5 out of 5 eggsGood looking, heavy duty case.

This review is from: IN WIN GRone White 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: - Finish appears to be a durable powder coat.
- White color paint seems more of a very light beige than a true white. Maybe I like it out of of nostalgia, because I am old enough (45) to remember when almost all computer components were finished in various shades of beige.
-Panel and expansion port screws are big heavy duty burly screws with both knurls for turning by hand and slotted for screw drivers.
-Thick 0.8 mm steel construction
-Nice to have the option of a quieter air flow which I normally have it set at.
-Very roomy case for ease of building and good air flow.

Cons: -Only 3 external 5.25 inch bays. Even if optical drives may be on the road to obsolescence, there are a lot of other potential uses for 5.25 bays: fan controllers, card readers, and if nothing else they can be used for storage drawers. But for the internal 3.5 bays, which this case has an abundance of, there is not much other use for them other than as hard drive bays. I suppose it should be noted, however, that there is instructions with this case for converting a portion of the 3.5 bays to water cooling, but I have not plans to do that as I am happy with my air cooler.

- The tool-less system for 3.5 inch drives is a puzzle. What do case manufacturers have against tools? I love tools and having an excuse to buy and use tools. Fortunately the pegs used to secure the 3.5 drives can easily be popped out and standard motherboard screws be used instead to secure the drive. Therefore anyone already building a system should already have a phillips p1 screwdriver at the ready since one is needed to install the motherboard -- so it shouldn't be a problem requiring one to install a hard drive either. It actually would be easier because there is no learning curve turning a screw like there can be with these puzzling tool-less systems.

Other Thoughts: There is a 4th 5.25 bay behind the front USB ports that would only be accessible internally. I have not tried but I think there should be enough space above the bay for SATA and power cords and to place and remove DVD discs if the bay were to be used for an optical drive.

It looked like all the hard drive trays can be used either for either a 3.5 hdd or a 2.5 ssd. For 2.5 drives there are plastic beams in the trays where the drive is placed on top and screw holes underneath where screws are placed to secure the drive.

Label on the box it came in says NW 12.02 KGS. That is 26.5 pounds, which I believe is the weight of the empty unboxed case. I thought that might be helpful since the weight of the case didn't seems to be listed anywhere online.

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: IN WIN GRone White 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: This case is HUGE!!! First Gaming PC build and I can't be more excited. That fact that it has an express SATA on the case is a huge deal. Lots of room for expansion. Filter intake.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Should of got it sooner. Newegg sold it 50 dollars cheaper, but i waited to long and got it only for 30 dollars cheaper. Still an amazing deal though.

2 out of 5 eggsI would look else where

This review is from: IN WIN GRone White 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's a large case with usb 3.0

Cons: I was excited to receive this new computer case, however I found it to have various black marks, cheap parts, unattractive asymmetrical features and other off putting features that regrettably make me want a refund.
Thank you!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case is great!

This review is from: IN WIN GRone White 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Solid case, great airflow, tons of room, lots of options for different configurations/modifications, installed fans are actually pretty decent and quite. For the price, this thing is amazing!

Cons: As one other poster stated installing a 3.5" HDD is a bit of an issue. You gotta muscle the HDD tray and fidget with the pins just a bit to get one installed. Also as previously mentioned, the very top 5.25" bay is useless due to the front panel, but not a major concern. Lack of truly removable dust filters may be an issue for some, but isn't proving to be to bad for me.

Other Thoughts: Originally I was interested in a slightly pricier case but had to adjust my budget a bit and ended up buying this case instead, not disappointed in the least. One other member posted about the top hot swap, just to clarify, it is basically just a SATA extension cable and is hot swapable if your mobo will let you assign specific SATA ports to act like externals (like mine does). Put a Corsair H80i on the rear exhaust with no issues at all. This thing fits everything I've thrown into it with plenty of room to spare. Great case and surprisingly solid build considering it's price.

3 out of 5 eggsInWin GRone Full size case

This review is from: IN WIN GRone White 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Nice ventilation nice amount of fans to start off with (5 installed) very quiet with fans in normal mode, lots of room for any CPU/APU cooler, it's very big.

Cons: The Hot Swap Dock on top of the case is not hot swappable as advertised, if you plug in a hard drive you have to reboot for it to be detected which sucks because I bought this case primarily that feature so I still have to use an external dock if I want the hot swap ability. I thought the SATA connector was bad but InWin sent me a replacement and that's how I found out that it;s not hot swappable. I will not buy another InWin case again. next time I will spend the extra money and get a better case. I guess you get what you pay for and this was on sale for $99.99.

Other Thoughts: if you want the hot swap do more research and go with the more name brand cases and pay the extra money. it will save you a lot of aggravation.
