Innovative and unique, the IN WIN D-FRAME chassis will make your power rig the best on the block with its aluminum pipe build and open-frame design. The D-FRAME continues and improves the FRAME concept and harmoniously blends craftsmanship and technology. Handcrafted with 100% fine aluminum, the D-FRAME embodies Win's pursuit of absolute precision. It boasts less than 0.5mm co-axial parallelism error - the aerospace industry's accuracy level - with superior strength in its aluminum piping structure. IN WIN's stable, welded framework is unrivalled in its quality and ruggedness for heavy duty use. High-end graphics card support, adjustable PSU holder, and convenient cable management mean uncompromised ease of assembly and DIY fun. Experience true beauty of craftmanship and excellence in technology with the IN WIN D-FRAME.

  • newegg Sand Casted and Handmade Each aluminum motherboard mounting plate on the D-Frame is handmade by applying traditional, sand-casting craftsmanship. Tooling for this chassis is made with reusable sand and looks natural and wild. A 750°C aluminum bath precisely shapes each board for the D-FRAME.
  • newegg TIG Technique The advanced aluminum alloy pipe reduces the weight of the overall case. A breakthrough in the aluminum creation process, D-Frame's unique bent pipe is welded with a new tungsten inert gas (TIG) technique, with greatly enhanced stability. Argon welding technology and 100% hand-craftsmanship make for precision construction. A combination of line coating for the heavy duty chassis, the unique bent pipe style, and limited fine construction synergize to create a real eye-catching CPU.
  • newegg Tempered Glass Extends Field of Vision Just like the utilization of tempered glass in building illumination, D-Frame's innovative design with the tempered glass side panel allows users to show-off system components inside the case. Tempered glass is produced from reinforced annealed glass forged by thermal treatment. Its delicate aesthetic offers unhindered views. Freely penetrating and extensive light and field of vision also further expand the sense of space.
  • newegg Open Air Design Open-air framework design provides excellent thermal performance, with support for up to four 120mm fans for enhanced cooling.
  • newegg Easy Installation Revolutionary 90-degree motherboard mounting allows easy access. Adjustable PSU holder supports a power supply of up to 220mm. Spacious cable management area helps organize and tie cables for neat inner looks and better air flow.
  • newegg USB 3.0 I/O Panel Two USB 3.0 ports and two audio ports on front panel allow handy connection to peripherals.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet case

Pros: It's strong. It's something that I have been looking forward to getting for some time. One of the things that some fail to realize is is the price is not all that bad at all. Aircraft grade is very expensive. I had to replace a strut on my plane one time and for this one little bar it was $230
lots of space.

Cons: Would be nice if they made it with one more 5.1 inch bay
I would have liked it if it had just a little bit more glass coverage on the top

Other Thoughts: I told myself that I was going to get one of these, be I made the mistake of waiting. I keep putting it off then there was no more left, but I got lucky and found out that one of the local stores had a demo left. I literally dropped all that I was doing and rushed down to get it. So I got the last one wohoo

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case!

Pros: Shock proof, easy to put together. The PCI bracket can be a little difficult but either way this thing is awesome. If In Win ever re releases these I would definitely buy another

Cons: The only true con is the dust and limit of 5.25 bays.

4 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality - Odd Engineering

Pros: The first thing that must be mentioned is the build quality. The driving reason for the cost, they did not cut corners. The machining and high quality materials you wont find in anything else currently available.

It fits almost anything... and you have the room to fit those that it does not natively support. Some have asked about non standard board sizes, the short answer is chances are you can find one or two standoff points that will match up, which is all you really need to hold the board on. The good news is with such a high quality backing plate, you could actually drill your own holes as needed.

Cons: Odd engineering choices abound, it suffers a bit in its choice of form over function. Some issues like cross bars blocking video card ports are more annoying than others.

The paint is also not a very industrial finish and is prone to chipping, particularly in places where it is metal on metal.

Fans seem like an afterthought as they should be, but if that's your thing they provide 2 brackets at the bottom.

Other Thoughts: I have filmed a nice walk around the case with my build in it where i discuss and show everything about the case.

In short if your using a standard ATX build you will be hard pressed to find a case more unique, or with more intrinsic value than this one. The high cost is due to its immensely high build quality. If showing off your case is not your thing there are much more functional and better valued cases out there.

As is its quality and wow factor are unmatched

5 out of 5 eggsBest case I have ever had

Pros: Open Air
Looks Clean
Easy Installation
Comes with needed tools and parts
Great for benchmarking
Better for multiple graphics cards with open air

Cons: The risk of dust in an open air case
Limitations of limited fans and drivebays
The lack of replacement parts
I' am still looking for a 5.25 drivebay replacement because I need another one

Other Thoughts: Awesome case for benchmarking and looking cool.
Helps keep GPU's cooler with open air.

5 out of 5 eggshopefully

Pros: I am going to get this case in Feb. provided there are still some left. I want this thing so bad it hurts. My wife just gave birth to our daughter so i cant get it now but i will. It's so beautiful. On a serious note, it was either this or the strike x and Im gonna spring for this one. I have never wanted a case so bad.

Cons: hopefully none

5 out of 5 eggsLove it!

Pros: Great Chassis. Fits an Asus W9-x79 E WS board that is larger than an ATX. Solidly built, well designed. Great way to show off a high end enthusiast build.

Cons: The paint chips. If you knock the paint or scratch it against something, it will chip easily as its powder coated. Only did this once and lesson learned.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat box

Pros: very good looking, industrial. well built - like a tank. easy to maneuver. cable routing is clean and easy. using the noctua U9B with a single fan with no issues -- not overclocking. not using any other case fans either. so super quiet.

Cons: will not fit the noctua D14; would have been nice to have support for more than one dvd drive.

easy to hit the power button instead of the dvd drive button.

2 out of 5 eggsNot a great case

Pros: I jumped on this case for the looks, the quality construction, and the open air design. I got the looks and open air design.

Cons: There are serious flaws that have caused major headaches.

First off, Newegg shipped me a rackmount server instead of this case as I ordered, and then was very nonchalant when I requested my real case. I wanted personalized service because of the limited quantity - I didn't want to lose my case. It took a lot of phone calls and time to get my case, and this is the first time I've been really displeased with Newegg. Strike one.

I'm finishing up the build and I toss in an old-fashioned Cooler Master PSU. The cables don't reach far enough to any of my hard drives and many of the cables that do reach are stretched to their limit. I had to borrow a PSU to get my computer started. Also the PSU mount on the case is complete garbage. It looks like they were originally going to mount the PSU in the case because there is a massive space below the MOBO, and then got too lazy. The plastic piece the secures the PSU is garbage, I don't understand why they went with plastic. Strike two.

I get the entire computer build finished and it is sitting horizontal on my antique solid wood desk. I'm always careful turning cases over to avoid damage to my desk, but the case is so large and bulky that I bobble and the corner immediately hangs and blows a big gash into my desk. Pretty much my fault but still Strike three.

Next, I take the USB receiver for my keyboard and mouse that I forget to connect and go to connect it to the motherboard. You can't easily reach any of the ports on the motherboard because there is a separation between the motherboard and the case. The USB receiver is very small, and I drop that, and it falls directly into my CPU cooler fan blowing both bits to shreds. Strike four.

Lastly, I'm finally just looking over the case, and the cast aluminum main frame that the MOBO mounts to looks like it was cast by a blind man. There are massive pores, holes, and all sorts of imperfections. I've cast parts in shop class before, and none ever came out this bad. They must not have invested the time to fill the casting with the right amount of sand. It's not like anyone will notice, but I know it's there. Strike five.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid!

Pros: Superior build! As stated in other reviews this case is premium quality construction. I can't get over how *not* flimsy it is. 90 degree mobo mounting is a stroke of genius for heat dissipation, but has disadvantages (see below.) Definitely the best built case available today.

Cons: Only one 5 1/2 inch bay. Thumb screws for PSU seem somewhat flimsy. Mobo mounting makes cable routing for monitors etc. a bit of a challenge. Especially since this case does not belong on the floor. It begs to be seen and should be placed appropriately. (Not a con but needs to be considered.)

Other Thoughts: Got Cougar Turbine CF-T12S4 120mm Case Fan to match, a perfect fit.

5 out of 5 eggsThis Case is Art

Pros: I don't know if In Win is making any money on this one. As an Aerospace Design Engineer I immediately noticed all of the costly and high quality features.

Here are some of the more expensive items:

Large aluminum dicast center frame, painted, then machined/ tapped.

Tubular frame:
High quality aluminum tubing, nice bending/ cutting of tubes and the TIG welding beads look great (this is all done by hand!). The frames are powdercoated, then machined at the interface from one to the next to ensure a perfect fit.

The tempered glass panels are top notch in style and finish quality. The tint and machined brackets are also impeccable.

The brackets and cages (for the hard drives, cd drive, front I/O) is the thickest aluminum I have ever seen on formed aluminum sheet metal. The anodizing/ finish is fantastic as well.

Also worth mentioning is the medical grade silicone vibration isolaters and feet.

The custom hardware (window panel nuts) and steel machined pieces (steel shafts and sleeves at the pipe joints) were also top notch

Assembly took me about 20 minutes but I am an engineer :) I would budget about an hour to be careful.

Finally, the industrial design on this case is phenomenal, there are some very talented designers over there at In Win!

Cons: The PSU bracket was a little bit cheesy compared the the rest of the case as well as the plastic thumbscrews used to attach it. The psu bracket rubs the tubes and is just a bit tight (it is all relative though)

I didn't have a USB 3.0 jumper on the MOBO, maybe I need an adapter (or newer MOBO).

This case is slightly larger than I would prefer or needs to be, but it is awesome, so who cares?

I/O cables come out the top and will require a little bit of cable management to look nice.

Dust is a big question mark.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case because of its beauty and striking modern look. As an engineer and motorcycle enthusiast (this case was inspired by Ducati's) I stood no change against the impulse buy. I simply had to have it, and so do you!

My pc build is nothing spectacular (1st gen i7 240gb SSD ect..). I was getting tired of my flimsy Lian-Li case and decided to move to a nicer case. I almost bought the silverstone FT02, but then saw this.

go to IKEA and buy their USB LED flexible lights for about five bucks. They are perfect for lighting up this case to make it look like a museum piece
