4 out of 5 eggsGood case for the money

Pros: Decent build, a little flex but nothing to squak about.
HDD tool less install
Easy to build in

Cons: Running the CPU power is an issue. There is not a good way to get it up there. I used these cases for several gaming builds but have since moved away for something that makes it easier to run these cables. If they fix this issue I'll start using it again.

Other Thoughts: Buy it for a first time case. In Win is an excellent company but should think about cable management/routing just a little more.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello William,

Thank you for leaving feedback on our G7 chassis. Will pass this suggestion to our R&D department for future product consideration. Thank you for choosing In Win.

Best regards,

In Win Development Inc.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case. Not too feature packed though.

Pros: Large 3.5" storage bays
tool-less installation of drives.

Cons: Not that many extra features.
Not necessarily eye candy.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great case. Works for a small server tower.

5 out of 5 eggsIN WIN G7 Black ATX Mid Tower Case

Pros: This case looks like an average Case, but it is put together well, The Fans are quiet, and everything works. I am really impressed it keeps everything cool. This is a true 5 star rated computer case.

Cons: Not a one! Some say it is made with thin metal, but it flexes and is really strong. Not fancy looking

Other Thoughts: I have bought many different kinds of cases, expensive and lower ended cases too, but in all honesty this is my favorite case to date. Someone was really thinking when they designed this case, and the flex on the sides make it so there is no sound from the case.

1 out of 5 eggsbitter taste

Pros: Looks great, routing cable management is some what close to amazing. Its light weight for a Mid-tower.

Cons: When I opened the box one of the thumb security screws fell out wasn't too concerned about it until I was ready to install my motherboard. I'm missing the stand offs and the motherboard screws. Was this a returned item? Ad said nothing about it being refurbished. Tried contacting new egg but no response or nearly an hour to wait on the phone.

The case seems flimsy but I already knew that from the reviews.

Other Thoughts: I'm in love with the case but this poor assessment of not quality checking the item is leaving me with a bitter taste. Get your self together! Will change the to 4 eggs if i can get these things.

Manufacturer Response:

Desr Sir or Madam,
We apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced. G7 has 9 volcano holes those instead of stand offs for motherboard. If you have any questions, please kindly contact our customer service dept at 909-348-0588 ext 741 or email us at We will provide the solution to you as soon as we can. Thank you.

Best Regards,

4 out of 5 eggsWell Designed, Light-Duty Case

Pros: Nice design; precise workmanship; looks good - impressive, imitation brushed aluminum; creative fan control.

Cons: Turbo (fan) LED is bright but other LEDs are dim; lots of plastic; light-duty; does not support any 140mm fans.

Other Thoughts: Nice features but would prefer to see this case under $55.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat budget case

Pros: This case is great if you are building on a budget and want something simple looking. There are plenty of cable management holes on the motherboard tray. Main reason I bought this case was for the hot swap bay up top and its simple non windowed design.

Quiet stock case fans is a bonus with the classic TURBO button, which you know makes them 1000% better.

Cons: I purchased this case for a computer built for my church so I knew it wasn't going to be moved much and that it didn't need anything fancy. Which this case loaded with all of my components (listed below) and the two side panels on it, it still would flex a little bit when I picked it up to move its location.

With the motherboard I purchased for this build basically the back edge of the motherboard, where you plug in your power and ram, did not have stand offs underneath it. This could be a motherboard issue but I have been building computers with Gigabyte boards for awhile now and hadn't run in this before.

Other Thoughts: Bottom line is I got what I paid for. Previous builds have been for friends who wanted to display their computer on their desk so we choose something like a 900 or a HAF. Also my case that I'm currently running is a Blackbird 002 case which has ZERO flex and is heavier than a small child.

If you are building a computer and just want a simple case that has good cooling and quiet stock fans this case may be for you.

Components inside the case:
Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP Motherboard with 2 sticks of Corsair Memory
MSI Twin Frozr 660
Corsair PSU
Samsung 840 Pro
Seagate 4TB drive
2x Corsair AF fans

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Spacious.
Lots of fans.
The 2 front and top case fans are screw-less, tight and work.
The one front case fan comes with a filter.
The power supply and bottom case fan slots have a removable wire mesh that acts as a filter.
The HDD mounts orientation and front case fans keep the HDD's with air flowing across them
The 5.25 drive tool-less locks are actually easy to use and work.
Not as big and flashy as some other cases and is elegant looking.

Cons: Cable management is tight. Had one sata cable come loose from a HDD putting the case back together and it pulling off. Use a modular Power supply if possible at all.

No open space above the mother board to run cable to or from the top. only 2 cable need to go up top and that is the motherboard 2x4 24v power and the back case fan power connector. The case fan is easily run near the top where they have a place to tie it to the case to keep it out of the way. The power connector I had to run under the graphics card behind the motherboard back IO ports.

The 2.5" mount is for a single drive and is right on top of the 3.5" hdd brackets. They should have supplied a 2.5 to 3.5 conversion bracket so that it could mount with th either HDD's. Not worth taking an egg off for as most SSD's have a conversion bracket to put them in a 3.5" bay

Other Thoughts: The sata port on top is not working but could be due to the cable management and something coming loose. When I get un-lazy I will check it out to make sure.

Would be nice to include a second filter for the second front case fan.

The power button is silver and stands out but not a con. I think I will be painting so that it will blend in with the rest of the case.

Comes with 3 motherboard mounting standoff screws that are not needed. so don't buy or find more and use them to find out they need to be removed.

Has a turbo button and no idea why. Should read the manual I guess. But it is not noticeable unless you push it as it lights up when it is on.

My son and I both bought and built our computers together. He bought an HAF 912 case, and it is nice, but big compared to this case. He didn't need all of the bells and whistles and his case cost a little more. The only thing his come with that I wish this one did is a 2.5 to 3.5" bracket.

I have 2 - 2.5: SSD's and 2 - 3.5" HDD's, if not so many drives then cable management wouldn't probably be so bad.

4 out of 5 eggsThe Great and The Not So Great

Pros: Fantastic look. Dock up top is a fantastic idea and pretty useful for geeks. No crazy LEDs, no windows and the plastic front bezel doesn't look cheesy at all. You can hardly tell it's plastic actually unless you knew.

Cons: The side panel is flimsy. When I contacted InWin about how it was crooked they stated that it was done by design...meh, not so convinced.

Bottom mesh near the PSU also has some give to it, although none of these issues affected performance or could be visually noticed after the case was put together.

Cable management is a bit tight, even with a modular PSU. Good luck putting that rear side cover back on when you're done, lol.

Front panel audio crackles, hisses and pops. This is pretty common with cases from all manufacturers (antec, corsair, etc) but it's still disheartening.

Other Thoughts: This is a fantastic case, albeit a bit over priced considering the steel could be a bit thicker. The finish is sexy though and with dust filters all around, the dock up top and the front panel USB 3/fan controller I'd say it's still a good value for cases in this price range.
