Innovative and unique, the IN WIN D-FRAME chassis will make your power rig the best on the block with its aluminum pipe build and open-frame design. The D-FRAME continues and improves the FRAME concept and harmoniously blends craftsmanship and technology. Handcrafted with 100% fine aluminum, the D-FRAME embodies Win's pursuit of absolute precision. It boasts less than 0.5mm co-axial parallelism error - the aerospace industry's accuracy level - with superior strength in its aluminum piping structure. IN WIN's stable, welded framework is unrivalled in its quality and ruggedness for heavy duty use. High-end graphics card support, adjustable PSU holder, and convenient cable management mean uncompromised ease of assembly and DIY fun. Experience true beauty of craftmanship and excellence in technology with the IN WIN D-FRAME.

  • newegg Sand Casted and Handmade Each aluminum motherboard mounting plate on the D-Frame is handmade by applying traditional, sand-casting craftsmanship. Tooling for this chassis is made with reusable sand and looks natural and wild. A 750°C aluminum bath precisely shapes each board for the D-FRAME.
  • newegg TIG Technique The advanced aluminum alloy pipe reduces the weight of the overall case. A breakthrough in the aluminum creation process, D-Frame's unique bent pipe is welded with a new tungsten inert gas (TIG) technique, with greatly enhanced stability. Argon welding technology and 100% hand-craftsmanship make for precision construction. A combination of line coating for the heavy duty chassis, the unique bent pipe style, and limited fine construction synergize to create a real eye-catching CPU.
  • newegg Tempered Glass Extends Field of Vision Just like the utilization of tempered glass in building illumination, D-Frame's innovative design with the tempered glass side panel allows users to show-off system components inside the case. Tempered glass is produced from reinforced annealed glass forged by thermal treatment. Its delicate aesthetic offers unhindered views. Freely penetrating and extensive light and field of vision also further expand the sense of space.
  • newegg Open Air Design Open-air framework design provides excellent thermal performance, with support for up to four 120mm fans for enhanced cooling.
  • newegg Easy Installation Revolutionary 90-degree motherboard mounting allows easy access. Adjustable PSU holder supports a power supply of up to 220mm. Spacious cable management area helps organize and tie cables for neat inner looks and better air flow.
  • newegg USB 3.0 I/O Panel Two USB 3.0 ports and two audio ports on front panel allow handy connection to peripherals.

5 out of 5 eggsIn Win is a Win

Pros: Everything, It is very sturdy and the build quality is amazing. I love the full tempered glass (Not Plexi-glass) side panels. I will be keeping an eye out for future limited edition In Win models. Everyone that comes in to my Game room is like what is that it's awesome!

Cons: I was unable to buy a second one. And the motherboard plate will not allow you to change your heatsink mount without removing the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I have # 235/500 RED. I know this is sold out but I figured people may be curious about In Win's build quality for future limited edition models and IMO it is great!

5 out of 5 eggsAs good as I had hoped

Pros: Not a better case on the market:

*The fit and finish are great, well packaged, and all parts and pieces were present. It is well-built and very sturdy.

*Anyone with any tech or mechanical experience will have no problems putting it together.

*It will hold any components that you throw at it, and they stay nice and cool. Think outside of the box a little bit, (so to speak) and the possibilities for this case and different configurations are endless.

*The cool factor is unmatched. Mine is number 401 of 500. The Speed Triple of computer cases. That's why mine is getting a fresh Roulette Green misting of paint, to match my similarly unique bike.

Cons: Just a little pricey, though well worth it.

Other Thoughts: Fellow uber-nerds better get one while you still can!

5 out of 5 eggsThe Best Ever

Pros: It's every bit as good as I thought it was. Mine is 401/500. The fit and finish are excellent, it is big enough to fit any component you want, and if you have even a little tech experience you should have no problem putting it together. Components stay nice and cool too. Oh yeah, and the cool factor is unmatched.

Cons: Just a little bit expensive, but well worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: This is case is amazing. Great attention to detail, great color, rock solid build. Even comes with a little leather pouch with the tools needed to construct it. Looks much better in person than in the pics

Cons: Not a big deal, but nowhere to mount the I/O shield, leaves the back ports of your mother board a bit too exposed & maybe not as solid if you plug/unplug items often.

3 out of 5 eggsBeauty with only modest brains

Pros: Looks even better loaded with components.

PSU placement allows backwards and/or upside down placement. (I'm pulling air from outside, not inside)

Manufacturing tolerances are very precise. Attention to visual detail is outstanding.

Motherboard rotation allows for a nice airflow from bottom three fans straight up and out the top. Back fan flows over GPUs, Center fan feeds the CPU cooler, front fan feeds the HDDs.

This same rotation makes for a nice visual display of components and also reduces GPU weight on the mobo since it essentially hangs from the slot.

The black "frame" great for routing cables in and out of (if they reach...)

Comes with it's own tools to assemble in a really nice leather roll-up. I found this a really nice touch.

Cons: The price set a high bar. The combined gripes warrant a one egg drop but when I fork over this sort of dough it's going to be two.

I expect a PCI slot mechanism or at a minimum, thumbscrews. Thumbscrews are provided for fans but you'll be using a screwdriver anyway.

The mobo shield has nothing to attach to on this case. At least gravity will be on your side.

Mobo rotation will lead to some unsightly cables protruding from the top. There is some room to keep it neat though.

The biggest gripe is with the oversight in component placement. Component placement works long as you don't want cables connected to them.

3.5" hdds can only be mounted downward with the cables attached at the top of the cage. mounting upward sticks cables right into the front bottom fan.

The PSU being mounted essentially outside the case in the back is going to stretch things a bit. They'll reach but you'll have no slack to route cables in a desired fashion (frankly a bit messy at points and completely exposed by the glass)

Front bottom fan also has this issue...distance is long enough that you'll end up running in a messy fashion across the board without an extension.

Real bad:
2.5" drive placement is too close to the mobo to allow a cable to be hooked up and then duck under. Alternately you can again stick the cables into the front fan. I had to mount my 2.5" drive to the back of the plate.

This cannot be accomplished with a 2nd 2.5" drive as the front ports component intrudes into where a 3rd screw would go on the 2.5" drive.

Reset button is too "recessed for safety" to be used without resorting to some small object or tool.

Blu-ray / CDrom placement only allows it to open with the disc dropped in from the left. (btw.. the manual shows it flat out backwards, opening inside the case..but you'll figure that out. Be sure to load the CDRom into the cage before attaching)

I'm still delighted with this case and would recommend, but again IN WIN dinged themselves two eggs by combining less than perfection with the given price.

Other Thoughts: Limited edition:
Yep. it's 8/16 and mine shows it is number 360 out of 500. Base your order timing appropriately if interested.

I paired this with the same PSU that In-Win used to show this thing off at the trade shows. Ran into the aforementioned cabling limitations.

Zalman CNPS9500A with a 125mm height fits with plenty of room to spare.

As others have said the instructions to assemble are so-so. Hint: recessed "black dot" locations are for mobo and components. Non-recessed "tiny dot" screw locations are for cabling loop screw attachments.

4 out of 5 eggsLOVE this beast of a case

Pros: Extremely well built.
Awesome looks.
Great attention to detail.

Cons: Kinda expensive.
a bit heavier then i expected.

Other Thoughts: Just put my case together and wow do i love it. Everything went together smoothly and the build quality on it is just awesome. The attention to detail is fantastic. My only complaint is obviously the $400 price tag, and that it's a bit heavier then I anticipated. But overall.. i'm LOVING this case.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: It is amazing. Simple as that. Open air system, beautiful design. Glass on both size. Sturdy and heavy like a normal full size tower. GPU face vertically which helps keep the strain off the pci-e slots. Plenty of room for cables to come out the top or slide under the rails to go to the back. Amazing spot for power supply. Over all very satisfied.

Cons: None

(You have to put it together which some might not like, I enjoyed it personally)

Other Thoughts: I love it! My favorite case ever! I switched to this from a antec 1200 and have even more cable management space. And that's saying something coming from the 1200. It doesn't come with fans and I had an all in one liquid cooling unit, so I decided to test with one fan on the rad and it gets 30 degrees Celsius idle temp. When it was in my 1200 with 2 fans it idled at 35 degrees Celsius. I will say, I am putting liquid cooling in it and there inst much room for big rads or reservoirs, but it is totally possible to liquid cool with this case. You just have to be creative. This is an open air case and gets good temps on its own. i7 6 core 3.8ghz @ 30-45 degrees C (idle-full load) and 2x 680gtx @ 30-55 degrees C (idle-full load).

5 out of 5 eggsShipped Fast. Awesome Case

Pros: Shipped extremely fast even on default shipping. High quality case with no problems with the paint, glass or frame. Room for everything and more, excellent design and management.

Cons: None. The price is worth it if you have the budget. Maybe that since the mobo is rotated 90 degrees, SATA cables might be a bit stretched.

Other Thoughts: Get it before its gone.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great looking; well built; easy to work with

Cons: IN-Win states it works with 160mm heatsink -- NH-D14 will NOT fit. argh. eating the cost of that one. ouch.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice Case

Pros: Fantastic look.
Reasonably easy install provided you understand/appreciate good cable management. (It is windowed on both sides good cable management is a must imo. The cable hold-ons are nice, strong, and you place them where you need them.
Putting the case together was actually a lot and brilliantly simple, much like putting a computer together.
Strong feel and great build quality, not a single chip of paint when i put my build in.

Cons: My particular case shipped missing one of the exterior thumbscrew, however once i contacted INWIN they took my address down and shipped the missing piece, no charge to me, so no eggs removed, kudos to INWIN.
The pictures in the instruction manual could have been a bit clearer, particularly in regards to the orientation of some objects but common sense helps. Minor gripe.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to address a few things;
Dust- Really isn't a problem for me, but then i'm of those people who cleans my case once a month roughly. That being said i haven't cleaned my case yet ( I've had it for just under a month now) and there isn't any noticeable dust.
Spilling drinks- or any objects into the case wasn't a factor for me. For one this case doesn't nor will i ever sit it on the floor. It's a case meant to show off, so i keep it on a desk, and take care of my equipment.
Price- Should never be a con unless you don't receive a quality product like you were expecting. I received the product i wanted and am very happy with my case.
Some things to note;
Size- The case has a depth similar to that of a full tower, with a height not much more than a mid tower imo.
CPU Coolers- I couldn't find the data anywhere but it looks like air coolers of 160 mm or less will fit(the cooler will touch the glass) I'll test this with a NH-D14 once Haswell is released to confirm.
Also SATA cable's length might be a problem for some people depending on how and on which side you install your SSD's if you have any. My ASUS mb came with cables long enough, but still something to keep in mind.
In conclusion, I love my case, its quiet, clean, and looks fantastic. If you are willing to pay the premium price for a premium case, and willing to take care of your computer then this case is an awesome buy!
