What goes into your case is more important than the case itself, which is something Lian-Li has not forgotten. That’s why the PC-65B is designed to protect its cargo from turbulance and trauma. It isn't just that this case has 80mm fans on the on top, and in the rear, or the two 80mm fans up front. It is the skill and precision in which they are placed, to make the four fans greater than the sum of its parts.

With all of that, you can feel secure filling it’s four external 5.25" and three external 3.5" drive bays, and its ample five internal hard drive bays without fear of blocking air flow to your maxed out ATX motherboard, all seven of its PCI expansion slots full. Your system will remain safe with ease, and your masterpiece will be viewable to all to gawk at through its high quality acrylic side window.

  • newegg Excellent Expandability with 12 Drive Bays Boasting four external 5.25" drive bays, three external and up to five internal 3.5" drive bays, the LIAN LI PC-65B provides superb expandability.
  • newegg Optimum Cooling Performance The LIAN LI PC-65B features four 80 mm fans (2 in the front, 1 at the rear and 1 on the top) with a three-speed fan controller for optimum cooling performance with minimum noise.
  • newegg Easy Installation With the sliding motherboard tray and removable PSU tray, installation of the motherboard and power supply is quick and convenient.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The convenient front I/O panel enables easy access to two USB 2.0 ports.

5 out of 5 eggslove this one

Pros: I have two of the older non-painted versions but I absolutely love this case. Light and Well constructed with space for plenty of items within.

Cons: It doesn't cook breakfast.

Other Thoughts: I'd be happy to use these forever.

Pros: awesome case through and through. ive had this case since build number 1 and im on 4. has kept everything cool, nothing has broke or bent or anything the whole time. while i dont lan or anything, i do swap part out of it alot, and it has held up strong for some time. great case!

Other Thoughts: if you dont mind spending the money, you will not be dissappointed. im going on build number 5 now, and overall very happy with this case, highly recomend this one!

5 out of 5 eggsFor Those wanting an Alternative

Pros: I owned this case, I love it, that's all I can say.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I waited for this case to come back in to stock on Newegg, since it hadn't, I ordered it from a different site; they ended up sending me a Lian Li PC65B Plus II.

There is the PC65B Plus II and the PC-7B Plus II. The PC65B plus uses a single 120mm fan in the lower front while the PC65B uses two side-by-side 80mm fans. Because of the larger 120mm fan, the PC65 only gives you two external 3.5" bays, while the PC65 gives you three external 3.5" bays due to the lower profile of the twin 80mm fans.
The PC7 appears very similar to both, and its exterior appearance is identical to the PC6x. However, the PC7 uses a 120mm fan at the rear as opposed to the 80mm fans used at the rear on the PC6x. Additionally, whereas the PC60 and PC65 both give you an 80mm fan for a top blow hole, the PC7 only gives you a vent. You can add a fan there, but Lian Li doesn't supply one with the case. The PC60 and PC65 have removable trays. Because of this, the PC7 cost less then the PC6x.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case In The World!!!

Pros: Love this case! After 6 years of use I absolutely love this case still! Easy access to anything, I love the way its built! Quality is outstanding! Nice window on the side, I have neon lighted fan on my power supply and on my cpu. Love how it shines! I hope this case will not get discontinued! Great job Lian Li! Just buy it! You wount get dissapointed!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I also have PC-75, full version of this case, unfortunately its discontinued item here on newegg now. I absolutely love it! I built few systems for my friends, and I only used pc-65 cases. And they all LOVED it!!

3 out of 5 eggsSolid but pricey

Pros: Case is a solid build, as Lian Li cases tend to be. Instructions included were lacking, but it's unlikely you'll actually need instructions if you're purchasing a case independently. Motherboard tray makes component installation easy.

Cons: It's pretty cramped inside. I had to remove the HDD cage to fit my 4870 I purchased a year ago. In mounting HDDs into the 3.5" floppy bay, they sat too far forward and required me to remove the fascia panels. Motherboard tray is made out of aluminum, so threads can be stripped easily.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: -thumb screws
-solid design
-doesn't scratch easily
-looks great
-nice airflow

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This case is so solid. its all the little things put together that make this thing great. the front panel pops off without any wires still attached, the motherboard plate slides out of the back, no cheap plastic snaps that break off after the second time you change your graphics card, very roomy. this case will last though every generation of ATX hardware to come.

4 out of 5 eggsHuh, imagine that.

Pros: I read 4-5 reviews quickly, all said ventilation was poor. ? I have 5 SATA HDDs, the OS resids on a 74G Raptor 10,000rpm. A friend gave me this case for a reason he had for not liking it (see Cons). I switched to this case because of HDD heat. My 74G Raptor was running hot at 144 F in my previous case, and is now running hot at about 128 F. 15 degree drop. The other drives are down significantly also. Good airflow and cooling abilities, imo.

Also, smooth feeling case (exterior), with smooth sliding trays, good seams, and smooth screws. I didn't gouge a knuckle. Excellent quality.

Lastly, I moved from a 'server case' to this. Some people might consider power supply cables to be a stretch in this case, but my server case was a bigger stretch on PS cables.

Cons: My friend who gave me this case thought is was loud (after reviews had said it was quiet). He was looking for quiet. I don't care so much, but I have to admit, the case has noise. Not intolerably so for me, but there is some fan noise. Hmm, maybe I got the case that the fans work well (but with some noise), while some of you got the case where the fans don't work well so the case doesn't cool well (but darn they're quiet!). :) I don't know. I got noisy yet nicely cool.

Other Thoughts: Fans are inexpensively replaceable for almost everyone. I'm not going to bother, because to me the noise is tolerable (but there). And I'm having luck with cooling. I might suggest that people use the case space well and space HDDs out. I have 5 installed and no 2 touch. Also, think about airflow (some setups work better if you reverse the rear case fan[s] blowing in and vent PS upward). Especially good for video cards trying to weakly blow outward in an under-pressured system. (Under pressured box = where fans sucking out > fans blowing in; over-pressured box = fans sucking out < fans blowing in.)

In all other respects, this case really is A-number-One. At least, that is my experience thus far. I'd recommend one.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: I've had this case now for 2 years and it's a good case.
1. Looks really nice.
2. Easy to mod.
3. Great side window.
4. All aluminum and everything fits nicely.

Cons: The one con for me is the fact that this uses all 80mm fans. They just don't push enough air to cool today's video cards. I've had to mount a 120mm fan inside the case by taking out the HD rack. My gtx 260 was just getting too hot in there and suffocating.

Other Thoughts: Lian Li makes great cases and I've been using them for quite some time now. When I get my next case it will be a Lian Li because they pay attention to detail.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, but outdated.

Pros: Looks great, feels great, 100% aluminum. Nice pull-out mobo tray, hand screws are nice. Looks professional, but simple compared to the other flashy cases out there, but simple and professional is what I like.

Cons: -You can't put GTX 200 cards in, as the space needed by the cards is about 11 inches, but you only have about 10 inches room. This was a drag, now im stuck with a 8800gt until i buy a new case. :(
- No side window fan(i installed one myself, but I dont recommend it unless you know what youre doing!), ventiliation is poor.

Other Thoughts: Lian-Li needs to redesign this case to fit new video cards and somehow provide better ventilation.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek, Simple, Functional. Fantastic Case.

Pros: Firstly, the side window makes this case especially attractive when modded with led lights and fans. The removable motherboard tray is easy to remove and work on and then reinstall back into the case. For only having 4, 80mm fans, this case stays consistently cool. Why pay $300 for a case that won't look as cool as this one?

Cons: The only con I have would be NewEgg initially sending me the wrong case. They sent the same style case, without the side window. I almost didn't want to be bothered returning it, but the window option was an extra $30. After requesting and receiving an RMA, and a free return shipping label, NewEgg replaced the case and I received the correct one in 8 days. With NewEgg, this was a no hassle fix.
