4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Looks nice,4 USB Ports in front (2XUSB2 & 2XUSB3), Slim

Cons: Top/Side can be a bit of a pain to get on.

Other Thoughts: Solid Case for Micro ATX build. Included PSU is of good quality, I have built at least 50 PCs using this case in the last year and have only had 1 PSU be bad. Never had any problem with the switches or lights. Knocked an EGG off because the power leads from the PSU to MOBO need to be longer, its always a tight fit no matter what board I use. But, not enough of an issue to make me not like them.

Manufacturer Response:

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect size and features

Pros: Great size for an HTPC build and will look nice next to AV devices.

This case has plenty of room and will comfortably fit a full size mATX motherboard. Fan and PSU are whisper quiet and provide a nice cross ventilation. There are 3 SATA power connectors, 1 MOLEX, and 1 mini.

The 300w PSU also has support for 8-pin CPU power and should be enough power for most applications. Cable management is well thought out. Case features an Intuitive tool-less design for installing lone HDD, add on cards, and removal of 5.25"/3.5" devices.

Cons: Note: 3.5" bay will only fit enclosures no more than 3.5" deep so keep that in mind (I knew that), so it is not designed for HDD/SSD drives. It will fit smaller card readers and USB panels with ease.

Power LED is nuclear bright at night

Other Thoughts: Do your homework and research before purchasing and look at ALL the pictures. It is quite obvious that angled SATA ports and/or USB3 connectors will not have enough clearance with a full size mATX board. My MSI A78M-E45 fits great.

I plan on using the 5.25" bay with an iStarUSA T-5K225T-SA (or similar) to add a slim ODD and 2 removable 2.5" drives

Removing the lone fan will give you more room in the 3.5" bay but at the expense of needed cooling.

Why buy a mATX case for use with a mini-ITX MB then complain about size of the case?

3 out of 5 eggsIncompatible with MSI Z97 Motherboard

Pros: Seems like a quality case. If your motherboard is compatible it's as compact and professional looking as you can get in this form factor

Cons: Incompatible with MSI Z97 motherboard. There is NO clearance for the SATA connectors or the USB 3.0 header. Even if I modified the case (bend metal tabs supporting 3.5" drive) and removed plastic supporting 3.5" drive there would be no way to connect the front panel USB 3.0 connectors.

Other Thoughts: Very disappointing because this case had everything I was looking for.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost everything I was looking for

Pros: good solid case

Cons: see other

Other Thoughts: Good solid case. It was helpful to read the other reviews before setup of the case as this is a smaller case than I’ve built before and never would have found the 2.5-inch hard drive placement otherwise. All components and cabling fit for me (i5-4590S and GA-H97M-D3H). Using it as a home theater/pc setup and yes the white power light is way too bright -- especially in evenings with low lighting. The power button also requires a hard push to engage -- maybe when I shim the switch button I’ll also dim the white power light. My wish list for the case would be for it to have a 400watt ‘green’ ps (300w limits component choices), space for two 3.5-inch hard drives, better fan & venting -- the i5 has topped out at just over 60oC when pushed hard although generally runs at 37-47oC. The no-screw enclosures all worked, but seemed somewhat fragile -- would prefer screws or different click-in for some parts. Over all I like the case; it could be a little wider if needed for fan/vent, extra 3.5 drive, but no taller. It fits neatly as a cabinet top black e-box.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Love this case-- Aesthetically, it can't be beat in the slim-uATX format. Extremely easy to assemble, nearly tool-less.

Form factor is extremely small. Measures only about 4" in width, smaller than most slim cases I've used.

Power supply is decent for most applications.

Cons: The 3.5" bay is extremely shallow. I think the manufacturer intends for the user to leave that bay empty-- they stick a fan about 4" back from the face of the case, not enough to allow a normal sized 3.5" card reader there.

Most cheap 3.5" internal card readers have a tiny 1" circuit board mounted in a full size 3.5" chassis, which is too big for this bay, unless you remove the only case fan.

I ended up taking an angle grinder to remove about 1 inch of the card reader chassis to allow it to fit in the space. That was a delicate operation-- you had to cut it awfully close to the screw holes, which [the screw holes] is the only way to keep the rear of the card reader secure.

While not a true con, this case is set up much different than other slim-uATX cases I've used. It was a head scratcher when I first laid eyes on it, as to how I was going to mount the drives... Tool-less design, plastic tabs here and there, hardly any instructions lead to a fair amount of trial and error till you finally figure it out. Once you build the first one, if you had to do a second, you could do it in one tenth the time.

Other Thoughts: Awesome looking case, no doubt about it. The four USB ports (two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0) are more than you find on most cases. Fit and finish are the best I've seen in this price range.

All-in-all, it's one of the better designed cases, and I've used just about every variety of slim-uATX cases on Newegg in the last 1-2 years.

The card reader mounting was a nuisance, given that the only internal case fan was blocking it. But I don't think I've ever found a single case where I didn't have to make a modification for the card reader. Usually though, it only involves tapping a new screw hole for a card reader (most cases are still set up for the 3.5" floppy layout, despite no card reader adhering to that).

I didn't gripe too much about the fan placement, as it is in a near perfect location-- in front of the memory, CPU, VRM, all the heat generating components, blowing past these toward the rear of the case. Genius idea, and a great way to conserve space by not having rear or top mounted fans.

2 out of 5 eggsBig and Noisy

Pros: Looks cool from the front. Lots of space inside, lots of cooling.

Cons: Unnecessarily deep (15.5") for microITX enclosure. Fairly noisy fan. Not necessary if you're not pumping a lot of power through your CPU. Lid does not close all the way leaving about 2mm gap between lid and front panel.

Other Thoughts: Too much of a pain to send back but won't buy this one again.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Clean aesthetic, quiet fans, good packaging.

Cons: The internal 2.5" drive bay was a little too tight to fit my SSD, but bending the drive bracket out 3 mm or so was enough to fix the problem.

The 4/8 pin CPU power cable is too short for nice cable routing, but since there isn't a window on this case it's not a big deal.

4 out of 5 eggsAnother InWin Box

Pros: It's just the right size for my application and comes with a fairly decent PSU. The toolless top is a time saver. If you're using standard OOD and HDD, it's toolless. You can be running in 10 minutes.

Cons: The external 3.5" bay is a cluster coitus. It's not deep enough for the backplane for my SSDs, so I tore out what was in the way, ending up with a 60mm fan under the backplane. That made necessary a CPU fan, when I wanted to go fanless, but it runs cool enough to stop shutting down when it gets hot.

The PSU isn't Certified, but, so far, it works and it's quiet. I have an InWin PSU in a miniITX box still running after six years.

It has glue on feet instead of bolt on.

Other Thoughts: All of my InWin boxes took some thought to figure out, but work fine once I do. This is the first time I've had to tear up anything to make it be what I wanted. The InWin folks ought to let people know that the external 3.5" bay will hold only a card reader, and even the card reader has to have the cables on the left side. So I took off an egg for that.

Otherwise, this is what I wanted.

4 out of 5 eggsPerfect for an office environment

Pros: -Solid Case
-Fitment is good
-Perfect size for office environment
-Looks professional grade
-4 USB Front ports
-Assembly and maintenance is easy
-Power supply works as it should
-Airflow is good for a slim case

Cons: -None that I have encountered

Other Thoughts: I'm using this for a basic PC build in an office environment. I have ordered 3 more since testing with the first. Assembly was done quickly, no hassle, you really don't need any kind of instructions. My first concern with trying a new case was fitment of the parts in the plastic clips and holders, everything went in fine and fits without moving around. Second was the case finish which is good and overall looks good for a professional environment. Third was the power supply, 300-watt is perfect for my i3-4150's il be setting up, so far I haven't hadn't any signs that this PSU will be a problem. That being said it would be nice to have seen a 350-watt PSU so I would be more comfortable doing a bit more power hungry build. Lastly was the cooling, it only has front and back venting, and one front slot for a 90/92mm fan, so I was a bit worried about the cooling. Using an Arctic F9 PWM case fan and Arctic 11LP CPU Cooler the cooling is acceptable for how they will be used, ideally I would have liked it to be better. Il add temps below with parts list.

Temps
Room Temp 23C/74F
Under normal load for about 4 hours checking email, opening pdf, using MS Office applications 35C/95F
5 back to back 15 minute burn in test at 100% load on the last test it ran about 57C/135F but did spike briefly to about 62C/144F
To compare, it runs about 3-4C hotter than an identical build in a size comparable slim case that is much more open with a top exhaust vent and 80mm fan and side vent right over the CPU Cooler.

Assembled with
ASUS H97M-Plus
Intel i3-4150 Haswell "refresh"
4GB Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3
Arctic Freezer 11LP and F9 PWM

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Case!

Pros: Solid construction
Great quality
Nice design
Looks great
Tool-free design

Cons: Audio headers are too short

Other Thoughts: I love this case. It feels like a nice commercial-grade case that Dell would make. You definitely get your money's worth.

WARNING:
When installing cards, don't use screws! There is no doumentation with this case. I wasn't quite sure how to install cards using the tool-free system. The case came with screws in the PCI slots, but they are optional. You can damage the tool-free clip if you use screws.

Don't make my mistake! Only use one or the other.
