4 out of 5 eggsOverall great, some minor design flaws

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: A family member bought this for me to make my new build, after I picked it out. I

It's got great ventilation.
Room for a lot of fans (although maybe not as many as you are led to believe, but more on that in cons)
It feels really sturdy for the price, well built, well designed and is working well for me.
I actually like the HDD LED's on the front, as well as the red fan that came with it. The fans are fairly quiet and with the snap in installation for many of the fans, it made installation of extra fans a breeze.
I got the Hot Swap dock working for my HDD and that is a major plus, as well as the fan controller switch.
Overall this is really a great gaming case for the price. It looks awesome and feels well made.

Cons: There were some cons though.

They say eight fans, then say that can depend on region. Even getting six case fans in (four more than the two it came with, and two less than they say you can fit), took a bit of engineering. I don't know why the model here even advertises eight fans at all because that's only for the mesh side version, and that version is not even on Newegg. There is a spot for a bottom fan, but its right where the PSU is mounted. Even if you have a small fan (80 mm) it will probably hit the power cables. So I could possibly fit a seventh fan, but it's really poorly designed there. Not enough space.

Also, this case really isn't that big. I know it's a mid, but just keep in mind you shouldn't expect to fit in large aftermarket cpu coolers, as they might not fit with the side of the case on. That brings me to another complaint.

It says "water cooling hole ready", but the thing is, there is so little room in this case for a water cooling system you would almost be forced to mount it externally. That may or may not be a con to you, but it's something to keep in mind. It's still a great case for the price. You don't have screws at the top, just brackets for fans. You would have to try to mount a radiator in the brackets somehow without screws, and then screw the fans to the radiator, which likely wouldn't even fit. If you could get a radiator into the top brackets in the first place. Doubtful.

Also, the little red pieces should fit on the top too. It just seems lazy. I was pretty annoyed when I realized I couldn't use them on the top.

Also, why couldn't the front fan be red LED as well? And that's another small complaint. I searched all over Newegg and online but couldn't find them. I would like the option to buy more red LED fans produced by In Win like the one in the case, because it's hard to find the exact matching shade of red. Right now I have a mismatch of various colored/non colored fans. It seems In Win doesn't sell individual fans though. Bummer.

Other Thoughts: It really is a great case for the price. I almost didn't knock off an egg, but there are just a few design flaws I was bothered by. I understand why they didn't add screw holes on top (because of the venting holes, but I still believe they could have found a way.

And I really wish they were more honest about the fan situation (how many can fit safely, etc.)

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Bad Packaging.

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I got this case after seeing the reviews, and all I can say is that it looks better in person. The lights look AMAZING on it, and the airflow is wonderful. It's great there's a switch for 'high' and 'low' fan settings. Easy to build inside.

Cons: Right when it arrived, I opened the box to see that the side panel (clear), was cracked throughout the whole thing. I didn't let this bother me since I was eager to set up the computer since I was without one for a while. But I am extremely disappointed that I have to deal with now every time I see the case. Except for that, I wish there were longer cables.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

We are sorry for the inconvenience that you have experienced on the broken side panel on GT1 case. Please kindly email us a picture of the broken panel, and we will try to find out a solution for it as soon as we can. Thank you and have a great day.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Case but not the best quality

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing, Roomy, Space for cable management, Good dust filter. Everything included with instructions in nice zip lock baggy. Arrived very fast.

Cons: A bit cheap. Side panel screw came with no threads,

Other Thoughts: Personally i wouldn't go for this case. Its a bit cheap. Its light and the whole time I was checking it out I was afraid I was going to break it in one way or another. Beyond that I don't have many complaints. Can't complain with the price. My cousin likes it, and that's all that matters.

5 out of 5 eggsThis case is awesome

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Airflow in this case in great and I really like being able to peer inside the case with all the LED fans I have installed in it.

Cons: I don't like having the IN WIN logo displayed on the see through side panel, it kinda ruins the whole looking inside the case thing

Other Thoughts: I don't know if I'm installing the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo correctly in this case because when I go to put the clear side panel back on the case, the aluminum pins prevent the side panel from sliding in perfectly where I can see a slight gap between the side panel when it's put back onto the case, but overall, it fits the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

5 out of 5 eggsGreat looking and funcitoning case and just enough room

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: I have always really like the way this monitor looked. And when I finally had a chance to build a new pc this was the case I went to. Even after research for cases around 60 bucks I still found this one to be best bang for my buck. I got it for 50 then S and S was 10. It had motherboard stand offs built into the MB tray, which is very nice. I have 5 red LED fans and it glows beautifully. There is quiet a bit of cable management room behind the MB tray. And even though its a tight fit you can route your cpu power cable from your PSU to the top by going behind the tray and routing through a little slit right above the MB. All in all I like it very much. Fits my 7950 very well with my 8320 cooled by a cooler master Evo 212

Cons: It's a mid tower and not a full tower.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE THIS CASE!

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Everything. This case has it all. Great looks, space, Fantastic wire management.. The window is huge so you can see everything including hard drives. you can fit 6 fans total in the case, and if you get led fans, the case brightens up really nice. I went with blue fans, but i think if i stayed with the red it would have looked even nicer. I would suggest it to anyone building a new pc, or just looking for a new case

Cons: Only con would be that the words in win are on the window of the case. I would have preferred it not be there, but pros outweigh the cons

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Low price, Great quality, good features. Overall good.

Cons: Not really a big deal, but why only 1 usb 3.0 when the header supports 2? I can see why they did it for aesthetics, but functionally it makes no sense. Or maybe go with 2 usb 3.0 instead of 2 usb 2.0 But again its not a big deal, you know all of this before you buy the case.

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied...

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice for the price

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: It's very nicely constructed, more metal than plastic. The sides slide easily on and off, and are much more rugged than my previous case (antec 300). The toolless drive bays are really awesome- full size HDDs don't even need screws, and 2.5" drives only need four simple bottom screws.
The fan holes are copious, there are passive vents all over. The water cooling holes are a nice touch, and it fits my EVGA GTX 760 GPU with room to spare.
I LOVE how the cables for its top mounted ESATA port, and all of its fan cables are discretely tucked away in their own little channel, keeping them out of the way. The top mounted ESATA dock is a very nice touch, and easy to get running.
Lots of room, and the case was made such that I didn't need to use any standoffs to mount my ASUS Z87 PRO motherboard. Fan speed switch is nice too. Overall, very happy with it. The quite tall feet which are included (and easily removable) are very nice; they stand the computer nearly an inch off the ground.

Cons: Bottom mount PSU only, which isn't a big deal for me, but some might find it annoying. Only white was on sale, which again I don't mind

Other Thoughts: Really much nicer than I would have expected for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsEEEHAAA

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: White?? Actually looks pretty cool. Really like that top Swap Dock.I put two more fans in and barely here it. Temperature went down at least 15*. The old case was in bad shape.
Most of the fans snap in.

Cons: Can't think of one.
Not a con but a reminder. Bottom mounted PSU.I ended up propping mine up until I got an extension.

Other Thoughts: I'm not real fussy about how the wires look so it took me a long time to figure out the HDD's mounted with the connections away from you. Have to admit it looks better than a ball of wires.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Case

This review is from: IN WIN GT1 White SECC Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Roomy and sturdy. Decent Cable management.

Cons: Front requires a little bit to much force to pop off than I am comfortable applying.

Other Thoughts: Nice case, looks good. What you see is what you get here. The only thing I would say, and it's not necessarily a con is the blue HDD activity lights are super bright. If I leave my computer on and turn the lights out at night for a download it lights up the whole room with this creepy blue strobe effect.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your opinion. We will forward it to our R&D department.
