2 out of 5 eggsCould have gone better

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks good. Plenty of cable managment. Great stock fans.

Cons: Some of these amy only because of shipping but... the internall fan was bouncing around the inside of the case when it had opened up the package which has scratched the the plastic window panel (which is blue? For a black and red case?) And the front bottom panel clip had broken as well causing the front half of the case to flop over. These are too small for me to do a rma but after seeing the shipping method of in win I will more than likely be going with either a corsair or cooler master case

Other Thoughts: Would have been for the overall build quality to be better with the plastic bits.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Matt,
We are sorry for your inconvenience. This problem may cause by shipping but we will also review the shipping method. To solve this issue, Please kindly contact our customer service dept at 909-348-0588 x 741 or email us at customerservice@in-win.com for the part replacement.
Thank you.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, and decent

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Big, roomy for cable management. The include fan is pretty quiet and powerful. Turbo mode for fan is a great addition. Quality build. Still a good case

Cons: No rubber feet. the edge of the feet is pretty sharp, got some skin rip when moving the case.
The place to hold filter is not that good, it slide itself out of you touch it just by a little bit
Noise coming from the hollow top of the case. Flaw in the design. Either tighten the top so that it won't vibrate or make another design for the top.

Other Thoughts: Use watercool but still got some vibration sound because of the hollow top

5 out of 5 eggsIn Win GRone Supercase

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: First off i got this case on a steal from newegg almost half price but that does not put it at 5 stars.. What does put it at five stars is this thing is huge which is very good for what i am building. I currently have 9 fans installed along with a Corsair H105I water cooler mounted in top of case. the Cosair is 280 or 2 140 mm fans. It was simple case of move top fan forward and mount water cooler in top of case so i have 3 fans in top case pushing hot air out!! the Thermaltake 750w power supply is mounted in bottom of case and a fourth fan sucking air into case going up. Two front fans across drives. and one back mounted fan to input air as well or expels it. Add the fan to cool motherboard which mounts in back side case this thing should stay very cool. I have already added a multi-card reader with USB 3.0 port to front which will give me total of 4 front USB 3 ports. Top mount for external sata drive is a added bonus especially if you work on computers. This is a new build and with the added room of monstrous bays for hard drives it will needs to be cool. The amount of 5.25 bays is great. The only thing people need to do is take your time putting in your fans and components and this case will do anything you need it to do. Board mounting will be fast and easy as well as mounting the water cooler to the chip. the cable management will be excellent as there is plenty of room for running cables as well which adds to the cooling. this case also has a fan management on front panel.

Setup will be intel 4390 I7 chip
asus x79 sabertooth or gigabyte x79up4
32 gig ram corsair dominator cache latency 9
XFX Double dissipation r9 290a card
promise raid controller for 4 hard drives
mushkin 256 ssd hard drive primary
pcie 1 card for extra front USB 3.0 slots and memory card reader
LG 5.25 bluray burner
cosair h105I water cooler
Thermal Take 750w ps
6 cougar silent fans
and six stock case fans with case

so yes i makes beasts.. i don'l like failing parts over heat. I will post pictures to this review when fully completed. Still deciding on ram and motherboard for completion. I know the chip ... just can't decide on the board.

Cons: only thing i could even thing of is simply easier opening of the case.

Other Thoughts: The case is tool-less for putting in drives but they hold very securely and they are easy to move around. It is one sharp looking case and i am extremely impressed. Even at full price it is still big bang for the buck. I looked at 15 cases only case that came close was the Rosewill Thor because of cooling fans. So if you are looking to get something that you can work with then buy this case but take your time installing everything. The manual was a sheet but very good with the pictures. Again i will add pics after the build is completed.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Huge. Plenty of space to operate, great ventilation, tons of area to expand if you need more fans or are putting in a liquid cooling system.
Lots of hard drive bays, but you can pull the things out easily if you don't want them/need more space for something else.
Cable management is super easy.

Cons: Huge, you need to know if it'll fit in your space.
The front panel covering the intake fans falls off too easily, and the dust screens on the bottom needed to be secured with a bit of tape to keep them from just falling off.
The easy swap hard drive dock on the top is pretty finicky.

Nothing that really bothers me all that much.

Other Thoughts: I've built a couple systems using these cases now, and I'm really happy with it. Makes installation and expansion of parts pretty easy.

1 out of 5 eggsjUNK

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Looks good from the outside. Kinda like a Halloween scary ride. Looks great till you get in it.

Cons: 120mm fans will not fit with out mod adjustment, but just the two front and the one VGA fan. Poorly made tower.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy a IN WIN again. Some of you may not have this headache of a tower, the fans were not the only problem with this tower, but maybe I got one while the QC was sleeping? So take it for what its worth. New Egg your the best.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Sir or Madam,
We are sorry for any inconvenience that you have experienced. GRone is the great full tower case that have many room to support max. ten of 120/140mm fans, up to two radiators for liquid cooling, E-ATX motherboard, and etc. If you have any question, please kindly contact our customer service dept at 909-348-0588 x 741 or email us at customerservice@in-win.com. 5 out of 5 eggsLike it so much I'm buying another

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: 1) Plenty of space to work with. 2) Able to route cables under motherboard for better air flow. 3) Easy install / removal of HDD/SSD/5.25" with screwless mounting and rubber bushings for vibration dampening. 4) I don't like LED lights, but the red ones are non-offending to my eyes. 5) The fine mesh for the dust filters capture mostly everything. 6) I've read other reviews that say turbo fan mode is loud, but it isn't. However Silent is really silent. 7) comes with 5 fans with high flow, can be upgraded to 10 fans.

Cons: Rear fan slightly contacts case frame when side panel is off, but stops once panel is replaced. Not really an issue, since I don't run "open" cases.

Other Thoughts: Well built case, uses a screw type standoff for motherboard instead of those flimsy snap in ones.

4 out of 5 eggsSo Close

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: Big case!

Lots of room for (most) everything - see exceptions below.

Good price for what you are getting.

Others complained about "cheap" power button. Maybe they have improved it - mine has a nice, solid feel.

Would have been nice to have more tie downs for cables but worked for me just fine.

Overall good buy but if you are adding a custom water loop you will need to select radiators with care - see below.

Cons: Lots of room for most everything but...
Since there is one supplied fan on the the top in between the metal case and the plastic cover I thought you could fit all three there. No - just the one.
Since I built with a custom water cooling system I expected to put the 360 Radiator inside and the three fans outside. Does not fit. Don't expect to put a Rad thicker than 35.5 mm plus the 120 X 25 mm thick fans inside. They just fit without getting in the way of the Mobo. JUST. In Win should re-design the plastic lid to allow room for three fans outside the metal frame.

I also put in a 240 Radiator at the bottom - also 35.5 mm thick - plus fans. You must remove the bottom HD cage which was fine for me but...
You can NOT fit the thickness of the Rad plus the fans under the metal structure that holds the HD cage. There is an access space to slide the Rad under but nothing else would fit. I ended up cutting strips of Velcro to fit the fans on either side of the bridge. I can see no reason that they didn't make the space 4-5" high as it wouldn't affect the structure at all. And "no" there isn't enough clearance under the case to put either the Rad or the fans under the case as the legs are too short for that. Bad design.

To fit water pump for custom water loop I actually took out BOTH HD cages, created a small platform over the right side of the bottom 240 Rad and fits there like a charm. Surprised that was the only place for it in such a big case

So this case is dark gray with red LED fans (mostly). And they put a smoked BLUE window in it!?! Maybe this is just me but it just doesn't go together. I bought a sheet of Lexan and cut it to fit to replace the supplied window. Now I am showing off all my nice Red & Black hardware through a CLEAR window!

Why are two of the supplied 140 mm fans plain black with no red LED? A little cheap.

Other Thoughts: ASUS Maximus VI Formula
Intel Core i7-477k 3.5GHz @ 4.5GHz stable
EVGA GTX 770 GPU
G.Skill Ripjaws X 16GB (4X4) DDR3, 2400
Samsung 840 SSD 500GB
EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W P2 Platinum PSU
Custom water cooling loop:
XSPC components (mostly)
cooling Northbridge, CPU, GPU

5 out of 5 eggsSatified Customer

This review is from: IN WIN GRone Gray 0.8mm SECC Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case

Pros: It was everything I expected it to be and nothing less.

Cons: The feet of the case are a little cheap looking but not bad enough that I wouldn't recommend the case to a friend.
