove them you have about a 50/50 chance of losing a screw into a black hole that appears somewhere in the case.

The light on of switches for the front panel fans are a bit awkwardly placed.

Other Thoughts: When you buy this case, and you will because its fantastic, know that you will not be moving it around often. This thing is easily 50+ lbs after i adorned it with the rest of its hardware.

perhaps a good idea would be optional wheels for the bottom?

Would have been nice if the fan's LEDs could have selectable colors
