Who says that cases have to be plain and boring? In Win's Allure MicroATX case has a white finish with a floral design accented with Swarovski crystals. Underneath the attractive skin is a very efficient interior that makes building the system a snap.
The 2x5.25" external bays have a pin locking system to easily mount your optical drives. One of the 2 external 3.5" bays also uses a pin system. The 2 bay hard drive cage swings out for easy installation. That's not all that swings out. The side panel releases at the push of a button.
Underneath is a patented Vortex air duct that takes advantage of the large perforated area on the side panel to increase air flow to the CPU. There is a 90mm rear fan to increase overall airflow within the case. With the Allure In Win combines both style and substance.

The good, bad and... the pretty?
- Pros: Used this case when building a system for my aunt. She saw the pretty flowers and just HAD to have this case. Pretty it is. If this case was any more girly, it would need a skirt and a new pair of shoes. But I digress.
I must admit, it's a nice looking case. Bright white, pretty flowers, cute little sparkles and a raise up; drive door instead of one that opens off to the side.
- Cons: Tho the case looks nice, I do have some negative feedback for it. The back panel is supposed to be designed so that you can rout all of your cables towards the bottom of the system to help eliminate mess. I all of the cords were stressed and bent downward at a sharp 90 degree angle, put way too much strain on the cords, connectors and motherboard. I advise you not to use this feature. The patented vortex air flow contraption seems totally useless with no use other than to block/restrict airflow within the case. No attachments for a fan and no place to mount a fan on the side panel of the case, I took out this "vortex" thing and left it out. Front drive cover seems flimsy and doesn't seem to be designed to last long. Owners manual stunk.
- Other Thoughts: I had some other minor complications with this case, so I give it 3 stars for being "pretty". Might be worth mentioning there's no reset button. It's a micro, so there's not much cooling.
Also, I made the mistake of purchasing a microatx power supply for this microatx case, but it didn't fit. I had to exchange the power supply for a full ATX size unit.
Front cover
- Pros: My wife loves this case, she cant wait to get it to her office. Guys Valentines Days is coming, you will be a winner if you use this case.
- Cons: Not all CD drives may not fit. I used a Sony that had it's name plate sticking out on the front of the drive. This problem stops you from closing the drop down door all the way. Luckily the Sony name plate was just a stick on kind, just peeled it off.

Decent case, HORRIBLE documentation!
- Pros: Solid construction, gorgeous, toolless install systems for drive and expansion cards are well thought-out and work well
- Cons: Fiddly drive bay cover, cramped interior (to be expected in this form factor), misleading documentation can lead to hardware damage
- Other Thoughts: The documentation on this thing is horrible. Not only is it extremely sparse, but it can lead to severe hardware damage. According to the documentation, the front-mounted USB ports are individual 1x4 header plugs, and the front-mounted Firewire port is a blue 2x5 header plug. However, on my actual case, the Firewire is a black 2x5 header and the USB is a blue 2x5 header! If I hadn't caught the mistake, I could have fried a few peripherals and possibly a motherboard there!
It's a good case, to be certain, but proceed with caution.
All frill, no fill!
- Pros: Very attractive case- the ladies love it. The non-plastic parts are very sturdy, and it attempts to have tool-less operation...attempts. I appreciate the positioning of the drive cages- I can fit a 5870 in here, and did so with no heat issues.
- Cons: All the nifty features of this case broke or were more of a hindrance within the first month I owned it. Very heavy! The flip-up optical drive cover mechanism broke so it no longer looks sleek- it kind of just flops up and makes a lot of noise. I use a USB OD anyway, but I had to scotch tape the drive cover down so it would stop flipping up on its own. In general, the plastic shrouds and such around the case are terrible quality. The back tab broke off on the bottom where the I/O switch is, so that was flopping all around as well. Although the metal chassis is strong, I never felt like my parts were safe in this box. Also- the tool-less drive bays and expansion-card slots are nice, but they generally require screws anyway. I even had seating issues with the 5870 when I tried to use the tool-less install, but when I used screws it was too much. Way more trouble than it is worth.
- Other Thoughts: Again, looks great, and I've heard awesome things about inwin in the past, but I would never recommend this case to anyone. I thought it would please my girlfriend to incorporate this into our home theatre setup, but she could care less, and I'm less a hundred bucks since I decided to give up on this awful case and use a thirty dollar basic ATX one instead. I wish so badly I could RMA and give one of inwin's more sensible cases a try, but I'm out of the return period. Oh well!
Picture Perfect
- Pros: 1. Beautiful
2. Solid Construction 3. Feminine (find me another case that's half as pretty as this one...) 4. Workable Design 5. Air Flow in smaller cases can be a problem, but this design forces as much air as possible directly to the processor
- Cons: 1. A bit small (you might be able to fit a big graphics card in here... but it'd be a real pain...)
2. The front panel flips up veryeasily. So when you're moving the case around just be careful you don't try to support the weight of the case on that panel. It WILL flip up, and you WILL feel stupid. 3. Gems are on the side of the case that you're going to be resting on whatever desk space you're using to work with the case. It is possible to damage the gems on the side and scratch the surface you're using unless you take care to lay a blanket or other soft surface underneath the case to protect both. 4. Motherboard was tricky to slide in place but it's workable.
- Other Thoughts: 1. Case can be annoying to work with (especially with all those power cables) so I *highly* recommend investing in a modular power supply
2. Two harddrive-sized bays; Two DVD-drive bays; 4 PCI slots available (good luck finding a micro-ATX board that has 4 PCI slots...)
All in all, a beautiful case that offers enough space to work with. It's solid and well-built, and makes a wonderful gift!
