5 out of 5 eggsGREAT

Pros: Great air flow. Lots of drive space so unless you have a insane amount of drives you can space them for air flow. Lots of room in side for just about any configuration.

Cons: Can't really think of any for myself. it's was exactly what i wanted and got. I've had it about a year and a half now & EVERYTHING still works like new. I'm a big gamer so i give it a work out. lol

Other Thoughts: I read a couple complaints about the power button. Mine still works fine but it does feel kind cheap. Everything else seem very good quality though.

5 out of 5 eggsIn Win Dragon Rider ATX Full Tower

Pros: Reading many of the reviews, I'd have to agree with many of the pros. This case is absolutely HUGE!!! I love it and have had no issues with it whatsoever.

1. Case allows for multiple fan configurations, especially on the side fan.
2. Cable management space behind the MOBO.
3. Crazy number of drive slots.
4. This case is a champ for air flow if done properly.
5. The LEDs are a vivid blue but not enough to hurt the eyes. In darkness they give good light and look amazing.

Cons: A few things I wish were better:

1. More cable management space. It would be nicer to have a cleaner setup.
2. Water cooler wires- I don't know if these are removable but they're a pain if you air cool. I wish they were just provided and you can add them if needed.
3. Better fans- I just noticed the 3 yellow stock fans are going out.
4. My power button just fell out one day...I can still turn it on but it would be nice to have that hole sealed.

Other Thoughts: All in all, I LOVE this case. I'll be upgrading my hardware in a few days but will keep the Dragon Rider. Unless there's a major revolution in cases this will be my case for a very long time. I did see it's not in production anymore so I hope In Win is coming out with a Ver 2.0.

Current build: ASUS MA44TD EVO MOBO
AMD Deneb 3.0 with stock fan
AMD Radeon HD 6850
Zion AXP Lan-Party 1000W PSU

New build: ASRock Fatality 990FX Killer MOBO
AMD FX 6300 Vishera 3.5 Six-Core
Noctua NH-D14 CPU cooler
Same video card & PSU

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: TONS OF SPACE!
My huge CPU cooler is off of the side fan by about 1mm, but clearance is clearance.
Painted all black inside and out!
Tons of wire management options.
Grommets for liquid cooling (not for me) or USB3.0 loop-back.

Cons: The ONLY con....
The power button is failing, I cannot turn my computer off the entire way, only sleep.
It is a pain to turn on using the button.

Other Thoughts: Can I get a new power button please?!
I'm not tearing my whole system down for this one piece, please.
Xclio sent me a new button by itself when it died.
3 year warranty according to in-win's site.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsBest Case I Ever Bought

Pros: When compaired to the other cases I've owned over the years this thing is freaking HUGE!

Plenty of room when working on or adding devices.

The 220mm is completely silent. The fan sits on my desk about a foot from my head and I can't hear any of the fans running.

I removed the top mounted fan and added a Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme Liquid Cooling System. It fit perfectly.

This is the only case I've ever worked with that didn't cause bleeding at some point in the instillation process.

Cons: As large as this case is there are some things that are still to small. The right side cover is one of them. I found that with all the wires and cables routed up the right side behind the motherboard the right panel wouldn't close without using a huge clamp to smash everything down so that I could screw it shut. That should have cost it several eggs, but I only deducted one.

I have eVGA two GTX 680 video cards and the 220mm fan hits the video card power cables. Bending the wires 90 degrees to the conector kept the wires from being hit by the fan. I thought about deductiong an egg for this but since I was able to fix the problem I didn't.

Another problem I had with the video cards was that the quick release levers would not lock closed. I removed the two screws holding the levers in, cut off the tab that was causing the problem, remounted the levers and locked in the video cards. I shouldn't have needed to do that. Again, I thought about deductiong an egg for this but since I was able to fix the problem I didn't.

I would have prefered a lexan window instead of the wire mesh to mount the 220mm fan. You would be able to see inside the case a little bit easier. I was also worried about the amount of noise that would be coming out of the open mesh areas but that has been a non-issue. I also wonder how much air is escaping through the mesh instead of being vented out the top or back of the case. No eggs deducted for these.

Possible future con:

Finding a replacement 220mm fan when this one fails. Depending on how long it lasts that may not be an issue, unless 220mm fans never become popular.

Other Thoughts: I was disappointed to see that this case is listed on Newegg as discontinued. I hope In Win is working on a Dragon Rider ver. 2.0. If they make it a couple inches wider is would solve all of the cons I listed above. I would highly recomend buying it if you can still find this case for sale on some other site.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case!!!

Pros: This has been, by far, the easiest case I've had to set up! The removable covers on the front are easy to take off and the mounting brackets aren't too think (they were on my previous case). The fans run pretty solid, with very low noise level. I currently have an i5 3570k oced to 4.2 ghz on stock cooling, and this case keeps temps averaging at 66C on 100% load! Not to mention, it's a VERY beautiful case!

Cons: None that I've encountered!

Other Thoughts: I've noticed that some people have mentioned an issue with mounting large video cards. I had no issues on this matter. I just lifted the mounting brackets, and was able to close them without problems. My HD 7870 is in there, nice and snug.

5 out of 5 eggsTANK!!

Pros: This case is a tank. Very well built and has great options for cable management, which I loved. The only thing about this case is if you have a big gpu I would reccommend installing your SSD if you have one before installing your GPU. Also Im not sure if it was just my experience but I had trouble getting my EVGA GTX 670 installed. I had to bend the front forks a little to get it into place.

Cons: Not enough to substract an egg but they could have made the 2.5 bay slide out sideways for easy installation for the SSD because the gpu was in the way.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: This thing is GIANT! Cable management is a little different but it works with what they give you, it looks nice, and the case is solid as a rock

Cons: The yellow 120mm fans they give you are terrible... Two rattled and didn't do much of anything, so I just replaced them with 2 thermaltake ones... no harm, no foul.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for something with good airflow and case with the "wow" look... get this

4 out of 5 eggsNice case overall

Pros: The case itself is very well made with heavy duty plastic and steel. The fan layout is well done. Bottom mount for the PSU. Lots of space for expansion. My gigantic artic heatsink and fan actually fit in this case. Wire management is also very easy with the nicely placed holes through the back of the case.

Cons: I have two fairly big complaints about this case and one minor one.

1.) If you plan on installing multiple video cards and use the GIGABYTE|GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard you will block one of the system fan inputs. I was able to get around this by using one of the ATX to 3 pin fan adapters instead.

2.) If you use multiple video cards the 2nd card will block the 2.5" adapter bay from sliding out all the way. You either have to install the SSD drive first and then the Video card or it will slide out far enough to get the drive in and 2 screws installed.

3.) This again is related to the motherboard maybe, but also was related to the locking clips used for installing pci cards. With the mother board installed the video cards could not be installed because the locking clip would not go up high enough to make it past the board and down into the slot. I ended up having to unscrew the the board from the case, installed the cards into the slots and slide it back into place.

Other Thoughts: Overall a very well made case with alot of nice features, just some annoying problems that took a little thought to work out.

5 out of 5 eggsMade a hybrid/fanless computer (no noise)

Pros: I made a fanless computer with this case. It's pratically an open platform case with all it's screens. I removed all the case fans and installed an AMD FX-6300 and two MSI R7870 CrossfireX cards onto an MSI 990FXA-GD80 MB using a Silverstone He02 passive CPU Cooler. I modified the video cards with Arctic Accelero S1 Plus VGA Coolers and S1 Turbo Module fan kits. I added fans to the CPU and GPUs, but they are all switchable on or off with a SunbeamTech Rheosmart 6 Fan Controller. The Dragon Rider is a great case for a passive computer. The CPU fans are Noctua fans. In a quiet room I still cannot tell the difference with the fans on or off. Noctuas are so quiet, that you have to have your ear agaisnt them to hear anything at all ! The 8 slots make it eligible for dual, tri or quad setups. Also use a Kingwin 500 watt fanless PSU. The large 6-fan screen is super! Awesome ventilation! Silent operation means no noise pollution during multimedia games and programs where quietness is important.

Cons: I didn't like the PCI lever-locks, so I remove them. The ordinary screw is still the better mousetrap! I wish it had a 120mm fan mount in front of the power supply area for added ventilation. I would have preferred the hard drive LED and Power LED on the front bezel, but the top position is still a pretty good location.

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent design and a tough-looking appearance for a case. Having to remove the front bezel in order to remove a drive device is no problem at all. In fact it adds to the security of those parts.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Tower

Pros: Beautiful but masculine- sweet lines.
Many fans- my mouse hand gets cold next to it on my desk from the airflow.
The lights are all pretty sweet.
Many bays - far more than I need.
Matches my board and RAM -black/blue schema.
Sturdy and stable- plus it has swing feet for added stability.

Cons: Friends drool on it.
I would take a quarter of an egg--for the mod below.

Other Thoughts: With a CM Hyper 212, I couldn't fully latch the side without the fan hitting the copper pipe's end. This contradicted all reviews I looked up stating it has plenty of space for such equipment... Maybe it had something to do with the ASUS P8Z68-V/Gen 3? I dunno.

I flattened the grate where the big fan mounts (used cardboard to protect the finish and a tack hammer on a flat surface) and it fits together perfectly. No one can tell it had to be flattened, and it took all of 5 minutes, so no big deal.
